It was our first time in Malaga and we initially wanted to book someting a bit closer to the centre , but then decided to go for Villa Antumalal after reading all the good comments. And we were not disappointed. The Villa itself is beautifully situated in a super nice and quiet area. The walk to the beach took us less than 10 Minutes and to the centre 20 minutes. There is also a supermarket close by. At night it's absolutely no problem to walk as it is very safe but if you prefer a taxi ride from the centre to the Villa it costs around 6-8 Euro. Very cheap and Taxis are literally everywhere. The Villa has the most beautiful and peaceful garden with enough space and sunbeds for everyone. The Villa was fully booked but as they only have 6 rooms there was always space for everyone and it never felt cramped. The pool was bigger than expected and the view onto the port of Malaga is just breathtaking. We already miss it. We were always looking forward to come back in the evening and to sit in the garden for a while before going to bed. The beds were super comfy and nights were quiet. We haven't slept that good in a long time. Water pressure in the shower was great and also the hair dryer did it's job. The rooms are fully equipped with everything you need. The fact that there wasn't a Tv was actually a blessing. But if you still can't live without there is a big Tv in the comunal living room which is also nice to hang out. The hosts are the most nice and approchable people you will meet. They are super helpful and make a special effort to make your stay a good one. For breakfast there was always everything you needed and everyday we got a different homemade cake or Croissants. When we were sitting in the garden just to relax Rossella and Michele would show up with some freshly cut Melon for everyone. A nice little touch which we really appreciated. We highly reccomend this place and its hosts. Thank you for everything!

Absolutely nothing

It was our first night of a two week stay in Andalucia and we could not have got off to a better start. Villa Antumalal B&B is in a stunning house with beautiful views. Interestingly and beautifully decorated. Class. The best part was the owner Michaele who is the kindest host and made us feel welcome and comfortable. He gave us all the shortcuts to the restaurants and beach. And was helpful with parking instructions and suitcases. There are outdoor stairs to reach the B&B which is perched on a hill with a fantastic view of the sea, lovely garden and pool. Our comfortable and spacious room did not have a tv, but it was clearly described without one, and frankly after the long travel, we just crashed - bed very comfortable. The best part is their beautiful breakfast - great coffee and amazing spread of fruits and delights - in a well decorated stunning bright room. It was an excellent way to start our trip and we are grateful to Michaele and would recommend Villa Antumalal B&B without hesitation.

I loved the beautiful location of this villa. It is a little bit out of the old town but me and my sister didn’t mind walking for 35 minutes or so especially after a big dinner 😁 The local beach that’s closest to the villa la Caletta is very nice and so much quieter than the main beach near the port la Malagetta. The villa itself is beautifully decorated with lovely garden. Very quiet location at night. Although there was some building work going on from the morning around 8.30? But we didn’t mind that as we were off to have breakfast by then and off we went.. We had a sea view room which had a lovely little balcony with lovely view of the sea and the Malaga port. On our arrival we were welcomed by the friendly owner Michele. She was super helpful and friendly. She baked a different cake each day. The breakfast was delicious. Great choice. Coffee was really good too. I would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing not to like

Loved the private feel of the house, the views over the harbour and the garden pool.

It was a pain to street park in the area, the roads are very windy, narrow and very busy with cars. I would have expected a bit more of personal touch of the hosts in such a private setting of this villa, they were friendly and efficient but not very warm and personal. Also would have loved fresh orange juice for breakfast at this price (it was cheaply available everywhere else on town). The walk to the local bus stop into Malaga City is a bit longer than advertised and a steep uphill climb on the return!

Villa Antumalal is in a very green neighbourhood away from hectic city. The best side of Villa Antumalal is the location. The villa has a beautiful sea view and is surrounded by trees. It was so peaceful to watch the view with birds chirping. The second best part of the villa was friendship of Michael, the owner and his wife. It was very nice to talk to them. They were like the host of the villa than a hotel owner. They prepare breakfast every day and it was delicious. I could find everything what I need for a breakfast. Different kind of fresh baked delicious home made cakes were bonus of the breakfasts. We had a very peaceful holiday (4 days) thanks to them.

I liked everything. But there's something that might be difficult for some visitors. There's not many restaurants around the villa. We stayed there during low season so there might be more restaurants around during high season. But buses that go to the city center is very frequently and takes just 6-7 minutes to get the city center. After the closest bus stop to Villa Antumalal, you need to walk uphill for 6-7 minutes. In my opinion, since you reach a beautiful view in the end it's worth to climb up :)

What a wonderful place. The hosts have put their heart and soul into making it a special experience for you. They couldn't be more helpful and welcoming from ordering taxis for us, to making the best Aperol Spritz! We really appreciated how much work this lovely couple put into making the B and B run so efficiently.

Very nice and friendly hosts, fantastic view from balcony from a small hill over Malaga and the ocean. Good breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Cozy lobby and garden, unfortunately I was there out of pool season, but that would be another advantage in summer. You have to know that it’s no hotel here, it’s a (very good) classical B&B. I like this because it’s more individual than a boring big hotel with much of people.

It‘s a little bit outside so you need a taxi or Uber to go there if you don’t want to climb the hill… bus didn’t work well but maybe because of weekend.

Superb villa, the hosts are super nice, the breakfast choices varied from lots of fresh fruits to some very tasty mortadella. There were also lots of drinks such as coffee and different types of chocolate drink, tea, orange juice. There are many stairs so if you are traveling with lots of luggage like we did, you will do a quick workout on the way. Moreover, if you are not traveling by car/moto, I would recommend taking an Uber to get there as the villa is located on top of a hill and it can be difficult to go by foot with luggage. :) The parking is nonexistent, however there is some space (on the street) where you can park just 1 min away from the villa.

Everything about Villa Antumalal was excellent - I'll begin with the amazing location with a gorgeous view of the port. The property was decorated perfectly and in tune with local styles. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable, with a balcony to boot. Although we didn't use the time to laze around and use the pool, the aesthethic and functionality of the place was amazing. Our host, with his long stint in the hospitality sector, was extremely helpful, informative and gave amazing breakfasts. He was a delight to interact with, and we learned a lot about how to get about and make use of the time in the city. We definitely hope to go back there soon!

Villa Antumalal was a wonderful, relaxing experience. We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of June in an ocean view room with king bed and small patio. Room was very spacious, with good wifi, AC, fridge, and private bath. The hosts Rossella and Michele were very gracious and helpful in suggesting local restaurants in area. Our luggage was delayed 48hrs beyond our arrival and they even offered to do a load of laundry for us and were helpful facilitating delivery of our bags. Property is adults only, very quiet and is located in a beautiful residential area in the hills about 10min east of Malaga Centro by bus. It is a perfect location if you don't want to be in the middle of the city center. While taxi is available, we walked up and down the hill (with stairs) to bus stops, market, and restaurants. Breakfast was provided and very tasty - meats, cheeses, fruit, breads, cereals, yogurt and a fresh baked cake daily. Property has a pool and yard with lovely view of the water. Highly recommended!!!
