Location was great to the main and really only bus stop in the area. Easy to find if you don't follow google maps. Even though I didn't request a breakfast, we got a nice free breakfast which was a yummy sandwich. The family that run the place were very kind and friendly.

The room was a small and was a little difficult to move around and put baggage anywhere. But that was to be expected since everything in this area is small and cramped. For me, the biggest problem was that there was no fridge. My wife and I drink a lot (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) but no where to store drinks. Had to make several runs to the nearby 7-11 instead.

Right at Jiu Fen Old Street. Restaurants all around. Super nice, friendly and helpful host. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The view of Jiu Fen from the breakfast area was very beautiful. We got a sandwish and a cup of coffee or tea for breakfast. It's included in the room rate. The stairs were very very steep and narrow without elevator but that's fine for us because the host let us know in advance and we brought only small suitcases. I love this place. I love Jiu Fen. I've been here 3 times and I will come again.

The water took an hour to get warm. I had to let the water flow and waited until it's warm. It's a waste of water I didn't like it. The ventilator was a bit too loud.

This is always my B&B of choice every time I spend the night in Jiufen. The location is great! Just a few steps away from the entrance of the Old Street, and also quite near the bus station. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and can communicate clearly. There are free breakfast sandwiches and coffee/milktea. It always feels like home. The room with a view offers a spectacular view of the Keelung Mountain!

There is no lift/ elevator, but it is a home, so it is understandable. Just do not bring any large luggage.

I booked last minute before my trip yet Kao Mama was one of the best I could’ve ever asked for! The owner family was incredibly kind and welcoming. Their daughter can speak fluent English, so it helped a lot. She even suggested a quick way to go around. Location was top-tier. It’s right next to 7-11, bus stop, and old street entry. I got a room on 4th floor. It had a clear view of the town and sea. Room was nice and cozy. Bathroom was dry and clean. Everything about this place was perfect!

There was no elevator and Jiufen has lot of stairs, so it would be ideal to travel light here

Small B&B hosted by Mrs. Kao. Conveniently located nearby the major bus stop, the town's 7/11 and the entrance of Jiufen's old street. Mrs. Kao was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local spots. My Taiwanese mother still speaks very highly about our stay here. INFO for guests: The breakfast voucher is for a Taiwan sandwich shop 2 houses down from the B&B.

We tried checking in / dropping our bags off earlier but the family was unavailable. That's not anyone's fault... was just hoping there could be a drop off box or something.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and had great local recommendations. It felt like being a guest in someone’s home. They even made breakfast and milk tea for us in the morning, even though we had not booked with breakfast. There was a nice view and sitting area on the top floor.

Bed very hard, but was totally manageable for a night.

The staff was very friendly and speaks perfect English. There was breakfast also responding to my no sugar request. There is sea and mountain view from the room. The room is quiet during night although besides a road. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom small but most convenient so far. You can hang clothes to dry them. There was a air conditioner and dehumidifier. You can enjoy hot tea for free. The location is ideal, only a few steps to bus stop, Jiufen old street, Keelung mountain trail and 7-11. The owners seem to raise a baby so there is also a place to put yours and chat with the host.

There was no chair and desk in the room, but you can use the terrace instead. The room door was not lockable from outside. There is no elevator in case you have big luggage.

Excellent location for exploring Jiufen! The property is located a stone throw away from the popular old street! The owner who greeted me was extremely welcoming! She gave me recommendations, a map and even drew out the bus schedule for me - so helpful! The view from the room is excellent - You can see the street below and the ocean in front of you! Keep in mind that you will have to take steep stairs to reach your rooms. The property itself is excellent, I would highly recommend this place!

Kind, helpful staff. The location is great, just 1-minute walk from the entrance of Jiufen Old Street. The room was very clean, and the amenities were sufficient. The free breakfast was a welcome surprise, as it was not indicated during booking. There is a top deck where you can eat/ drink/ do sightseeing. Very homey.

There is no lift/ elevator, so a big luggage will be difficult to carry to the room.
