The breakfast was fantastic! It had everything you expect from a good, Swedish hotel breakfast and more. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant the night before and the food was excellent. The quality of the products and the flavors of each dish was absolute perfection! We'll be back!

We chose a family room and the room itself was very nice and clean. However, we did not like that it didn't have a view, instead overlooking a cement wall.. Also, it did have a bit of a smell to it the next morning (next time we'll choose a different room).

The location was superb, with an overview of the town and river/canal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant and food excellent.

The hotel rooms are in a separate block. My room looked out on the drive/access road. There was a large window and door letting out onto a small patio with seats and table. Unfortunately there was no net curtaining to impair any view into the room whilst the heavier curtains were open, limiting any privacy whilst in occupation.

Old fashioned, chic central dining/reception building with modern residential block, each room like a small flat with outdoor seating. Commanding view yet town centre easy to reach. The restaurant food was off the scale gorgeous. Staff were excellent. Parking was fee and secure

There was nothing I didn’t like

I loved having a walk out patio to my room. Room had everything needed. I appreciated the room having a fan. Very important without AC. View was nice. Secluded location along the canal (with a long walking path), short walk to town, which was really super. I liked that the hotel had beverages available.

I wish I could have safely kept the patio door or window open for a breeze while sleeping. I wish there was a later check out option...12pm.

The situation above the town was perfect. Easy walk down steps and across river to centre. Staff excellent. Room very spacious and the balcony overlooking river was perfect. Food was well presented and delicious. Umbrellas available for inclement weather

Nothing to complain about

Lovely hotel. The rooms are in the building right next door and the room was so lovely with a great view over the river, really liked it. Easy 5 minute walk into town over 3 small bridges over the river which was very pretty. A number of restaurants by the river to choose from. The bed was very comfortable, great bathroom and overall decoration. Easy to park the car right outside, Highly recommended.

Booking. Com stated you had to book in by 18.00 but I arrived after and there was no fuss. Reception is by the restaurant.

Friendly staff. E.g. they opened the breakfast for us hour before their weekend schedule because we had to leave early to catch ferry from Stockholm. Really helpful and nice to communicate with.

No dislikes at all. Super place to stay

The property is unique and has lovely view of city. Our meal at restaurant was very delicious. Staff exceedingly helpful arranging for us to do laundry using hotel facilities.

Rooms are spartan and need more electrical outlets.

The view is absolutely incredible, having a room with a balcony overlooking the town and the river was amazing. The room is very well designed, the staff were so helpful and lovely, and we felt very welcome.

Be aware that you’ll probably want to drive or get a taxi to the hotel, as if you’re walking from Trollhättan station, Google Maps will take you up the cliff face rather than around, which means carrying your luggage up some uneven steps with a wobbly guide rail. Air con in the room, and some cold water would have been lovely, but we loved our stay regardless!
