Right by the sea, with a great seawater pool as well, I swam at 7 am everyday. The staff were excellent and far exceeded my expectations with their friendliness and willingness to accommodate my requests for transport or to buy dried shrimp or pick up my friend. I enjoyed the breakfast provided and dinner options were provided and places suggested for dinner lunch or just coffee and transport provided. They even had a friendly little kitten who walked all over cat loving me. I named him Benny. I really didn't want to leave because other patrons were happy and relaxed like me and we had our own dream team of happy campers which earnt the names of Aquaman, Aquagirl and Aquaboy. Special mention goes to Gak the beach barman, driver and general "I'll help you however I can, transport or tours. He even let me be the international DJ at his bar, playing songs and requests on his Bluetooth speaker. I'll be back for sure. Some stay a night before going to an island but all seem to wish they were staying longer and some come back. Janpa resort really did feel like home with bonuses of course. Great job Janpa Resort.

When it came time to leave

I had a fantastic stay at Janpa resort, it is possibly the most beautiful place i have ever seen. The views are out of this world. The staff here are outstanding, they are so polite and helpful, everything they do is with a big smile. The young man that runs the bar (we know as Dek) not his real name I'm sure,  has been so helpful to us, he not only advised us on else's to visit but actually drove us ther in his own car,  taking a rural route back to show us some small but interesting places. He played the guitar and sang to us, he is an amazing g human being. I cannot praise the staff enough the general manger and the reception is could not do enough for us.  I will be coming back next year and maybe again after that. Steve

We originally booked to stay here for a week. The hotel and staff were fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

We cut short our stay and moved over to samui simply because there wasn't much to do in the area around the hotel. Quite possibly our own fault for not researching the area. Can't fault the hotel though!

Very nice swimming pool, late checkout until noon, long and good breakfast, very friendly team, cold drinks available at very reasonable prices

The room was a bit worn out, not much to do in the area (i would only come here if you have a ferry to catch). Not easy to find the janpa restaurant.

We were able to rent a motorcycle directly from the front office. We met some great people and generally had our evening meals on the beach in great company. The breakfast buffet was pleasant and the sea was just outside our front door.

The sea shore is very natural and nice but a bit muddy.

The room was really nice and clean with excellent views. There were plenty of things to do around and the owners were very helpful. There are 2 local dolphins that could be seen on a boat trip. There are no local tourist agencies that we have seen but Isara helped us and arranged a trip and some other visits around according to our budget. We visited the temple - Wat Don Sak and a fish spa - called fiskespa. Breakfast was nice with plenty of options to be selected. All day was 100% personalised with not many tourists around (mainly local, Thai people). Janpa resorts also arranged our transport back to the Ferry - Isara's husband drove us back to the pier with plenty of time to catch the ferry.

There was not much information forehand in the Booking page about what to do locally. This was not a problem because the owner helped us a lot.

Great spot, not as touristy as other places - mainly local tourism. Beach front rooms right on the water. Swimming pool (new) across the road in the other half of the resort. A number of beach front restaurants to choose from for dining.

The two beach front rooms are right next to the staff area of the restaurant next door so can be quite noisy, and the outside area of the resort next to the rooms can also be noisy. But, wasn’t a problem. The hot water was almost non existent and water pressure was very low. Be aware there are multiple piers in the area so if you are being picked up be certain which pier you are at! It is not a swimming beach - very shallow.

We liked our room because of the view of the sea, we booked the Standard Double Room with Sea View. It was a great place to stay before our ferry to Ko Phangan the next morning. It was lovely town with great restaurants. Being close to the ocean was very special. The staff were friendly and the swimming pool was great with nice views. Highly recommend it here!

The pool view room is really nice - Resort super quiet, in a lovely area - Amazing beach upfront, with nice installation to enjoy it - Staff is very kind - The bed sheets were very soft

The garden side rooms we get (first on top) need a refreshement, the building entry behind it is really not appealing.
