Super clean, felt so modern! Had an amazing courtyard where you could sit and read while enjoying their free hot water and tea/milk tea. Close to some great restaurants, walking distance to some parks!

Nothing against them, but travel tip for the city: be aware that the bus top nearby for the City Circular bus or whatever that takes you to the train station was tricky; try to ask the staff what the bus looks like, because it might be a super small mini-bus that's poorly labeled (with no number on the outside), or it might not be reliable with times. I almost missed my train and had to go to another bus route in the rain when the nearby bus never showed up (or maybe wasn't marked well and drove past me???). But anyway, amazing hotel, definitely stay there!

Stayed here the night before and after going to Green Island, in the middle of a cycling tour around Taiwan. Next to the hostel having a very nice atmosphere, decorated with a great number of plants, the rooms being quite spaceous and private for the price and everything being very clean, the very friendly staff also made sure that my bike was safe during my stay at Green Island. Bonus tip: you get $100 coupons to spend in Taitung, which I spent at Princeken for very good coffee and pie.

The only thing the hostel lacked, was a place to dry clothing (other than a dryer), to supplement the washing machines present.

Unlike the conventional youth hostel, this hostel provides individual rooms with ensuite toilets/showers. The common areas are also tastefully designed, big and very comfortable. The room also isn’t cramped. It provides a haven for solo individuals like me who don’t really want to spend a bomb on hotels yet are already tired of rowdy youths and want privacy of a room. The ensuite toilet is also a big plus point! Hopefully there would be more such hostels of similar concept

Wish they could provide bicycle rental service. Also, the staff could be more helpful by giving clearer instructions when they give directions instead of just giving me the names of the places

The facilities served travellers well; no issues with getting laundry done. Toilets are large with ample space to do washing. Most distinct about the hotel is when the misting is taking place and the whole courtyard and the corridor cools down. The whole ambience is very calming and comforting.

No TV in room but we can understand the whole concept is to encourage interactions of guests in the open spaces of first floor.

I really like the atmosphere in the room is very comfortable, clean, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious besides the view outside is very beautiful and cool ... And the staff are very friendly and smiley 🤗 Thank you nordenruder 🙏, I am very satisfied ♥️

There is nothing we don't like, maybe we just feel a little inefficient because we have to buy food from outside for breakfast, hehheeh..but it's okay. I really appreciate the policies or regulations that Nordenruder has set 🤗

… Except this %@$&@ of bed lamp switch which is 1,80m above the bed !!! Forced to stand ON the bed to reach this damned on-off button ! Even if it is a detail, why a so stupid installation ?? 🥴🫣😆😻

Everything! Beautiful facility, especially the atrium, library, kitchen, and places to sit outside the room. Near the beach, lots of places to eat, with a unique coupon arrangement with the hostel, and easy to get to from train or bus stations. Walkable town, fun markets. The room was wonderful, too. And the staff could not be nicer. My favorite hostel, ever!

I couldn’t stay longer.

Property was exactly like advertised, and spacious enough for a solo traveller. There were common kitchen at level 1 for all to use, interesting concept.

Hot water was taking forever and it was freezing cold to shower. Lots of mosquitoes during the rainy season because of the amount of plants

Nice, modern and well designed rooms. Free water, tea, coffee, cookies. Some English is spoken. Comfortable beds.

You are given vouchers for local shops and restaurants rather than breakfast in the hostel. It's a good idea, but those places don't give back change! If you order or buy something which costs TWD30, you have to give a voucher of TWD50, so it should be normal to get TWD20 cash back, but they don't. Please amend the system.

The location and proximity to wherever I wanted to go. Love the philosophy behind this brand. Staying here is affordable and I am also felt less guilt ridden of the contributions I made to the effect of climate change.

Not so much the property itself but military jets flying overhead, which can be jarring.
