I recently stayed at El Matcha Lanta Resort, and I had a wonderful experience. The room itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a nice, relaxing environment and peaceful atmosphere. While there is no TV in the room, I honestly didn't miss it at all. There's so much to do and explore on the island, and I was always out and about. The beautiful garden on the property was a great place to relax when I wasn’t out exploring Koh Lanta’s beaches and sights. The bed and pillows were comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep after long days of adventures. The air conditioning and water heater worked fine, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. A special mention goes to the staff—everyone was very helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure I had a great stay. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Koh Lanta!

-very close to 7/11, restaurants and shops -not directly on the beach but 2mins walk from the beach which is really nice, but because of the low tides you can't swim most of the time -the housekeeping cleaned my room really properly everyday -the bungalow is spacious, bed very comfy -excellent wifi !!! I needed perfect wifi for video calls and haven't had problem once, amazing

-no reception, you can only contact the owner on whatsapp but he only speaks french -I stayed in many similar accomodations around Thailand and I didn't like that you don't have access to drinking water. They only give you 2 small waters in plastic bottles a day. I had to carry plastic bottles from 7/11 everyday. I would very happily pay for a water refill. Most places have water in refillable glass bottles.

Comfortable, clean, well-equipped rooms, cleaned daily. The owners were lovely and went over and above to help us with transport and retrieving our lost baggage from the airline. Staff were friendly and the place felt very welcoming. Would recommend!

Bungalow was very clean and comfortable, bungalows are recently renovated. Multiple breakfast places available close by, as well as other services (for example 7/11, restaurants etc.). Yard area was well maintained and clean, beautiful plants and plenty of trees around.

A mosque right next door woke us up every morning at dawn, but praying calls fortunately lasted only for a short while.

Staff are very efficient, helpful and welcoming. Email communication good with self check-in details. Garden is relaxing and kept neat and tidy by gardener. Plaifon restaurant just across main road with delicious food and lovely people. Only two minutes walk to 7eleven supermarket. Comfortable bed in modern bungalow. Share kitchen if you really need to cook! Very laid back location in a Muslim village close to.a mosque. Beautiful Long Beach less than 3 minutes walk. Total experience was welcoming, friendly and always felt safe during our 4 night stay. Small night market on Mondays. Use of pool and restaurant in hotel next door with same owner. Will stay again next time in Koh Lanta.

It was a bit weird that the owner only speaks French, no english, and he came up to us after dark without introducing himself to ask me to type my name into his phone in a WhatsApp chat. I found that a bit sus, but I think it's just how he confirms that you're who is meant to be staying in the given bungalow, as there is no real check-in or reception.

Nice stay close to the beach. Beach was beautiful with many beach restaurants and bars. There were very beautiful sunsets. Hotel area is compact and not very huge. Hotel has no pool area :( The room was nice and clean but since the hotel is in the middle of the nature then we found a huge cockroach at our hotel room which was a bit creepy.

Great bungalows, very well equipped. Location is just next to the beach and many facilities nearby - 7 Eleven, shops, ATM, restaurants. The owners are very helpful and know the best beaches around. There is even running water outside the bungalow to wash your feet.

Beachside, close to convenience stores, restaurants, bars and massage. I was there for three weeks of low season so almost had the place to myself. Staff on site were very kind and also respected privacy when I slept in late. Being on the beach it was an easy stroll to eat out as often as you liked.

Took a few rides to get the local Tuk Tuk drivers to give me an even price, and it was only thanks to advice from Matcha staff that I realised they were 'taking me for a ride'... :) Loved my stay. Highly reccomend.

The resort is beautifully located in a street with many shops, 7/11 and massage salons. Also directly on the beach. The resort is clean, very luxurious, and the staff is amazing. It’s a new resort and you can sense they made the right choices. The bed is so comfy aswell. There is currently no pool, but you can use the one from the sister property. Only 2 min walk and it’s a nice pool. We have seen where the new pool will be build, in the middle of the resort and it will become quite big! Linda helped us with everything we needed and she also booked a snorkel excursion to Koh Rok & Koh Ha for us. We would recommend everyone to do this excursion, it’s amazing.
