Had a top floor room which had a great view with a very nice terrace. The room was comfortable and sizeable. Breakfast was okay. Located close to the entrance of main street.

They send an email prior to your arrival which they do state that if you pay on site it is cash - our fault for not reading thoroughly but just FYI - even if you book through booking.com (they do precharge your card and take it off prior to your arrival) but just be aware that if you decide to pay on site, it is cash only (there is an ATM located nearby in the 7-11).

The hotel was in the heart of jiufen old street which gave you access to the beautiful street at all times, especially before the buses drop off their large, mindless tour groups to quickly ruin the atmosphere. The room was spacious and the bed was large and comfortable. The view of the mountain and sea was beautiful. The hotel was quiet considering its location— though some noise from guests could be heard when entering snd existing their rooms. The bathroom was nice with the heater, the shower was also pleasant. The room was clean. Over all i enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. Ps.I ate a bowl of their beef noodles in the restaurant down stairs, which i would highly recommend.

The only thing that i didnt like was that the bathroom heater had a 1 hour timer, so you would constantly need to turn it back on.

Perfect location and the cafe has a window seat that’s amazing for people watching. There’s delicious illy coffee if you’re tired of tea. Our room was Japanese inspired with beds on the floor that were quite comfortable and it was very spacious. The bathroom is tiny but clean. We found the staff very helpful and accommodating.

The only problem was the start of some mold in the corner of our room under the wallpaper. My advice, check your room first. No one else mentioned it in reviews so I’m guessing it’s a new problem that’s bloomed with the upcoming wet humid weather.

This B&B is the very best location for staying overnight at Jiufen. The bus stop and 7/11 is right down the street so is extremely convenient if you are bringing luggage or if you need a later meal/ snack (most other vendors and stalls in Jiufen will close by 8/9 pm). Breakfast is simple and delicious; salad, fried egg, ham, toast, rice with braised pork, red bean soup, coffee and tea.

The rooms are not very spacious, but for me it was no issue since we did not spend much time in the room anyways! Be aware that there is no elevator, and all rooms are on the second floor or higher!

Love the location, right in the middle of the busy street. Our rooms are comfy with double bed and a single bed in 2 separate areas with 2 toilets. I'm truly amazed with the space, not sure why people have so much complaints and expected so much from them. Breakfast was simple and nice and it's q good thing they provide since many shops are still closed in the morning. It's very near the entrance of Jiuufen. The rooms are clean and well lit, beds are comfy too

The staircase, we already knew in advance they are bound to be some stairs so we had a light luggage, therefore it was not a problem and we are lucky to sleep on first level.

This property is about location. It is just near the entrance to Jiufen Old Street, so you'll be at the center of the action. Of course, the "Tea House" is very accessible from this property. The room is of the right size, the bed and pillows are comfortable. The toilet is one of those Japanese kind, the high-tech one. The reception floor also has a restaurant/coffee shop, so it's very easy to access food :)

Although, we are informed prior to our arrival, it is still quite annoying to bring the luggage upstairs without lift; but it is a very minor issue. Also, in our room, there is no separate areas for T&B, thus, everything becomes wet when you shower. Lastly, be prepared to pay in cash when you check-in, although your card will be blocked the amount of your room when you book. (The blocked amount will be cancelled when you pay in cash during check-in.)

It ended up being a typhoon while we were there but this was a comfortable place to pass the time. There's a cute cafe downstairs that plays oldies music and has a warm feel to it. I loved the retro ambiance. The room was very comfortable and air conditioned. 100% cotton sheets, comfy pillow and mattress. I slept well here. Delicious and hearty breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you!

There were tiny little ants in the room. They didn't seem to bite and mostly left me alone though!

Such a good ambience place. You will feel cozy when you have your meal at their restaurant which was right next to their front desk. Food, drink and dessert are all not disappointing. Their breakfast set was light and refreshing, and braised pork rice was really good. The room we booked was satisfying, and we enjoyed the splendid night and morning view of the hillside of jiu fen. Everyone is friendly, and we will definitely visit here once again.

The location of the hotel is right smack in the middle of the market, which is a bit hectic to get in and out of because of the tourists and narrow streets. If I stayed in Jiufen again, I would stay a few blocks away and less crowded and less expensive area. The man checking us in to the hotel was a little bit condescending.
