I paid less than $400 for a two week stay, so to ground the review, I would say for that price I got what I needed, nothing fancy, just functional. The room was small but clean, staff was nice and accommodating, location was close to the mosque (50meters), metro (7 minutes walk), grocery shopping, pharmacy, and Ulus market where you can find pretty much anything (food, hardware, pets, clothes, etc.). There's constant police presence due to several clubs and pubs in the neighborhood.

Unfortunately the Wifi was not working for the second half of my stay, we were told it's a city issue. Staff tried to help through their own network, but it only worked in the hallway or down at the reception. The proximity of clubs and pubs were not welcomed by myself but it's not a hotel issue, rather a location, but in general with police presence drunk people were kept in check. I once ran into two drunk girls on my way to the mosque at dawn and they were fighting and cussing and one of them crossed the main street running and almost got ran over by a taxi.

I had a lovely three night stay here as a solo female traveler. I found the staff to be kind and welcoming, the bed was comfortable, and the included breakfast was varied and delicious (the menemen was particularly yummy!). It's really convenient having a cafe downstairs as well to grab a cappuccino. When I first arrived, my room didn't lock from the inside and they quickly changed me to another room. Some have commented that the location was questionable - yes, there are lots of men standing around the street outside (some drinking alcohol), but I didn't feel unsafe while I was staying there and found it to be a great location for exploring the old town. I was, however, back at the hotel by 9pm every day so I'm not sure what it's like later at night. I went by foot to Antikabir (about an hour or so) and to Kizilay (about 40 mins) - so I think it's a great location if you like to walk. I would stay here again!

The only small issues I had was the room smelled faintly of sewage and the air conditioner made loud noises which was only really problematic while I was trying to sleep.

We had a great experience at this hotel! Everything was exactly as described on the website, and even better in some ways. The room was spotless and well-maintained, which made us feel really comfortable right from the start. The breakfast was fresh, varied, and truly enjoyable – a great way to start the day. Although parking is not free, the hotel does mention this clearly, and there were always spots available. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful – they assisted us both with our luggage and even with parking the car, which was a lovely gesture. Overall, the service was warm and professional, the facilities were clean, and we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. I absolutely recommend this hotel and would definitely come back! <3

The hotel maintained very high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Every facility worked well and the staff were very polite and helpful. Mr. Sinan at the front office was very supportive and provided very good background information on Ankara. Due to his guidance about public transport and some outbound locations like Golbasi and Cubuk Barrage, I could enjoy these wonderful places. Salim and Ahmet were very supportive also, just to name a few of the most wonderful staff team.

At first appearance, the neighborhood is slightly run down, but that is not the making of the hotel. Actually the area is very central, but for some reason, a bit neglected by the otherwise competent city administration.

This place checked all the boxes for me. The bed was comfortable, the temperature control in the room was good. It was quiet most of the time. Nice shower. Nice cleaning staff. Internet was fine. But the best part was the staff, Neyir and Soger and Sinan and all the rest. I really loved them! They helped me with anything that I needed and they exceeded the quality of staff even in higher rated establishments. I also felt very safe here. I even left my bags for a two days when I traveled elsewhere and back. Very very trustworthy place. The neighborhood itself has a rougher feel, but I never had any problems and always felt safe. And its very very close to all of the major tourist attractions in the city like the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and the Castle old town area. Kudos to this establishment for doing a great job at a great price point!!

Maybe just double check to make sure every amenity in the listing matches the room. But really, I can't think of anything bad about my experience.

The rooms are very clean, very modern and quite beautiful. Room service does an amazing job and arrives everyday, you do not have to ask. The reception staff are very friendly and very helpful. Ahmet offered us çay many times and was just generally lovely. The hotel offers a buffet Turkish breakfast with a fair spread of options. One can also eat different types of cereal and there is some good coffee. However, if you arrive later, you will miss out on some of the food. The breakfast staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is soundproof, you willl not hear other guests. The wifi is very strong. The hotel is very close to the station and to many other destinations, it is central.

The area where the hotel is located is not very clean and a little busy but is safe. The rooms overlook other buildings and a quite small. A little too small for two people but you fit. Due to how close the hotel is from the train station or to other stations, you may need to tip the uber drivers in order for them to accept your trip otherwise it is too short for them to drive ( but too long to walk with heavy bags).

Very clean, modern hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodaring. The hotel is just a jump away from the castle, so you can walk up to it. Hvala!

The hotel was fine for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There was a door to a small outdoor space that only looked onto outdoor stairs - I found that a bit strange, but probably useful for smokers. Breakfast was adequate, coffee comes from a machine with only one option - milk I already added. Although the hotel states it is close to the train station it was about a 20 minute walk. The best thing about the hotel as others have mentioned, is its closeness to a great Turkish restaurant just across the street.

The location of the hotel is quite good for foreign tourists, who wishes look at central ancient part of Ankara. The hotel is situated near Ulus metro station. You can reach Ankara castle and the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations by your feet in 30-40 minutes. The room had heating radiators. It was warm inside the room during snow cold days. We liked it very much in the hotel. One more important thing in this accommodation - cleanliness of bed and the room itself. The breakfast was also good with a good choice of different foods.

The room hadn't a balcony, but the description of this room contained information about balcony.

One of the positive aspects of Dab Hotel is the diverse staff employed there. The receptionist is from Iran, Ahmad is from Turkey, and another staff member, Samir, is from Afghanistan. The team works well together, staying organized while providing excellent facilities for the guests. I observed that all the guests were satisfied and left with fond memories of their experiences.
