I stayed here last week, on the 25/3. My first impressions were that I already considered the staff to be very attentive and friendly, and I also enjoyed the food in the restaurant. So I could see straight away why the hotel has such good reviews. It's also a relaxing atmosphere, despite being in a busy location near to the airport. But I was most impressed by the gentleman behind reception in the evening, who really helped out a fellow tourist who was in distress, due to issues with his booking. The hotel deserves a top review for that alone, and the man behind reception was a credit to the hotel and Sri Lankan hospitality, so massive respect to him. 👍 :)

Staff were super friendly to me and they were always available for help. I was given a very good discount because my stay was between one to two-day. Welcome with a refreshing drink before I finish it, they have given me the key card and are ready to go to my room. Check out also was a breeze. There were no unnecessary restrictions. My favorite part is the bridge, which is like a walking path with a roof. If I want to stay outside the room, I have plenty of places to hangout. Green lawn is maintained very well. There is also a pond. Sadly my stay was very short, looking forward to my next stay in Olinia Airport Hotel before or after the flight. I Got a key card for the room, and was able to go outside and come to my room anytime I wanted with my key card with me all the time. There is a satellite TV. Small table with electric kettle for making hot drinks and bottled water with glass. Large cupboard for dress storage. You have the option to have a courtyard view from inside the room. Double bed with four pillows is also very comfortable to sleep in. I went to sleep then woke up in the morning. Did not get up in the middle of the night. Two tiny tables left and right side of the table for electronic devices. Three square pin plug with light switch beside the bed. Most importantly it's an air-conditioner that feels best and quiet during the night-time. Western style Bathroom with all the amenities example shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel. Also there is a hair dryer. Inside there is a powerful fan to eliminate unpleasant air. I felt very safe with my belongings when I stayed in this hotel. You have Safety locker also but I did not use it. You could walk to Katunayake Train Station and go toward Fort Central Train Station. It's only Rs.100 Srilanka rupees. There are many restaurants close to the hotel if you prefer to eat outside the hotel enjoying the local atmosphere.

Only thing I didn't like is Mosquitoes that will not let you enjoy the outdoors at night. They could have one mini fridge in every room.

The hotel is located very close to the airport and railway station. It is like a little green oasis of peace and calm in the middle of the city. The hotel is well designed around a courtyard, with plenty of plants giving it a very tranquil feel. The pool was clean and refreshing with sun loungers available and extra towels provided. The room was clean and airy with a terrace outside and a good level of amenities. The shower room was excellent with good water pressure and hot/ cold water. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant attached with a decent range of tasty food. The hotel is very good value. We were afforded a late check out at a very reasonable price The staff were great, lovely people. I noticed several other hotels nearby but if i were to be looking for a comfortable and relaxing hotel in anticipation of a flight or train journey, I would definitely choose Olinia. The breakfast, whilst pleasant enough, was limited to a western cooked breakfast. There is, however, a coffee shop ten minutes walk away if you feel the desire for a good coffee and snack.

Beautiful architecture and layout with very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff were helpful, friendly, and responsive. Location close to airport made it very convenient for transfers. Swimming pool was a plus. Hotel generally felt like an oasis - a calm and restful spot despite the very chaotic main road outside.

Would have liked some hooks or clothing rack to hang up wet towels and swimsuits. Bathroom was small, and would have benefited from a shower curtain/glass to prevent water getting onto the bathroom floor. Breakfast menu was limited to western - would have been nice to have some local options.

Located just 10 mins from the airport. The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The front office man (I forgot the name) was very helpful and took care of all our needs. Best part is they provide free airport transfer according to the number of people and luggage, so that there's no worry of taxi availability for midnight or late night flights. The food at the restaurant is very good and comes in good quantity.

Only problem was that my room's bathroom door wasn't locking properly. I'm sure that they'll fix that and there was nothing at that moment they could have done

It was very good and close to the airport, check in and out was so easy,the room were a good size and clean,would have like to have a fan too in the room as it get a bit too cold with da aircon on trough out, especially when with kids, the staff was very very friendly and helpful, did go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable even tho it was a short transit stay in Katunayake

Tat it attacks ants easily, my son had a half eaten box of smarties which I keep on the table and in the morning it was covered in ants n all over the rest of the table, not impressed

Olinia Airport Hotel was wonderful! It’s like a little oasis a short 5-7 min drive from the airport. Rooms were large, air-conditioned, and clean. The hotel has an inner courtyard that is nice and peaceful. Breakfast at the Brickwall was tasty, the wi-fi was not bad. The staff at Olinia are all really welcoming and kind, even surprised me with a fresh mango juice to cool off from the heat. I highly recommend staying at Olinia if you are transiting through Colombo airport!

There was some confusion about transfer from the airport to the hotel. I thought we had something arranged through the hotel desk, but then we somehow didn’t. I ended up getting an Uber from the airport which was fine but took a little while to get a driver. Recommend booking a taxi in advance and getting clear confirmation for pick-up before arriving

Stayed for one night at the start of my trip and arrived very late. Hotel is really close to the airport so perfect location for that. Reception was open 24h and staff very friendly and welcoming. Had breakfast the next morning and was very pleasant and great staff, also used the pool which was very nice. I then stayed again on my last night in Sri Lanka as I had an early flight the next morning, staff lovely as before and although the room was similar (this time on the right hand side) the bathroom was so much nicer in this room than my first stay, definitely fitted more recently.

Only criticism would be that the room I had on my first stay (on the right side of the hotel) had a very dated bathroom which had a few bugs in but nothing terrible.

The location was excellent being so close to the airport, and the interior was surprisingly peaceful and beautiful for a place so lose to a busy main road. The central courtyard and the rooms surrounding really reminded me of what a Roman villa would have been. Staff were very friendly, especially at the two receptionists, and the restaurant. I would stay here again.

We had the door open for a minute and so many mosquitoes got in. I guess this is not the fault of the hotel, since they had electric vaporises available against mosquitoes.

The hotel is well located for those who are coming to Sri Lanka late or need to go to the airport in the early morning as it is just a few minutes away from the airport by car. Moreover, even if it's not only for the location, the hotel is really beautiful with a nice pool, a clean and comfortable room and a nice restaurant. You are near from Colombo (the main city of the island) so it is a good place to stay if you want to discover the city.
