Ally welcomed us warmly from the start and was just wonderful. He ensured we had a room on the lower floor for our older mother, and then great rooms with a view for the rest of us The porters and service staff are all brilliant, always willing to help and be flexible. The food may have been the highlight. All three meals of the day are excellent and were not beaten by rest of Tanzania, Zanzibar or Seychelles. They have great on site amenities for the whole family. A water park, a pool, a spa, a lakeside chill place, a party place, screens for the football, and so much more. It is a great place to relax, eat good food and look out over lake Victoria. The jetty was under repair when we were there but they do normally have boat trips also.

This place is so wonderful that you just don‘t want to leave and want to enjoy every inch of it. It is huge but every single detail is so well taken care of, that one doesn‘t stop being amazed how they maintain it so well. It lies right on Lake Victoria with its gorgeous views , so you enjoy cool breeze most of the time and have friendly staff members that do their job flawlessly. You have a huge infinity pool that looks over the lake and it is really cold so be prepared to get a bit chilly))) No words about the rooms, the villas are just perfect, it cannot get more comfortable than that, with a huge bathroom with hygene articles that you didn‘t even think you might need, super clean shower with good water pressure and plus a bathtub. In the room itself you will find your enormous bed and a tasteful couch/armchair that invite you to chill the whole time, a big wardrobe where you can unpack 3-4 suitcases and a beautiful dressing table of a retro style which is definitely a gift for women especially. As if this all is not enough, you have also a balcony - again with comfy chairs where you can enjoy the singing of various kinds of birds, listening the water sounds from the small waterfall and enjoy the beauty of mysterious Victoria. We would really really love to go back to this Garden of Eden one day. By the way, ‚malaika‘ means ‚ angels‘; I guess it is really angels that take you there because you get a heavenly rest.

Felt like luxury done right. They have made everything well. Everything was superb. They welcomed us like royalty and cared for us like family. It's a 5 star establishment at 4 star prices. Great value, great service, probably the best in Mwanza.

The only complaints were with the fluctuations in shower water pressure and lake flies in January.

I want to appreciate the restaurant staff, for their attention to detail. I requested a hot lemon and ginger drink on one of the days, and the next day, one of the staff brought me the same drink at breakfast without me asking for it. This made my day!

The resort is directly at Victoria Lake, so has beautiful views and ambience. Extremely friendly and attentive staff, any requests were immediately attended even after hours. Great swimming pool.

The little" step" leading to the women's bathroom is not visible. I almost fell. It is a huge accident waiting to happen! ! Also, I noticed someone smoking in the lounge. It made it very difficult for me and my friend to remain in the same area or even in the restaurant. This is extremely unhealthy, not to mention how inconsiderate that guest was! Besides that, your place is pretty nice.

Lovely hotel, so close to the airport and they offer free shuttle service. We stayed twice over a short period and we're given a room upgrade both times. Staff were all lovely. Pool area was well maintained, as well as hotel restaurant there is a club next door which serves good food. Omelettes / eggs at breakfast were great.Thank you!

The coffee situation at breakfast, it wasn't clear whether you should get it yourself, one morning someone brought it to the table but then the next days they didn't. The coffee was sat in the pot and didn't taste that great. Maybe offer fresh coffee when you sit at the table?

Room was large comfortable size with big screen flat TV. Had additional seating beyond chair at desk and comfortable queen double bed. Very clean. I will be going back in a few weeks and will recommend to anyone that I know to stay at Malaika Beach Resort!

Nothing to be honest! Being on lake front, The place is just superb!

I liked the water park for kids and the buffet breakfast. We stayed for one week over the Christmas/New Year holidays with our kids and had a really relaxing time.

I didn’t like the Spa and the fact that parents aren’t allowed to supervise their own children in the kiddy pools.

incredible setting, beautiful hotel dinner on beach option is gorgeous great nightclub attached (Sundays are best) lots of very good staff - shout out to Lucas in reception!! evening bug spray/daily treats in room is a nice touch

pool bar wasn’t in use, staff on reception could have been a bit more friendly/accommodating especially when we went with a broken room key, food waiting times too long
