The hotel is lovely, little bit outdated in terms of decor, but spotless. Our room was very good size with big bathroom and balcony. The room had everything we needed including kettle and mini fridge. Staff were absolutely fantastic and so so helpful. There was nothing they could not do. Breakfast was very good. I’m very picky with my coffee, so cava was a great alternative that they served at breakfast. There was plenty of sunbeds at the pool which is important. Outdoor pool was a bit cold but we took advantage of their spa facilities which was absolutely fab. We only tried pool bar food once and it was ok, but the paella that they serve on Fridays was really good. Location - you would not find better. It is literally a minute walk from Benalmádena marina where all restaurants are located. The area is extremely clean and safe with many bars and restaurants to choose from.

The hotel is lovely. Great location, all the rooms are the same inside spacious but just different views and the staff can’t do enough for you . The food is good value and it’s my 8th visit here even though I have my own apartment and stayed in other hotels, always stay here !

Location, staff and facilities

I booked a room for 1 and of course as usual had to pay for 2 but what was extraordinary was that i couldnt book room only ie without breakfast and had to pay for 2 breakfasts. Ive travelled all over the world and this has never happened before. When i asked at reception about this they said there was nothing they could do as i had booked through booking.com Hotel needs to address this either by only charging for 1 breakfast or by offering room only. For this reason my stay was very expensive.

A good test of a hotel is whether you consider returning. I can catagorically state that my wife and I will definitely be going back to the Mac Puerto Marina. This eight-day break was our first time to this area of the Costa Del Sol. We could not have picked a better spot. Benalmadena is vibrant, clean and smart. Plenty of shops, snack bars and restaurants. The beaches, too, are fantastic. A great place to holiday. The Mac Puerto Marina is a great hotel. Not too big but big enough. The pool area is terrific with plenty of chairs available. The pool itself is very nice, too. We were certainly lucky and everybody around the pool was very respectful of everyone else and it was fairly quiet with a nice atmosphere. We had breakfast and evening meal at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent every day with plenty of choice - cooked, fruit, pastries, toast, juices, coffee, tea, etc. The evening fare was good and we enjoyed everything we had, although it could occasionally be a little 'ho-hum'. A couple of things. The meals are all buffets, so you serve yourself. Also, if you want anything to drink with your evening meal you have to pay for it - even water. I think we lucked out with our room. It was very quiet and on the fourth (top)-floor. We had our own sun terrace, which was very nice. The bathroom and the decor were a little tired and could probably have done with a bit of a refresh but that is being nit-picky. It was fine. One of the great things about the hotel was the fact the water was always hot. There was no worrying about having a lukewarm shower or shave. I would also like to commend the wifi. It was blazing fast and available everywhere in the hotel. The staff are very friendly and we had good experiences all over the hotel.

Great choices in the breakfasts,and dinners.,great quality food...wonderful staff. Our 5th holiday in this hotel..will definitely return. Alot of improvements and renovations observed.. From arrival to departure all was 100%.. Rosa, reception staff and dining staff could not do more to help their guests..well done !! Thank you..

Ideally located on the Marina. We got a beautiful meal on our late arrival even though Dinner had finished. Complimentary soft drinks ,water and beer in fridge in our room. Also an electric kettle . Beautifully presented food every day.. Plenty of available sunbeds at all times.

€ 2.70 charge at dinner for a half litre bottle water .A bit expensive.

All the staff in the hotel are so friendly and helpful food in the restaurant was very good. Beautiful hotel nd super location. Will be back.

the price for this hotel keeps going up quite a lot year on year I'm staying here twice a year for the last 10 years but I'd say this will be the last as you can get as good hotels around for a lot cheaper

Location! What a good spot! Nicest spot on the coast for miles up and down in both directions. My wife and I are walkers and walked both north to Torremolinos and South to Fuengirola, and Benalmadena Marina specifically was a much more upmarket and pleasant spot to stay in than any part of this coast I experienced within 10 miles. Food quality for buffet style arrangement was very good. Small things tell a much bigger story, its the quality of ingerdients. a good example was the ice cream was a real gelato, where you may find in many other places this is where buffet style cheaps out

overpriced parking at 20 euros per day, if you need to park your car there. There is free parking outside, but as this is a busy area, its a lottery if you will get a spot.
