Incredible and unique location. This should be on everyone's bucketlist for a once in a lifetime visit. The air, the view and the silence are just incredible.

This hotel provides the rare experience of traveling back in time, with exquisite original furnishings and lavish interiors from a bygone time. Everyone familiar with Mann’s the magic mountain, will immediately recognize the inspirational material, and soon find him/herself on the «horizontal» position, enjoying the wonderful view, and possibly enjoying a Maria Mancini, walking in the footsteps of Hans Castorp. My stay was magical, and i look forward to coming back

As the hotel is old, the condition of the hotel in some places may not be up to modern standards. However, this is part of the historic charm, and is in no way any meaningful disturbance

The hotel has a very special atmosphere, that can not be explained by words I think. The staff is top, very charismatic and professional. I loved the view from the hotel.

The sauna in the spa could be more spacious. It was very crowded on saturday so that it was not enjoyable, there was no space to cool down and rest after the heat in the sauna. Also it was very cold in the rooms, luckily we got an extra heater for our room.

Respect for history and tradition. Wonderful views of the mountains and an excellent restaurant.

We really liked the atmosphere of the hotel. Location is perfect. We really enjoyed walking around the hotel and the botaniums were fantastic. Restaurant was fine.

We enjoyed this classic Swiss hotel, but we did not like the unpleasant smell of the old room.

A most comprehensive breakfast with tasty offerings

Again perfect stay at this great historic hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. hotel is not in Davos, which ensures fresh air, quietness and great views. To get there, you need to take the funicular, cable railway (fee included in the overnight cost). Separate parking area paid additionally within walking distance from the cable railway. Everything is well maintained and clean, you can see the age and past glory which gives the hotel very unique character and atmosphere.

Good enough breakfast buffet. Sorry that Panorama restaurant was not opened.

Everything is super expensive. Last days of the year hotel was very crowded and noisy.

It’s a unique place not only because of Magic Mountain by T.Mann (but it would be a lie to say it’s not an important part of its charm). For staying here you don’t have to be a fan of Mann’s novel, but I think it helps to feel the atmosphere of the place and appreciate the style. It’s like being in the novel, living in a museum (but in a very positive way - when renovating, please keep the old structure and character of the place) surrounded by astonishing nature. We parked and were taken by a cable car immediately upon arrival. Nice and big room with a working space, with a comfortable bed are well enough equipped. WiFi is good. Very good breakfast with fresh vegetables and fruits. Two elevators. Friendly service. Fantastic terrace with the most amazing view over Davos and mountains, as well as room verandas (where I could spend a half of a day just reading and relaxing). Hotel offers a sauna, bar and a restaurant. Very close to the main building there are another two restaurants.

We liked everything! Just to note in the rooms there are no tea/coffee making facilities.
