The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English well! I really enjoyed their hospitality! I booked two rooms for my family and both were nice and clean. Our rooms were opposite, so we had no problems with that. The beds were comfy and there was no noise that would make it hard to sleep, the curtains also blocked enough light to have a good rest at night and in the morning. There were no issues with electrical devices - the AC, hairdryer and TV were working well, we also asked for the iron to iron the clothes and got it quickly. We really enjoyed breakfasts, the food was fresh, there was a good variety of choice, greens and great desserts, as well as tea, coffee and juices. The menu was also different every day, so we had a chance to try some traditional Turkish food and desserts right at the hotel. The hotel location is very convenient, there are two small shops with food and some necessities next to the hotel as well as the exchange office. It takes about 6 minutes to get to the tram station. You can get to Sultanahmet Square in 15 minutes using the tram or in 30 minutes on foot, which I think is great.

Unfortunately, the wi-fi in the rooms was pretty bad, it was almost impossible to use the internet, because it took a very long time to load a single page. However, it worked pretty well on the ground floor, so you can use it if you go down and sit in the lounge area. There was also some mold between the tiles in the shower, because the bathroom ventilation didn’t work. So in order to dry it, I had to open the bathroom door and wait. It was also hard to dry the washed clothes.

Very good bed and meaty pillows, and nice and very diverse buffet offer at breakfast, big shower cabin, and nice quiet street with a lot of restaurants. Cleaning and towels can be changed every day, and there is small electronic light sign people can turn on in the morning for not disturbing or for room cleaning and that was respected. And refrigerator with small freezer is always a nice bonus, as well as electric kettle for boiling water.

Almost same offer for breakfast every day, but they have one different salty pastry every day and different fresh dessert every day. And some kind of shower gel could be nice.

The property is located at the Aksaray, 10 min walk from tram station, 15 min walk to Marmaray/train/metro and 5 min walk from bus station. Good location that gives you flexibility to go to any attraction that you want in Istanbul. Hotel itself is a little outdated, but well maintained and it justifies the price. The air conditioning was working perfectly and the rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed and staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the breakfast was awesome. You can find many traditional Turkish dishes at the table to take from and try on without having to go to breakfast somewhere else and pay a lot of money for it. For me and for the price it is 10/10. Also, to show their hospitality, the last night of our stay, the hotel served us free plate of fruits which was a very nice touch.

The rooms could be a little updated to be more modern, but then the price probably wouldn’t be the same. So, choose for yourself.

The biggest plus is the location of Hamit Hotel as it is very conveniently located for exploring the Sultanahmet area just by going on foot. You can very easily walk to many of the great places like the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia. There is a tram down the road very near to the hotel that takes you to farther places like Galata Tower, Kabatas for taking Ferry to Princess Island and to many more places. The hotel rooms are pleasent and give good value for money, we stayed here for 1 week as a group of 3 friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were so many other foreigners and nice families staying in the hotel. The breakfast hall is bright and cozy with spacious seating and the breakfast buffet has delicious fresh food everyday with lots of variety that one can fill up his tummy till the evening time. The hotel staff is very nice and understands English. How can we forget Zainadane and especially Shamoos. I would recommend Hamit Hotel for a nice budget stay in Istanbul.

The furniture in the rooms is a bit less comfortable otherwise the rooms are nice and well insulated from outside noise. I would advise the hotel owner to upgrade the beds and sofas with a higher quality furniture.

We stayed at Hamit Hotel Istanbul for 9 nights with 5 people and were very pleased with our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with daily cleaning and fresh towels. Breakfast had a wide variety, and everything was well organized. The location is excellent, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and major attractions are within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and you can book great tours directly through the hotel. Everything was well organized, we would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is well managed by Mr. Ali and effectively maintained by the personal. The management led by Mr.Ali shows Turkish hospitability by offering a very generous breakfast with unik variation. I recommended this simple hotel for its rational, practical, kind and generous policy. Everything works perfectly, heat, water, WiFi and cleaning. I'd like to thank the Management and personnel for making my stay pleasant and enjoyable.

The entrance of the hotel could be improved to be more noticeable. One can pass by the hotel without noticing.

Breakfast was fabulous with a lots of variety including Hot food , fruits, continental food, juice, coffee, tea , cereals , cheese, olives plus many more you could imagine or expect to be in a breakfast , Breakfast staff were the stars of the Hotel, Cleaning staff was very professional with no complaints, 5 storey Hotel building with lift, rooms were clean and fragrant, All the staff members were very welcoming and always greeting with smile and giving respect, always ready to help, there was kettle, fridge freezer msafe locker, hair dryer, etc, in room. Location was very good with public transport at just 7 minutes walk and lots of shops and restaurants near by , nearest tram station to the hotel is Aksaray station which takes you to SultanAhmet, Eminonu, Kabatas etc and just 1 stop after Aksaray station is Yusufpasa station which is famous for delicious Restaurants at very reasonable rate with a lots of Non-vegetarian, Vegetarian, Vegan options, also the underground tube Yenikepi was at few minutes walk which can be used for travelling far off destinations for just £1 per person. Hotel staff also gave a genuine advise on places where to exchange money for better rates and offered us Istanbulkart card for free, I’ve been to many hotels in Istanbul but this was the best among all. I think I got a permanent hotel in Istanbul to stay for my future Visits to Istanbul.

The only thing that needs improving is adding black out blinds to window as during summer sun rises early and brightens the room. In July Temperature was nearly 30 degrees so you can’t walk long distances specially if you are from Cold countries.

It was a great stay, thanks to Malik and his team for their generous support, which made our experience even better! The breakfast offered a variety of dishes that we really enjoyed. The hotel's location was excellent, being close to both Vezneciler Metro and Aksaray Tramway stations.

The room's soundproofing was poor, as we could hear noise from the other rooms. The Wi-Fi was a bit weak, especially on the 3rd and 4th floors, but since I had mobile data, it wasn't a big issue.

They upgraded my room for free. Whether it be because they overbooked and had no other rooms available or out of the kindness of their heart, it was nice to have 3 single beds where I only used 1 for the night. Spacious and clean! Breakfast was available, nice spread with a mix of options for hot and cold - even though it wasn't my cup of tea. Good value for money for location. Walking distance to public trabsport.

Cold foods for breakfast were sitting out in the open, not on ice or anything to keep cool/cold. The juice was very diluted water in some cases or very concentrated nectars for others.
