La Chancla is a little pearl close by the beach situated about 20 min. from the city center of Málaga town. It is very neat and clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has a rooftop terrace where you can hang out and read books or, if it is not too cold, you can enjoy the jacuzzi while looking out on the swaying palms and enjoying a beautiful view to Málaga city further down the beach line as the sun sets. Also the connecting restaurant is splendid. Here you may enjoy a very fulfilling breakfast as well as other meals and snacks during the day. We had breakfast every day because it was superb. Also, it is recommendable to try the fried fish from one of the several stalls connected to each restaurant on the path. The surroundings have a riviera vibe to it, but the houses are very small and traditional which makes everything downsized and very easy going. In about 1 hr. you can walk all the way to Málaga or you can go by bus, which will take around 20 min depending on traffic.

Perfect location right on the beach and a lot of high quality cafes in both directions (including the hotel). The cabanas were clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The sand and water was so nice! The free breakfast was outstanding with great food and service. The people watching while sitting in the cafe(s) was fun. The facility was very clean and all the staff including the front desk were very helpful and friendly, even with our limited Spanish speaking language skills. It was pretty easy to get an Uber in both directions with friendly drivers. I would definitely stay here again!
I really can't think of anything that I did not like. The rate was a little expensive for my financial position, but the value for everything included was great. If the rate scares you off, go for it anyway as the free breakfast is great, the staff is great, and the views, access to other cafes, and the beach which is literally steps from the hotel makes this a gem. This is definitely a place for me to stay again, hands down.

The team at reception and the team at the restaurant were very helpful, absolutely charming and really friendly.
It was a lovely property. The view and sound of the sea in our room was just great. I would have loved a ‘comfy chair corner’ from which to enjoy the view! The twin beds were very comfortable. Shower facility was great but I found it difficult not to flood the bathroom floor😀 sometimes. And a small fridge for those extra bottles of water would have been really good! Overall a wonderful stay in a lovely place run by a lovely team of people. 👍👍👍

This hotel really exceeded our expectations - it is much better than it looks on the pictures! It has a very cool rooftop with a self-service bar and jakuzi with amazing seaview! The lady at reception was very friendly, she upgraded us to a nicer room, which was available at the time and also kindly agreed to store our luggage for a bit longer after check out. The beach is right at the front door, in the morning you can also go out for a run along the beach, and the area is full of great restaurants. The hotel itself has its own restaurant and bar which was also very good. The center of Malaga is easily reachable by bus, but we definitely prefer this part of the city for accommodation.

This is a fantastic hotel by the beach. If you want to unwind in Malaga, this is the spot. The rooms are big, clean and overall well maintained. Almost all rooms have a big window facing the beach and top 2 rooms have a window to view the sky. The windows also have an electric shutter to close it in case you prefer no light in the room. The bed is big and super comfortable. There is a hot tub jacuzzi available as well. The restaurant below has an amazing breakfast and its very affordable. Tonnes of restaurant around as well. Overall, this place is worth the money!
Nothing! Loved everything. Just a note, this hotel is about 10-15 mins from the train station and not very well connected to public transport. Best to take a local cab or cabify to get here (10-15 euros).

I loved the location right on the beach, the shower worked really well, all the staff were friendly especially reception who was so smiley and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. A really lovely laid back place to stay.
Because the bar and cafe are so popular on one morning as hotel guests who had paid for breakfast we couldn't get a table. I think we should have been offered the chance to reserve a table for breakfast.

The hotel is located on the beachfront, with a beautiful view from the top when you bathe in the jazzuzi which is available to every guest. The food is delicious, the alcohol is cold and good, the staff is very nice and helpful. The stay in this hotel was one of the best and I travel quite often. In the morning, you play the guitar or the organ. It was really great.

I was lucky enough to be given one of the rooms on the roof terrace. The bed was the comfiest I’ve slept in and it was relaxing to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. All the staff were friendly, the food was good, the hot tub was warm and perfect for relaxing with a superb view over the beach and sea. The honesty bar is a great idea with very reasonable prices. For the included breakfast you could order a choice of fresh fruit juices, a drink such as coffee and a main dish chosen from the main breakfast menu which was a great start to the day. I will definitely stay here again.
Nothing.

The hotel has an ideal location on the beach. It has a terrace on roof with hot tub and a place to relax. Had parking spaces nearby at 10E per day. Terrace bedroom big and spacious.
Staff receptionist was exceptional and very helpful. Staff in bar/restaurant unfriendly, unhelpful and at times rude. Breakfast served in restaurant with the public. Had no idea what we were allowed and having ordered a coffee, one egg omelette and crossiant she called us back to say we had had TWO breakfasts!! and had to pay for second!

Position directly on the beach with no road in front. Good restaurant and breakfast included. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice sea view with windows opening to the sound of the sea.
You need to be prepared to park 5 minutes walk from the hotel as it is in a pedestrian zone. The hotel has a limited number of spaces at a reduced rate if you enquire in advance. This was no problem for us in January.
