Great hotel right on a beautiful beach with a lovely pool and nice restaurant. The beach was extremely clean and you can walk 3km in either direction, so quiet! Lovely little restaurants within walking distance. Restaurant and bar at the hotel were excellent. I was apprehensive about this hotel, having read some negative reviews about the lack of sunloungers (there are plenty so don't worry!) and about the breakfast (great breakfast with a good variety of local and Western options). Really good value for money and a lovely relaxing place to stay. Thank you!

Communication with the central booking team was painful. They took days to reply and were next to useless. All of the staff were lovely, but the staff on reception (although very polite) weren't helpful. We tried to ask for their assistance in recommending a dive centre (no ideas) and trying to book a taxi transfer was a right pain. Don't let it put you off, but a note to the hotel that they need to up their game on reception staff.

This plce was amazing. It exceeded my expectations. Everything was clean, friendly, beautiful. I think it deserves more than three stars to be honest. Staff super friendly, lots of dogs and cats, nice restaurant, good sunbeds among plntrees.

Probably the breakfast, it could have been a little bit more interesting, maybe add some fresh (real) juice. The toilet was a bit slow to flush, but otherwise all was good.

If you’re looking for a beach holiday you won’t get better. Rooms were very spacious and air con worked well. Amazing beach, beach bar and restaurant located on the sand, which is something else when having your evening meal. Although it wasn’t the beach felt private, never more than a couple of people strolling down it at any one time. There are also other bars and restaurants that you can walk to down the beach. Staff were very friendly and food was exceptional. Regular tuk tuk service into town was really helpful. Although the hotel was fully booked it never felt at all busy. Mainly German guest here when we stayed feels like British are really missing out.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like about this hotel!

We loved our stay at Andamania. The grounds are just beautiful, with so many lovely flowers and palm trees. Our room was comfortable and very large, with the bathroom and suitcase storage & wardrobe area separated from the main part. We enjoyed the view of the gardens from our patio. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of selection, including fresh fruit, yogurt, made to order eggs and bacon. The beach restaurant for lunch and dinners had a good array of Thai choices as well as some Western offerings like pastas and salads. The beach was nice for swimming and for walking, and we also enjoyed the lovely pool every afternoon.

The one thing we didn't like was the noisy air conditioner. During the night we often had to turn it off in order to sleep.

The garden bungalows were lovely with comfy beds and close to the pool and beach. The gardens were so beautiful and well kept. The gardener works hard every day. All of the facilities were very clean. Breakfast was good.The beach restaurant was very good value, with a wide range of food and drinks whilst watching the sunset. Shame it isn't open all year round.

Would like extra storage for clothes. There is a perfect gap between the fridge and corner desk for a cupboard or drawers. Most of the sunbeds near the front of the beach had towels on at 7am, but no one on them till later in the day. Saw a sign saying no reserving sunbeds!!! We didn't mind being at the back of the beach, but it would be nice to have a choice sometime.

What a gem this hotel is, we discovered it whilst staying in its expensive next door neighbour last year. We were upgraded to a pool villa set close to the stunning beach and within the beautiful well kept gardens. The location on a stunning stretch of beach, great breakfasts and cheerful and helpful staff all add to the experience. It's an easy tuk tuk ride to the town and market and there is a selection of beach resturants a few minutes walk along the beach. Yes there are areas that are showing the age of the hotel but the good absolutely negates any small issues. We will return

I loved the Andamania. It was a perfect place for relaxing, walking on the beach and swimming. The location is great - a very quiet beach with wide expanse and natural setting. The hotel is attractive with lovely gardens and a good sized pool. There is a large area with sun loungers and enough space for everyone, even in high season. The rooms are large - a little outdated but charming in their own way, and very comfortable. I would stay there again.

I don't have many complaints. The food is the hotel could be better and also a little cheaper. More people would eat there if they improved this.

A little old and not a lot of breakfast options

I can’t recommend them highly enough. Based on reviews here it was the first of 4 stops we made in Thailand with our 2 children (9&11). We had one room and one bungalow. Both with aircon and well appointed. Rooms cleaned and fresh towels daily. Fantastic and friendly service and the food in the restaurant is excellent- served right next to the beach. Breakfast included and a lovely array of tasty food. A really gorgeous place to stay if you’re going to the Khao Lak area and amazing value

Nothing, it was all fab!

The beach is really one of the best I ever been to! Imagine the Andaman Sea, with the fine sands, and lots of hermit crabs! The room is full with the ancient Thai furniture. The room was even equipped with Bed Net to prevent us from mosquito bite, but we do not used it. :( My kids and wife were enjoying the breakfast, but I could not have tasted it at all as the breakfast start from 7:30am to 10:30am, and I had to leave the hotel by 7, every morning. :)

If the breakfast can start even earlier, that would be great. However, I understand that starting breakfast earlier doesn't make sense to the operator as people go there mainly for holiday and chill... not like me, went there to work.
