Hotel smack in the middle of the old town with a great view over the lake. We came for the light festival, so it was great to be in the center and in walking distance to everything. The room was quiet and we managed to get one of the free parking spots in front of the door. Very friendly welcome, nice touch to have a free drink and a tea/coffee station available for guests. Everything was clean and the breakfast was good as well.

We stayed in the Junior Suite and I would not really call this a Suite... rather a superior room. Also the pictures on booking are a bit misleading because there seems to be a mix of different rooms of varying sizes. We had a normally sized room plus a space with a seating area, plus a nice terrace. We were travelling with a small baby so we had hoped to maybe put our sun in a seperate space in the room but the baby bed did not fit through the door so in the end it was a bit more crammed than we had hoped. For 2 people the room is certainly very spaceous though.

The location was great. The room was spotless. The reception desk staff were professional and courteous.

The waiter in the restaurant was rude and not very helpful. One member of our party has food allergy issues and the waiter could not be bothered to explain the ingredients for the various dishes.

Great location - easy access on foot from train station to the wonderful village of Murten. Spotlessly clean, well appointed comfortable room. Lovely restaurant and terrace bar. Great breakfast. Friendly staff.

Location of the hotel in the middle of historic Murten, as well as the Deluxe room with comfortable bed, and nicely sized room that included a little niche with a table. Very cozy feel, and exposed stone walls, which added to the room's unique character and charm. The staff at the hotel were exceptional, always friendly and eager to help with anything I needed.

While the breakfast buffet didn't look particularly appetizing at first glance, I was pleasantly surprised by the good selection of items on offer.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was attentive and helpful. Dinner was very good. Location was perfect as we were driving and wanted to be in the old town, but have parking.

Hard to get to walking up a hill. But perfectly located if you wanted to see the ramparts

Breakfast was superb. The variety and quality was excellent and the views from the breakfast area were spectacular. Best breakfast of our holiday (across multiple accommodations).

Holidays were over too fast, I wish I could have stayed another night :)

Wonderful location, charming rooms, welcoming staff, and view of the lake. We had a wonderful stay in the romantic gateway.

In the summer the restaurant is using outside space and the sound comes up easily to the rooms. So don't expect to get to sleep too early.
