The breakfast was wonderful! We enjoyed fresh bread and cheese, boiled eggs including small black and white speckled eggs, delicious Birchermuesli, yogurt, and coffee. Everything was delicious!

The room was a bit spartan (two twin beds along one wall and not much room for anything else), but we had seen pictures ahead of time, so we were not surprised. Everything was clean, however, and the history of the place and the nearby town was charming.

The castle and the location was definitely the best of the stay: the breakfast had fresh fruits, a variety of cheeses, fresh eggs, the BEST croissants, nice coffee and an option for yogurt. The castle had beautiful gardens to sit and read in, and the chapel was free and open to visit. If you take it upon yourself to enjoy the gardens and the Beautiful Location you will definitely have a nice stay. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly, thank you very much! There is sustainable soap in the showers, and the water pressure is low, also contributing to sustainability (not great if you have long hair though).

There is not a lot of positive things I can say about the room. Unfortunately I didn´t have the the front part looking out over the castle, as I had expected (this happens if you are on the 4rth floor, check with the hotel, see images attached of the balcony area which I would have loved to stay in), but it is probably due to the type of room you book. The room itself need a renovation, and perhaps a simple peace of art to cheer it all up. If you are like me and you only have to sleep in the room, it is a great stay, however, if you also want to enjoy and relax in the room, I would book an upgrade or go somewhere else. The rooms are very noisy, so you need to watch out if you are sensitive to noise.

Especially breakfast, room was also ok but I didn't find any channel in English or French in the TV. I was looking at the Olympics and it was ok in German this time.

Cleaning was not completely optimal, probably due to the country situation of the hotel.

Restaurant: excellent dinner & good breakfast

The room could have been better: the double bed & general space was ok but the shower room was really small.

It was beautiful and the staff were super helpful and friendly.

I would of liked there to be coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

Breakfast was ok. Was not feeling well, only stayed 1 night so did not take full advantage on what the Schloss and surroundings had to offer.

Authentic character and charm. The entire staff could not have been nicer— Patrick was amazing! It was a rare chance to stay in a castle with amazing grounds, just a mile away from historic Murten - Morat. We loved every minute of our stay!
