Everything was just perfect: early check-in, upgraded room, sea view, breakfast, dinner, EVENING PROGRAMS, wifi (very fast), two swimming pools (very clean), late checkout, personnel.

location, breakfast, view, the room was upgraded. Above one of the best hotel managers on earth. We were at the hotel during the blackout of Spain and they managed the crisis with great professionalism.

The location is fantastic. Easy walk to the marina, beach, shops. It is very quirky. Loved the pieces of art and lamps they had. Our view was amazing. The entertainment was good and it was nice to know that the pool bar was there at the end of each night. The staff there were excellent- always welcomed you with a smile. They were still smiling when you seen them at breakfast. We only had breakfast but it was very good - great choice and all fresh. Reception were also very helpful.

Only thing was the steps to the plunge pool. There are about 15. The 2nd last step is taller than all the others. I carried my tray of drinks all the way up then tripped. Lots of bruises! However, we watched a few people, including the waitress do the same. Maybe some yellow tape to highlight it would help?

The Cleanliness and the inside beauty of this hotel was fabulous 👌🏾 Thier bed was just the best comfort I ve ev3r experience in any hotel Slept like baby thru out our Stay Thier reception staff re very professional and Likable Even their manager is so friendly with thier visitors and workers He is so down to earth u can feel 5he workers ve it good Thier restaurant was great with great with tasty food lots of fish dishes which was 👍🏽 👌🏾 And the kitchen staff re so organized and happy We felt at home and welcomed ☺️

Missed kettle to make tea in room Could ve been nice with a bit different activity t in evenings A customer took his dog thru the restaurant and he wasn't stopped It was very disappointing 😞

The hotel is always spotlessly clean and the daily maid service and clean towels are very appreciated. The staff are friendly and welcoming. This was our third visit and we pleased to see the improvements made to the restaurant and pool bar. The entertainment was better, this year, enjoyed the Flamenco very much.

Unfortunately there was a large group of men attending a stag weekend. They took over the quiet top pool area and played their own music very loudly and were becoming very drunk and noisy. This disrupted the relaxed atmosphere of the top pool and many complaints were made. However the hotel manager was not available and those guests that were affected by the noise were told to move to another area. Sadly the situation was not very well managed, luckily we were going home that day. Maybe some form of rules should be put in place for large group bookings to ensure minimum disruption for the rest of the guests. For example the top pool is a quiet area for relaxation, music only by the lower pool and bar area only.

Great location, exceptionally clean, staff were very helpful. Breakfast has an amazing choice and Maria deserves a special mention for always smiling and looking after us . We will definitely return at some point and highly recommend this hotel.

The only slight down point was we felt the bathroom could have had a walk in shower as it seemed quite dated although the positives are it was very clean and the shower was hot and very powerful.

Adults only! Great location near the Marina and beach. Two nice pool areas and plenty of sunbeds at this time of year. Nice sea-view room with fridge, safe, balcony and great views. Great staff, especially Maria and Maria in the Sun and Moon pool bar. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

The showers at the pool! They don't turn off automatically but people often don't realise this and walk away leaving them on. Lost count of the amount of times we has to get up and turn them.off. Can be a bit rowdy at this time of year with stag and hen groups.

Hotel Alay has a fantastic position right opposite the Marina, we were very lucky and got a room on the top floor (12) and had an amazing view to the Marina. The room was large and beds comfortable, bathroom a bit dated with bath instead of walk in shower. The balcony was good size and had 2 chairs and table. Hotel has 2 pools and both quite small but always got beds OK. The hotel was 90% Spanish in August which I thought was unusual, very few British/Germans. Highly recommend staying at the Marina as there are dozens of restaurants, bars, Supermarket and shops there. Bus stop about 500 yards away and good service to Mijas etc only €1.70.

The Hotel entertainment was pretty loud and sometimes went on quite late. The food was good at breakfast but not amazing at dinner. Main course choice always seems to have 2 fish dishes, also no ice cream for dessert! No soft drinks included with half-board not even water or coffee. Cheaper to buy drinks at bar and take into dinner.

Pool/lounge areas were stunning and roof top, lovely views and very clean. Room was spacious, balcony had a beautiful sea view. Rooms were clean and room service excellent daily. Great shower pressure. Reception/bar/restaurant staff all very kind, welcoming and friendly. Hotel very large, with parking and lots of space. Didn't use the spa services but the area looked calmed and relaxing and lots of treatment choices. Hotel had entertainment on over the weekend too which was good. Including Flamenco dancing one night and a DJ another. Location was excellent, less than 5 minute walk to the marina where there were lots of restaurants and shops. A 5 minute walk to Torremelinos the next town over which is full of things to do and places to go. Locals all very friendly too. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Room was nice and spacious. Access to UK TV Channels Pool areas not too crowded. Staff were lovely and helpful. Safe provided free of charge many other hotels charge Location is excellent. Breakfast was nice.

Entertainment could be heard in our room 360 it was very loud on our first night 29.07.24 could not sleep till after 11pm Staff refused to serve us in glasses at the pool bar during the day even though we were not going to the pool. The plastic tumbler measure used during the day was a lot less than the glass tumblers used at night but they still charged 4.5 Euros for both which was a bit of a rip off. Hated the plastic tumblers.
