The hotel was very comfortable and very clean. The room was spacious, with a nice big bed. The bathroom was clean and nicely decorated. There was outdoor seating in front of the room, where we ate some room service. The food was pretty good, espeically at breakfast. The location is fantastic - far enough from the main part of town so it iis nice and quiet, but close enough to some of the sites like the Basilica and the cable car for the ancient city of Pergamon. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The only thing that was annoying was the shower, which didn't stay facing downwards, but other than that, there was nothing else to complain about!

The hotel is a cute but small complex on the route to the Acropolis of Pergamon. It is clear that the owners take pains to make it a warm and cozy atmosphere. Besides being attentive to our needs, they also make a great breakfast and dinner and have a small variety of vegetarian options too. We particularly enjoyed the bed - it was firm but supportive. The room itself was also pretty spacious and had plenty of lighting options. Additionally, the surrounding neighborhood is extremely beautiful, and there are small shops and other restaurants nearby. Finally, we hadn't realized that most tours to see the historical sites actually leave from Izmir rather than Bergama. Fortunately, the owners were able to find us a local tour guide last minute who drove us around in their own car! We really enjoyed our time with him and felt very grateful that the owners arranged our meeting.
The shower head was loose, so it kept changing directions, sometimes spraying straight in the eyeballs. Also, the complex has a locked door that you have to buzz in whenever you want to come back in after leaving. This is not a huge problem since the owners are quick to answer - just something to keep in mind if you like to come and go at all hours.

The breakfast is a hearty mix of middle-European (the proprietor is German) and Turkish dishes delivered to tables which are set on a wooden platform in the garden next to the kitchen. The rooms, which likewise open onto the garden, form a quadrangle that seem to have begun as a religious cloister in the Middle Ages. Certainly, a new arrival in the street could not imagine so much living space behind the cloister's outer wall, before an employee comes to unlock the door and guests are admitted into the courtyard. The rooms within are spacious enough for both a couch and a writing desk, along with a comfortable king-size bed. Outside the bedroom door to the garden one finds a table and chairs for those who smoke or imbibe, or else want to gaze at the stars overhead. Located at the edge of town, this boutique hotel is barely 200 m from the cable cars that in daylight whisk tourists up to the ancient Greek acropolis of Pergamon, with its remnants of one of the ancient world's greatest libraries and a huge stone theatre, each of which looms over the modern city of Bergama and its wide valley set between a range of low mountains.
The swimming pool is very small, tucked into a corner near a passageway connecting the garden rooms with an interior compound. And while every effort has been made to preserve the historic character of the space, the wooden floors of the rooms and trestle walkways located on the second storey create quite a clatter for guests sleeping in the ground-floor rooms.

This was an adorable little setting with the charming courtyard. The spacious room was great for our family, although the king bed was more comfortable than the twin beds in the second bedroom. The room was quiet and clean. The walk in shower was huge and very luxurious. The breakfast was a wonderful sampling of the typical Turkish breakfast items.
This was the only hotel during our trip where breakfast was not included in the room price. An additional 10€ per person.

I didn't expect much from this hotel because of the mixed reviews, but it exceeded my expectations. I think the location is the best in the area because you can walk right to the Burgamo church and there is a small grocery store nearby. And the place is well maintained because the owners are running their own business, so even though it's old, it feels more vintage than old. And it's the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. It's a Turkish breakfast, and the plating has an artistic flair that makes it even more delicious. I'll never forget reading on the terrace here. And I read a comment complaining about the door being locked, and I was actually grateful that the owner went to the trouble of unlocking the door every time, because it gave the guests a sense of security and comfort. I even ran into a mentally ill person in the neighborhood. This place is highly recommended!

This is a real gem of a place to stay with incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. The building is a little bit like a caravanserai from the past where there is a courtyard in the centre and the living and accommodation areas are around the square. The rooms are spacious with everything you need for a very pleasant stay. The public sitting areas are very generous with separate dining areas and also a very comfortable bar and sitting room area. There is also another courtyard which contains a beautiful swimming pool (very welcome on a hot summer day). The area has loungers, chairs, tables, and shaded umbrellas, also a shower and toilets. All the staff were very friendly and very keen to make their guests stay as enjoyable as possible. Getting to Pergamum is so easy via the teleferique a short 8 minute walk away. The Asclepieion of Pergamon was further away, but i was happy to walk there. The town of Bergama itself was a delightful place with so many interesting sights to see. I'd love to return.

This is a charming, family-run hotel at the foot of the hill of the ancient city of Pergamon and it has a great location for exploring the nearby ruins around the town of Bergama. We enjoyed the beautiful, quiet garden of the property and its refreshing pool after two hot days of roaming around the ruins. The food in the hotel restaurant was fresh and tasty and we were happy to have had both our breakfasts and dinners there, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere and music outside. Also, the staff of the hotel is welcoming, warm and helpful. We would happily recommend this characteristic place to friends travelling around Turkey.

Wonderful location, wonderful host, wonderful breakfast. The owners are kind, friendly and helpful. They are personable and accommodating. They helped us with any questions we had, joked around with us and made sure we were happy and comfortable. The breakfast was a varied and tasty spread, with me particularly enjoying the sausage slices. We had dinner both nights there as well and the cook, is clearly skilled and passionate. The "family room" we booked was large, clean and comfortable. The pool was a delight in the nearly 40° summer heat.
No complaints.

Stayed 3 nights Large clean room overlooking the central area. Quiet part of town so good sleep quality. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location and only a 10 minute walk to the cable car for the archeological site. Good breakfast but doesn’t start until 8.30am so I skipped it two days as heading off early. I ate at the restaurant all three nights which was agreeable.
On street parking which is a little tight as in any Turkish old town. Top tip, there is a nice broad straight road to park on the next block down the hill.

+ Aesthetically pleasing property with a variety of plants and smart lighting in the common areas, just loved sitting in the small balcony overlooking the restaurant + Within a secure compound + Helpful and responsive host + Spacious room
- Approach to this property is through a slightly run down area, the property in itself is within a secure compound though - Car parking is on the road outside (under cctv supervision) - Had to ring the door bell every time to get into the property (even for picking up something from our car parked outside). The outside door is spring loaded and it closes automatically. - Not many restaurants nearby. For dinner we ordered pasta and rice with mushrooms, the quantity served was very less for the price charged.
