Nice and clean with friendly helpful staff. Lots of common areas to relax in. 3 pools and grassed areas with sunbeds. Breakfast choice is vast. Large clean dining room with every conceivable choice of cheeses and cooked meats. Lots of cereal and breads to choose from. Coffee tea and fruit juice available. All self service and as much as you can eat. A little tricky to make up a convincing full English though, the bacon looks more like Spanish ham and I thought the sausages were raw at first glance. They’re not, I think they were steamed but actually tasted really nice. The mushrooms were cooked with garlic and there were also beans, eggs and toast etc Well worth €8. You can pay as you go if you are room only. Just turn up and hand over your money to the nice lady at the desk.

The rooms were a little smaller than they looked on the pictures and the fan in the shower didn’t work which is a minor detail. It is also a short but steep hill to walk back up from the beach and restaurants. Not too easy when you are full of food and cocktails. Solid foot wear required.

The hotel is superb. The staff were excellent and friendly (reception, bar, restaurant and housekeeping). On our first night, we arrived late and they offered to include lunch on the last day as part of our full-board package as we’d missed the first meal, a great start. The rooms were slick and modern with a power shower and comfy beds. Bright and functional room plus a free beer in the fridge. The patio doors wouldn’t lock, I reported it to reception and they fixed it within an hour - at 8 in the evening, brilliant! The rest of our stay was a joy, great breakfast selection, lovely lunch and dinner selection with a live cooking station doing 4 varieties of meat and fish each meal. Plenty of fresh fruit and veg at every meal, all the toppings you’d need. Pool was excellent. Always able to get a sunlounger. Pool towels could be rented from reception for 2E (plus deposit) and borrowed until departure, even tho we left after checkout time. Best of all was the superb friendly service throughout our stay, including on the last day when we were given access to a spare shower room and bag storage area, secured with key and CCTV. I would definitely return, we loved it here.

Hotel would benefit from a pizza oven to make Italian-style based, the pizza wasn’t very good or authentic. Food labelling should be improved (unclear if meat or fish dishes, even at live station). Soya or oat milk at the bar with coffee would be good. These are all minor points.

The pool is the best I have been in and I have stayed in a few hotels / apartments in the surrounding area. Breakfast was lovely and well worth the 8 euros it costs and so was the evening meal (18 euros), I only had the evening meal when it was the Spanish theme. There is a different theme each night. you just pay on the door to the restaurant if you are not BnB or half board drinks are extra cost though. I just picked the theme I wanted to eat My room (565) was excellent as a solo traveller, plenty of space, decent sized balcony, decent sized en suite too. The location is really good. down the hill is the beach up the hill is the town centre and the train station too.

My balcony overlooked a man's back garden who liked to strip off fully naked after he'd been for a dip in his own little pool. Don't ever put your keycard next to your kindle it wipes the card and you can't get back in your room

The hotel has three different pools which is really good to have a choice. The grounds are very nice and the hotel, restaurant, and overall surroundings are lovely.

The Property could do with some care. For example the toilet roll holder in my room was literally hanging off the wall and both rails on the steps in the Zen pool were hanging on by a thread which is quite dangerous if someone slips and grabs it they will just fall down. They are extremely wobbly and not secure at all. Definitely in need of some maintenance. In my opinion the beds were extremely hard which made it difficult for a good night sleep.

The staff were incredible, especially those who worked the poolside bar. Really friendly and everyone did a fantastic job managing the power cut. The food selection was excellent, with different options everyday. The location was great, close to everything and only a few minutes from the beach. The cocktails were top. Enjoyed many by the pool which was really well kept. Absolutely loved my stay here and definitely would return again.

Good location to the beach and marina in walking distance. To the other sites and centre if you like walking, around 7 euro with taxis. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great selection for breakfast from cold to hot. Dinner was different every evening with a variety of dishes and desserts. Had a cooking station, which was a lovely touch to both breakfast and dinner. The pool area was large with a bar/food area. The rooms were a decent size, and the shower had great pressure. I loved the shower gel provided as it smelled so fresh and left the body soft and smooth. It is a busy hotel, especially closer to the weekend. The room got cleaned every day and changed towels, so that was great to have. Had an enjoyable experience overall and was very happy to stay here.

I am quite happy with my stay at this hotel. This is just to highlight for other visitors. The pool area was very busy, and loungers were scarce, or people holding them up with towels. The bed does have a firm mattress. Located on a hill and can be daunting to walk up in the heat, it got better as the days went by. Cleaning of the room, one negative, the floor was not being swept properly or at all, and as beach person, gathered a lot sand. Nothing slippers can't solve. The shower does overflow just a bit, but there are towels to be used and changed every day.

The location is great if you want to be outside of the busy areas of Benalmadena but also want to walk 15-20 minutes to the main marina. The hotel is on a hill which is no issue for us but might be harder if you have walking problems. The hotel was always very clean and tidy, even by the pool. The pool was good, there is a table tennis and a basic gym. The air con was very good in the room. The breakfast is better than a 3 star hotel, I would say this meets more 4 star breakfast, there were plenty of cold and hot options. The snack bar by the pool was great as well and the food was tasty.

The room we were in seemed the walls were very thin and you could hear every bang from other doors closing which was not great at night. We unfortunately also had some nosier guests which did not help when they came in early hours but they were not necessarily that loud, we just feel the walls were thin which made the situation worse. The wifi was also not working by the pool or bar area so you would need to use your 5G down there but otherwise mostly worked in the room.

The hotel was in a perfect location in the middle between Arroya de Miel and the front. The hill is steep to climb up to the hotel so not ideal if you have walking difficulties. The room was really nice and clean. The staff in the hotel were exceptional, the restaurant staff were quick and efficient at clearing our table. The food was nice and enough choice. The pool area is lovely and the cocktails on offer were delicious with a really good price.

The evening meal is kind of theme based, so when it was fish night, that's kind of all there was. The pizza station didn't offer great pizzas. We were fine but could just do with a little more option for English palette's.

Overall a fantastic stay in THB San Fermin. Value for money for sure - deserves a 4* rating in my opinion. Only had breakfast which was great. Table tennis, gym and pool tables great addition. We travelled in a group of 18 for a stag do in Benalmadena and the staff weren’t judgemental at all and were super welcoming (barring one lifeguard).

We had a ball confiscated from us and were cheated like we were students in school by a lifeguard - DESPITE the day before another lifeguard allowing anyone poolside to use a ball in the pool! NOT consistent. The female lifeguard who took the ball was rude and arrogant.
