The view was great and this place is away from the busy streets, great for families who want to enjoy nature and the scenic view of Jiufen. Family room was huge and more than enough space for family of 5. Owner is a lovely lady and her family and friendly dogs around. We love the hospitality and friendliness and the kids felt at home and enjoyed the stay and the area within the space more than the crowded Jiufen streets.

Do take note if bringing many luggage and having kids or elderly as Jiufen is a hilly region and definitely stairs to get to any accommodation. No worries about luggage as the owner helps to bring them from the bus stop on the main street and back up if help is needed. Just inform and request from them!

The place was really well located - take the stairs and within 5mins you will be at the start of the Jiufen old street area beginning from the bottom of the stairs; the old street stretches along the stairs. The room is huge and it has a great view at the balcony area. Place was very homely and clean, owner was very helpful!

Location is spot on. Just some flights up and you are in Jiufen Old Street. The room we had look over the sea. I chose it specifically for the bath tub and large window. Comfortable and very spacious. They even have a Toto toilet with bidet options. I took one bath there to relax and it was so nice to look out at the view. The owner even let us check in early since our room was ready. The rooms are sound proofed well. A/C very strong for the tropical weather.

Honestly nothing. There are a lot of stairs to get there. We had carry on luggage so not a big deal for us. But heed the warnings.

We booked the room with the view from the bathroom and lounge. Yupp, great views! The quirky architecture is fun, although the bathroom floor with small boulders embedded in it required care to avoid stubbed toes or a slip. Be sure to turn on the light at night!

Better sign posting for directions down the long stairs/path to the venue. They were laying concrete outside our room to extend the hotel. Noisy, even on Sunday. And we had to climb over concrete reinforcing reo metal bars to get to our room. While it has a bath, it's fairly small - doesn't inspire a long relax. And the plug leaked (fortunately I carry a spare). It's almost a ladder to reach the loft bedroom. Be fit!

The view was amazing (even from the toilet). Very spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with amazing views towards the sea too. Their dogs are really cute as well

They are really strict on the check-in time so if you are early, do expect a flustered dismissive service. If you are travelling with your older folks, do note that the series of stairs do have railings staggered throughout except some locations. Would recommend that if you have a big luggage to deposit at ruifang station. Do approach the visitors' centre booth for the location on where to deposit and do not deposit them in the station lockers.

Excellent view of the ocean and mountains, and it was also very quiet where we were. The room was spacious, the bed comfy, and the aircon/heater was easily adjustable. We were early for check in but could leave our suitcases at the main area. Right next to taiyang car park which is an easy enough drop off / pick up point for transport so we were spared from some stairs.

The breakfast is ok, it was nice as an option but might be worth climbing up stairs to the old street for other options. The layout of the space might be slightly awkward for non-couples (we had a space that was balcony - toilet - bedroom so go figure)

A very unassuming place indeed. When we arrived quite late in the night (after 8.00pm) we were met by a middle age gentleman who processed our payments in a small kind of reception/dining room and we had to walk down a flight of uneven stone stairs to our accommodation. We were a bit worried about the condition of the rooms but lo and behold the rooms were magnificent. The room that my husband was spacious with a big bathroom and the room that my son and his family had was huge with a big bathroom, a small lounge and a dining area. The rooms were clean and well presented. Another surprise we had was when we woke up in the morning and the view were stunning when we drew the curtains. Breakfast was superb as well for just NT150 per person. The view out of the dining area was superb as well.

The property was very dark at night and it would be difficult for us to locate it if we had not hired a driver. It was also hard to maneuver a vehicle as the road was narrow and winding. I think a bit of light around the property at night would be helpful.

We had a spacious room with a terrace overlooking the bay (even more beautiful than on the photos), the view is similarly gorgeous from the reception/breakfast area. It’s located below the crazyness of Jiufen old street which is mostly overcrowded. Our host even drove our heavy suitcases with her motorcycle to the bus station for us so we didn’t have to climb the stairs, she gave us tips where to eat and where not to 😂 and provided painkillers when I suffered from headaches. She’s one of a kind!

With the high humidity and frequent rain, the room can smell a bit humid and at times we cursed the steep climb up the stairs to old street. Great exercise for legs and butt though 😊

Great that there was free parking very close to the hotel. Instructions to parking were sent a few days before. Basically, look for City Parking on Google Maps (the hotel gives another name). Turn right after barrier, go down ramp until you see parking on your right (there is a black sign board at the entrance). Hotel will give you a QR code on a piece of paper that you can scan on your exit - you can enter and leave as many times as you like). Mountain view room was nice and the room was large. View was great, although weather was not the best. You can walk to the Old Street via lots of steps in around 10 mins. Wifi was good and shower pressure also. Breakfast was not included in our room rate, but was offered for a good price (we didn't eat there, but it looked nice).

We found lots of tiny ants in the room.

Views were superb. The rooms were very spacious. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Was very close to the town of Jiufen (i.e. within walking distant for those who are able to walk up and down stairs) which made it really easy to go to the town for food and exploring a few times a day. Breakfast was extra but for the price (great value) and convenience of being able to get breakfast in the morning without having to venture out far is really great.

Would be great to have a more modern bathroom.
