A nice older hotel with lovely staff and a great location for me, near the train station (as I was laying over between train journeys). The room had everything I needed and the neighbourhood was full of shops and restaurants.

The room was desperately hot on arrival (like 26 or 27C?) and it was very difficult to cool it down.

This hotel always aim for reaching perfection and it will reach it, as it always listen to gusts and never waive their requests, one I told them the swimming pool should be hotter and next time i reached there it was HOT.. Thank you

I love pancake and it should be done on a flat grill to get right thickness and right color. Kitchen staff is so cooperate and with a bright smile always. MIRAC and others thank you very much. I like watching TV and all channels is Turkish channels and it would be excellent if a couple of Arabic channels or other channels. sorry my Turkish is weak till now but i am learning. :)

A very welcoming hotel! One of the nicest greetings and service we got from the 7 hotels we stayed at throughout our tour of Turkey. They offer a pillow menu (we love a goose feather but a thick memory foam arrived instead) but the standard pillows were good too. Breakfast starts early at 7am, but as we had to get a train (as conveniently about 7 minute walk away), but they packed us a ham roll, apple and juice box for lunch each. Great location, great value- This is like an old style 5* - maybe needs some modernising now - but the price is right for the hotel. The air conditioning was not working too well so uncomfortably warm, but we were only there one night but they are certainly quick at addressing things. The only thing ( which we saw a lot of our travels in the older style properties) is they provide hand soap bar in bathroom instead of pump soap- which we would personally prefer. Also pump action shampoo and conditioner on wall would be a more cost effective for the hotel and much nicer to use - than the little bottles with tiny writing hotels provide! I would certainly recommend for a cheery, reasonable hotel close to the station - Our only regret is that we didn't see much of Ankara.

The hotel is located in a very central area in Ankara, which made our arrival and departure very easy. The Antikabir just 10 minutes away and most of the rooms has a nice view to it, which we really liked. The Ankara Castle and the graphic old town are are almost 40 minutes away by feet and also there are many beautiful parks close by for walking and relaxing. All of the staff were really kind and discreet throughout our stay. The hotel has also some beautiful spaces, perfect for food, drinks or even relaxing. The food that we ordered to our room was delicious and in a very reasonable price which surprised us positively. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and with a big comfy bed. We had room service every day and there was always staff in the reception ready to help you with whatever you need. All in all we are very satisfied with our stay and we will choose again if we visit Ankara in the future.

All of the hotel staff were excellent: very polite, kind, and very helpful. The hotel is quite beautiful and in a convenient location. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious and in a quiet and peaceful corridor which I really appreciated. The restaurant is good and the food and drinks very nice. There is also a small coffee shop at the bottom of the hotel which is convenient.

The smell of cigarette smoke in my room at night was terrible. Even with the windows closed, other guests' smoke made my room smell awful. I don't know if it was coming in through the windows or the AC vents. The AC was ineffective. Very little cold air came out. Only one lift (elevator) for guest to use. Obviously, this is not something that can be changed, but it was a little inconvenient.

The stuff was great - they wanted to help with everything and since we had to leave very early in the morning, before breakfast, they've arranged us lunch boxes. Spa is included in hotel price, towels can be rented for free, and only swimming caps need to be bought, but they're cheap. Spa is really nice, just the pool water can be a bit hotter. Location is great - it's close to the train station which is good of one needs to catch a train for wherever. Room was clean and spacious and upon arrival you get a cute personalized note, cookies and apples which is a nice detail! You can choose different pillows (you literally have a pillow menu) - I didn't like mine, but I had the option to change it for some other. It's also cool that you can cast Netflix, YouTube, Disney+.

In the future, it would be good to have higher internet speed as for us, the internet wasn't working proplerly the whole time as it was too slow. Also, it would be nice to have more food options for the breakfast.

This 5-star hotel gives you the real 5-star experience. Arrival in a busy street, a Bellboy takes care of valet parking and luggage! Top quality food even with room service, perfect Spa and central ca. 15-20 mins from all sight seeings. The staff were super friendly also towards our kids. Last but least the airco/climate control was super, outside 36 degrees celsius and on the inside we were able to have a chill room at 20 degrees!

For the swimming pool you need to buy a hair cap at the hotel if you didn’t bring one. But if thats all?

The wellness facilities are truly the crown jewel of this establishment. The swimming pool is well-maintained and spacious enough for both leisure swimming and proper exercise. However, it's the authentic Turkish Hamam that sets this hotel apart from its competitors. The traditional bath house experience, combined with a modern sauna, provides an exceptional way to unwind after a busy day. The accommodations exceed expectations in terms of both space and comfort. The rooms are generously sized, offering ample space to work and relax. The sleeping experience is particularly noteworthy - the beds feature high-quality mattresses that strike an ideal balance between firmness and comfort. The thoughtful selection of pillows, varying in firmness and size, ensures a customized sleeping experience for every guest. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority, evident in every aspect of the hotel. The housekeeping staff maintains impeccable standards, from the spotless bathroom fixtures to the carefully pressed linens. The attention to detail extends to the regular sanitization of all surfaces and amenities.

A crucial consideration when booking at Ickale Hotel is the room location within the property. The hotel faces a main thoroughfare in Ankara (Gazi Mustafa Bvl), and the street-facing rooms can experience noticeable traffic noise, particularly during peak hours. While the windows offer decent soundproofing, light sleepers might find the urban soundtrack disruptive to their rest. For a more serene stay, I strongly recommend requesting a room at the back of the hotel during booking. These rear-facing rooms overlook a quieter area and offer a significantly more peaceful environment, ensuring undisturbed sleep and a more relaxing atmosphere overall - a small detail that can make a substantial difference to your stay comfort.

I absolutely love this hotel! It is truly a great place to stay, offering excellent facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. The swimming pool, hammam, and sauna are particularly impressive—perfect for relaxation during the weekend or after a long day. The location is also fantastic, with easy access to both Kızılay and the railway station, making it convenient for exploring the city. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be looking forward to coming back again!
