It’s a two stars hotel. The room is large, the air conditioning works perfectly, there was a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge, the location is perfect with continuous buses to the city centre, there are toiletries. The breakfast room is comfortable. The hotel is very correct for what you pay. The mood of the other people staying at the hotel was relaxed.

The towels are not the best in size or quality. Easy to hear other people in their rooms although we were lucky. There is street noise if you open the window. If you close it, it isolates the noise pretty well

Great location. Just 2 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants.A bus stop is just outside of the hotel, to take you to Malaga's historical part of the city and shopping area. Room has a big TV, a fridge a teepot and many shelves for storage. Great hot shower. Bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and a hair drier.Breakfast was very good too, starting with youghurts, fruits, toast, pastries , selection of serano ham, salami, different types of cheese and finishing with great cup of coffee. Owners of the hotel and staff are very friendly.

Elcano is a lovely hotel which is 5-minutes walk from the sea. Our room was spacious and comfy and the bathroom was clean and fairly big. The bed was the comfiest we found on our 12-day trip around Andalusia. There was a fridge and kettle in the room. The hotel was quiet and although the staff seemed to speak only Spanish we had no problems communicating. Breakfast is available in the cafe downstairs. We were able to park for free on a street less than 5-minutes walk away. We only stayed for one night since we needed somewhere not too far from the airport but we would definitely like to stay here again and explore Malaga properly.

Breakfast was a bit bland but we had the simple breakfast because we needed to get to the airport, so the full breakfast may have been better.

Hotel Elcano is very well placed - at the lovely road just a few mins from nice and clean beach, with restaurants and cafes. There is fantastic transport as well - the bus stop in just in the front of hotel and you have 3 buses going to the Malaga centre about 15-20mins. There is a big Carrefour in walking distance (10-15mins), however it's better to take the bus for 2 stops when you're coming back with heavy shopping. Hotel Elcano is very clean, staff is kind, although sometimes not speaking English :) Our room was very small and we couldn't change it as hotel was fully booked, however, as we're leaving in the morning and coming back late evening, it was not a problem.. Especially that we had fantastic huge and very comfy bed, as well as good bathroom with amazing shower (great water temperature to set up easily and water pressure like in my dreams!). Overall, it's very good relation of price to the quality, we absolutely recommend it!

The room could be bigger, also, as the reception is closed after 16.00, it would be nice to have some access to cupboard if we need to borrow some cutlery, plate or...corkscrew 😉

Located in a nice local beach area, the hotel itself is nicely decorated and well taken care of. The bathroom is very clean, and the water pressure is nice.

I was messaged for a key box password for late check-in. When I arrived, I opened the box according to the message's guidance, but found no key inside. I had to ring the emergency number twice and got it sorted at last. I was worried because I wasn't sure if my SIM card could call internationally. There was no complimentary water in the room.

The place was clean, the staff is very accomodating, they even let us stay later in the room after check out. We had AC, mini fridge, our bathroom and it was also clean. Everything was perfect. The location is also great, the sea is very close there a lot of good restaurants and also cheap. The bus station is next to the Hotel. Also if you like walking along the coast its a one hour walk to the center.

I liked everything

Great location in the beautiful area of Pedregalejo, next to the beach. Beautiful colonial house with spacious rooms and bathrooms. Clean and comfy, everything you need for a few nights in Malaga. Super good value for money.

The shower didn't work properly due to being a little old. There was a kettle in the room but only for tea, not coffee. The breakfast opens a little too late (9am), so if you are an early bird you will have to wait and if you are a coffee drinker (vs tea) you will also have to wait.

Can't comment much as we stayed just one night, but it was clean, safe and overall rather convenient. Also, just one block from the beach, the promenade and the restaurants.

Nothing in particular, just a couple of things to be aware. If you want breakfast at the hotel, you have to reserve it beforehand. Not a problem as there many breakfast places right down on the beach. Also, free parking is available on the nearby streets.

The owner, Modesta, she was very nice and generous with her advices. She made me feel welcome. Not just like good service but she was also warm and smiling a lot. It seems that she likes travellers 👍🏻 The Terrace is beautiful and the coffee was very good Location is amazing with the main bus that stops directly in front of Elcano ! 4min walk to the beach 🏖️

It was a little bit noisy at night, but not too much either.

Room was okay. Bed was comfortable. Location of the beach was not bad, good walk. Breakfast was good.

The Couch in the room should be removed, it was tired and the color (orange) looked dreary. Shower head was loose and sprayed the ceiling. There are little things that need repair and attention. There was no view like the description said, and the window shades did not work.
