My stay in Tangalle felt like a true escape from the noise of everyday life. The cabana I stayed in was simply breathtaking—beautifully designed, comfortable, and surrounded by a vast, lush garden filled with exotic plants and the songs of birds. Every morning and evening spent there had a magical quality. The beach, wide and almost empty, was perfect for long walks and quiet moments of relaxation, far from the tourist crowds. The peacefulness, the sound of the ocean, and the closeness to nature allowed me to truly unwind. The owners were another highlight—exceptionally kind and helpful, always ready to offer advice or simply have a friendly chat. Thanks to them, I felt genuinely welcome. This is a place I would love to return to.

It's a small house with a lot of space. There's a place to unpack your stuff. Very large bathroom. The owners take care of their guests and light candles every day from mosquitoes. The house is located in a beautiful garden, away from the street, so there's a lot of privacy. An additional plus is the laundry area in the garden, if someone needs to wash something. It's very close to the beach, where we met little turtles in the evening. The owners are very nice and we could leave our backpacks until the end of the day without any problems. I highly recommend this place.

This host family is just a true gem 💎 ! They took care of us very nicely, always helped in arranging TukTuks, gave good recommendations and tips , and even treated us with King coconuts as welcome drinks and offered laundry, which was a delightful surprise! There is a fridge in the room, too, which is not evident here, so we were happy for that. Our terrace was always cleaned and refreshed with new flowers when we returned.

Some tiny frogs as pets, but it is quite normal everywhere here :) Other than that it is just great!

We liked everything! The host was very kind (they offer us a coconut), the room was big and very clean, the bed is super comfortable, the fridge is perfect to keep your water bottle cold, the bathroom was perfect (we had the room with shower and hot water) and the garden is beautiful. It’s 3 minutes walk from the beach ! It’s a very good price for value !

Surrounded by lush greenery, this property offers a very private and spacious environment, perfect for relaxation and comfort. The host family goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, providing exceptional hospitality.

It would be great to have more comfortable seating on the terrace to fully enjoy the beautiful garden.

Lovely huge apartment for a beach stay-over. We had booked to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 3 because we loved it so much! The hosts are wonderful, and always there to help. You walk 10 steps to the beach, and there are some lovely Restaurants and cafes in walking distance too.

There were a family of frogs living in the bathroom but you are in Sri Lanka!

Very very nice Cabana with a lovely garden, very close to the beach and nice restaurants nearby. The owner was very friendly, helped us with our laundry and organized a scooter for us. We would always come back to this place.

The host family were amazing! The cabana was so clean and spacious - such good value for money. The host even offered us some prawns for dinner and they did our laundry for free. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

There are a lot of peacocks which is noisy and night but obviously this can’t be controlled by the hosts and we enjoyed feeling at one with nature. Be aware that this area of Tangalle gets very dark at night and is very hard to get a tuk tuk. Maybe reconsider if you are a solo female traveller

The room was beautiful. Very spacious, clean but with character. Lovely hosts offering a welcome drink and who were happy to help e.g. with bike hire and even did my washing for me.

No AC, but fan. Only two rooms so if you are asolo traveller looking for company not the best, but for a quiet escape its dreamy. Breakfast was quite expensive for Sri Lanka, so went to lovely beach spot round the corner for same price.

Spacious, super clean and airy room, it got cool enough to sleep during the night, even without fan. The host was very attentive and caring, provided us with rechargable lights and torches during power cuts, offered to do our laundry free of charge. We felt very comfortable staying here and would highly recommend it!
