It’s set amongst a lush forest in the most beautiful setting. Every corner of the property is photo worthy. And believe me, I took tonnes! It’s impeccably kept. Peaceful. A self-sustaining oasis away from the hustle of Chiang Mai. But also an easy 45mins taxi. The old tobacco drying barns have been cleverly and tastefully converted into stunning, contemporary architectural marvels to accomodate guests. You don’t need to leave. Everything within the resort. Perfect for a yoga retreat, events, or simply an affordable getaway to soak up the sun and be pampered. I was completely aesthetically arrested!

The hotel staff were excellent. Very professional service and always happy to help.

Only thing and it is just a small thing was that the shower would flood the bathroom. This is only a small thing and didn't impact our stay.

Kaomai Lanna resort is a beautiful resort not far out of Chiang Mai. They have repurposed the old tobacco drying barns into beautiful accommodation, cafe, restaurant and tea house. With onsite spa treatment and pool you can relax and enjoy the surrounding area from a beautiful location

This is a really interesting place to stay. It is a former tobacco estate and the rooms are in the old tobacco sheds. The rooms them selves are basic enough but the grounds are lovely, mature trees and the whole place with a lot of character. There is a large outdoor pool as well.

Very special place. I love what they have made out of this former tobacco estate. I changed room because of the matress being very firm and some barhrooms have been refurbished, others are dated. Lovely, very nice staff at reception allowing me to checknin early. Same at the Cafe and restaurant. This place is perfect to settle down after a road trip or prior to your flight. "Real coffee" in the room bar to brew a cup which makes a nice change to the Nescafe stuff you find elsewhere. Nice cake at the Cafe and dinner was really good. Since I was the only guest for dinner they set up a table for me outside in the garden where I was trated to some really nice Thai food served by the chef. Really enjoyed my short stay!

Can hardly mention anyrhing beside the bathroom of my second room needing a refurbishment.

We had 2 rooms, the fist one was nice but if you book ask for the upper Japanese room, it was outstanding

Very peaceful and full of history. We got fabulous massages. The room was very big and spacious. The receptionist was extremely helpful and had great English.

The location in an old tobacco farm is very interesting with very beautiful trees throughout the estate. The accommodaton is quite simple but very quiet and full of atmosphere. There is a lso a good pool.

The only downside is that the resort does not have a restarant open after 6pm. We had a car so could drive out and find somewhere locally to have dinner but without your own transport you are a bit limited for something to eat in the evening.

Fantastic renovation of a historical site with bedrooms incorporated into previous tobacco leaf drying silos. Really interesting interpretation museum and great architecture incorporating a cafe, tea house and restaurant.

The entrance and exit roads were in made and could do with improving
