We had the most wonderful stay at Rivertrees Country Inn – it truly felt like a hidden gem nestled in nature. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with beautiful grounds that offered just the right mix of adventure and tranquility. As a family travelling with a toddler, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. Harrison absolutely loved exploring the gardens, spotting monkeys in the trees, and splashing around near the little stream. The staff were so warm and thoughtful – always ready with a smile and so kind to our little one. Our room was cosy, clean, and beautifully decorated – with plenty of space for Harrison to play and for us to relax. The food was delicious, and the outdoor dining under the stars made every meal feel special. We left feeling recharged and grateful – Rivertrees is more than just a place to stay; it’s a place to breathe, slow down, and connect. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for families looking for a peaceful base in Arusha.

The hotel was amazing and the food was superb. I loved the ambiance and the decoration. I had a villa to myself and my sister. The villa was decorated using the local traditional items and was very beautiful. When i arrived, i was a little sad that I had to leave the next day. I wished that I had one more day to stay there. There were a lot of food and fruit options and is also child friendly. In the morning, the sound of the bird made me feel that i was in the middle of nature and it was the beautiful feeling.

I liked everything about this place. I just wish I had spent one more day there as i felt like i could not enjoy what it had to offer, to the fullest because of the early check out the next day.

The inn is tucked away in a peaceful spot but still conveniently close to Arusha and Kilimanjaro Airport. We utilised the Airport Shuttle service which made the transfer seamless. It’s was the ideal place to rest before heading out on safari. The gardens are amazing with their towering trees and flowing river, we managed to see monkeys just a short walk from our room. What really made a difference was the genuine hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, I felt so warmly welcomed. The team goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home, and they were always there to help with any requests. Our rooms were cozy and decorated with this colonial rustic charm but still has all the modern conveniences you need. We stayed in the Farm House made of up 4 self contained rooms, and waking up to the sounds of birds and the sight of lush greenery outside my window was incredibly peaceful. The food is freshly prepared and includes local dishes bursting with flavor. River Trees Country Inn was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge before our Tanzanian adventures, this place offers a beautiful, authentic experience that we'll always remember.

We had an excellent stay at Rivertrees and would love to return one day! Super friendly staff, amazingly beautiful garden, spacious cottage, and splendid service. The breakfast was great and the restaurant and the swimming pool were also very good. You may be lucky and see two species of primates peacefully foraging on top of the magnificent trees. Thank you for creating such a great time during the last days of our holiday!

The internet had some issues from time to time (especially in the cottage) but works generally well. The location is about 20km away from Arusha, so going to town might be slightly difficult and walking outside the premises is not recommended (but the garden is huge and even has a beautiful walking path along the river).

The room was quiet and comfortable. I loved that there was a mosquito net even though the bugs weren’t very bad during my visit. I loved walking around the grounds looking for birds and monkeys. Get a neck/shoulder/back massage from Evelyn at the spa. She is amazing! The front desk staff was also very kind and allowed my travel companion and I to keep a room for a few hours after check-out since they weren’t busy and our flights weren’t until later. The food was also delicious (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

I have visited over 100 different countries, therefore I have stayed at hundreds of different hotels, but I am going to tell you that this is one of a kind! Dont hesitate with booking it, trust me. The property is nested in a massive jungle type of a garden with a beautiful river and accomodation is in private cottages spreaded throughout the property, so you have a total privacy. Its quiet, serene.

All very nice: - To be improved at the restaurant the offer of typical dishes, and have more dishes (Main dish) - It would be nice if the pool stayed less in the shade

The grounds, landscaping and staying at River House with the river right outside the back porch was a pleasant experience.

The food was not good and for a place that was in such a nice setting not getting fresh and well cooked food was a big let down for my family and myslef.

Beautiful location, lovely staff and really good food. Could've stayed for many more nights.

We thought it was closer to Arusha but was maybe 40 minutes away ( our fault completely but it's not in Arusha if thats where you think you want to be)

My wife and I stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon. Rivertrees Country inn was the nicest place we have ever stayed in. The swimming pool is real eye catcher, super clean gardens and great facilities. The staff were all so nice and our only regret was we couldn't stay longer.

Few option for swahili foods, Heard it is once in the month for kuku choma day . I think it is better to provide regularly.
