We had as an couple an excellent and very friendly stay at the Haven Khao Lak. Hotel itself is beautiful and the general feeling was very peaceful and there was this sense of serenity. Pool is excellent, very large and you definitely can do long distance swimming practice there if you want. Pool was clean also. Enjoyed it a lot. Room was beautiful and good quality. Beds gave us lovely sleeps. Air-conditioning works very well and you can adjust it how you like. We didn't hear any noises from other rooms, it was peaceful and nice. Gym was good. Hotel activities were excellent and fun, highly recommend having them, you can get to know with other hotel visitors that way also if you want. Breakfast was well made, coffee is served to the table. Service excellent! I liked this restaurant a lot, food had very good taste. Thanks to the chefs. We actually visited this hotel's restaurant quite often while staying in the hotel, excellent surroundings and service again. You also get free ride to certain restaurant from the hotel if you want to visit other places also. There are also few other places to eat 500m walk from the hotel. We didn't go to them but heard that those are good options also. One of the best things is the beach, it's so peaceful and quiet, there is in front of the hotel on the beach some benches and hammocks and swings, think about watching the sunset there without any restaurant buzzing or other things, just peace and a painting that slowly changes, light breeze and ocean making it's sounds. You can rent a scooter from the hotel like we did, no problems, easy and quiet drive to the main road. There are some rental firms at Khao Lak that also deliver scooter to the hotel for little price if you like that option. Good secure parking for the scooter. The staff deserves extra mention as they were very friendly and helpful, if we had any problems they were very willingly to help us out.

The 8am classes on the beach with Boy or Dern were a highlight. Yoga, stretching, Pilates or Tai chi. Large pool , great for laps

Alot of stairs. Not alot of shady places to sit. Best sun lounges often reserved by people all day.

Excellent hotel. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean. Eveything you needed was provided free of cost - beach towels, beach mat, beach bag, drinking water, sandals etc. Breakfast was as great, fresh eggs made as you like and lots of sweet and savoury options and barista style coffee! The pool for the rooms and the main pool were kept clean and bug free. The evening restaurant food was lovely with a range of options, the Thai food was delicious but there were also more western options. The staff were fantastic - specifically a gentleman name William (a member of the bar staff) was exceptionally friendly and made our stay. Free shuttle bus that took you into the centre or to the market was really appreciated. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

Beautiful sunsets, not crowded and amazing sand. Walking distance to Bang Niang town and beach from the beach Extremely friendly staff and easy check in process. Went above and beyond to help us and give a great stay. Such good coffee!

Food was expensive and really sub par- we felt given the price it should be all inclusive or really improve on quality. While the beach was gorgeous, there was some trash we felt the resorts should try and clean up in order to be eco responsible. I’m sure it’s from tourists, but just a thought.

Staff were fabulous and very accomdating - nothing was too much trouble. Communal areas were fabulous, pool, swim up bars, reception, breakfast dining. We did a bike ride excursion which was also great. Food was pretty good quality too - breakfast had lots of variety and the Thai food we ate from the restaurant was good if a bit more expensive than outside, but that is to be expected. Western food wasn't so good - we had soggy chips the one time we chose soemthing off the Western menu! Room was huge and bed was confortable - water pressure was pretty good and everything was very clean.

Shuttle bus timings are infrequent and not that convenient if you wanted to go into the town for dinner so you have to facor the cost of a taxi there and back into your budget if you wish to go out. There was a terrible swereage smell outside our room for the first few mornings we were there, but then it went away. We were in room 2209. Lost of mosquitos and midges due to the rain so spraying the rooms and the facility would have ben good or even to provide insect spray in the rooms. Rooms are a little old fashioned now - traditional is great of course, but a bit of modernisation will be needed soon

The property was on the beach with good access to the water. The stuff was wonderful, very helpful and kind, friendly and the service was outstanding. The rooms and facility was clean, and offered many little extras. Bikes and Motor scooters were avail to rent which was nice. The location was good, access to 7Eleven, pharmacy and restaurants / bars. Tours were also available to book from the hotel making it easy to organize and plan excursions. The pools were very nice, accessible and clean.

The breakfast offered everyday was extensive but did not change from day to day. The food was good and well prepared.

The room was renovated, super clean and very big, and there was no kind of noise to disturb doing our stay. The staff in the reception and all the maids were so kind and helpful all the time. The massage treatments in the spa were fantastic! The beach is very undisturbed with few people - unlike other areas in Thailand - and the pool areas was huge 🤩

It was a bit far from everything (15 min by car to town) The food in the restaurant was not the best. Some of the waiters seemed to having issues with service in general and didn’t smile once doing the week we where there, but some of the younger waiters at least tried.

Breakfast is great, many varieties and fresh. Freshly made coffee, made to order coffee and eggs dishes. Very big/long pool with a beautiful view of the long sea shore. Many sunbeds for everyone. The resort is for adults only so it's not noisy at all. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. A lot of them are not Thai, neither are the guests. There are many free activities for guests such as yoga, tai-chi, pilates, water polo, thai boxing, and many more. I joined a water aerobic dance. It was enjoyable. We stayed 5 days there and were sad to leave. Between 4-5 pm there is happy hour time at pool bar. The bed is very big and comfy and the room has all amenities we need, though the mini fridge is not cold enough so my fruits went bad not even 2 days later.

Our room has pool view but without access, except the main pool. It was a torture at first that we could see a pool from our balcony but not allowed to go in. If known, I'd have booked that room instead. It's a fancy resort so understandably everything has a bit higher price than outside. They don't seem to have a specialized bartender or barista to make drinks for a fancy resort, any staff seems to learn from each other to prepare drinks for guests. The mocktails and milkshake were plain.

The speed at which all the guests moved was my vibe. Everybody was couples without kids and as it was remote nobody was rushing to get anywhere. Pool was amazing. Beachside sunsets to die for.

Nobody mentioned the stairs. It’s a two level climb from the ground floor to breakfast. Not great for old bones. It’s a bit far out of town but we liked that and k ew it when we booked. Could be off putting for those that want to walk places.

The hotel is amazing! Everything was great - from the biggest swimming pool to Thai language classes, offered to guests. I liked pool the most - 300 m of clean and warm water :) The food was great both for breakfast and for dinner, with local and European options for every taste and huge choice of cocktails and mocktails. We had the dinner at the beach for St Valentine's day, and the arrangement was terrific - flowers, Chinese lanterns, music, 7-course meal, sparkling vine, etc. Spa treatments are a bit pricey, but of very high quality. Entertainment is very diverse - yoga, pilates, thai box, thai stretching, language classes, batik classes, and many more. The personnel was very helpful at all times.
