I would like to state that Araf hotel is an absolute little gem. It has a quirky individual style and charm about the place. The owners have taken a lot of time and effort to give it a lovely feel. Beautiful entrance and everyone greets you with a smile and always happy to help. The hotel is walking distance to most of the important attractions. Sultan Selim Cami is 2 mins walk Mevlana museum 4-5 mins walk Shams Tabriz 8-10 min walk. As a solo female traveler it was safe. Lots of food places around. The room was cleaned daily and bottled water was supplied daily. A big thank you to Ibrahim, Yunus Emre, Mustafa, Sophia and Nuriye who all were amazing. I don’t remember everyone’s name, all the staff were awesome. I would definitely come back again.

A beautiful boutique hotel with kind staff. The place is wonderfully decorated with items you can purchase. I loved the decor and the details. The room we had was a family room and was pefect for 2 adults and 2 tweens. Comfortable bed and easy check-in. There was parking at the back of the building. There was a restaurant 5 minutes away and if you are there to see Rumi's tomb, it is a 3 minute walk.

The elevator broke so we had to carry our bags downstairs at checkout time.

It was like walking into a quaint little shop full of beautiful art and books with a cafe like vibe....you could sit on one of the many small tables and read a book getting lost in a world of your own whilst you drink your Turkish Chai or Coffee whatever takes your fancy. The staff was helpful and friendly. They served excellent Sahoor to those fasting. Bread, eggs, cheese, fresh vegetables a few salads some greens and lots of Chai...the location was amazing just opposite the Mazar. An avid Rumi deciple could easily reach the mazar in 5 minutes. The hotel was also close to all main markets.

The rooms were tiny. They were beautifully designed and had cute little bathrooms. I had the room to myself and could barely walk two steps. It was just meant to be slept in and maybe take a shower in, but if you like spending time in your room, then this room wouldn't cut it for you.

The staff were lovely and helpful. they made you feel like family! The hotel is quirky with amazing Ottoman curios and antiques. Its a small compact hotel with a homely feel. it is within walking distance to Mevlani (Rumis grave and museum) I am disabled and use a walker so for me it was manageable. I loved how being central to shops , restaurants, ATMs and the famous Mosques it was .Rooms are compact and bijou and very clean . The staff sold tickets for the Whirling Dervishes ceremony in a theatre setting but its not a show but a religious ceremony. The staff were so helpful in getting us taxis to the ceremony ( 3 mins away) and bus station which was 20 minutes away. We stayed twice in between our trip to Cappadocia. The breakfast was typically Turkish and plentiful. If I go back to Konya I would love to stay here again. Thankyou for a lovely trip you were so kind and helpful. Special mention to Yunus and Sophia who spoke good English and were super helpful.

I was a bit surprise that on entering the hotel there is a small staircase to reception and the lifts. I managed the stairs ok and my friend carried my walker. Not an issue!

There was something unexpectedly calming about the hotel, maybe it was the nice smell or music, friendly staff or warm colours at the entrance. After quite a drive, we arrived and thanks to the staff we made it to the derwish sema dance. We thought it wasnt on but this is now on every night at the culture centre, about 15 minute walk. Staff arranged the tickets for us. Location near the main square and Mevlana museum accross the road is unbeatable. The kids had a bunk bed in something that looked like a closet, they found that very funny.

What a cozy hotel! It just "feels good" when you walk into the place. It's near many of the places you'd want to go (5 min walk) and they will arrange travel for you to the places you're NOT close to. Helpful and friendly staff who will try to accommodate whatever request you may have. Place feels like it is run by family members (it isn't) but everyone seems to get a long so well that you wonder.

After being in Turkey for several days, I really got a hankering for a traditional Western breakfast: eggs, bacon, toast ... that wasn't available but the breakfast items they did serve -- typical Turkish breakfast -- were great and there was a great variety of local items. Plus, they had Nutella and enough Nutella pretty much overcomes any complaint I might have about breakfast items.

Araf hotel has a lot of character. It’s the perfect place for solo travelers and couples with an immersion in the arts and culture of Konya. It’s just 2 minutes away from Mevlana Muzësi and the main road with lots of local restaurants, shops and banks. Breakfast is typically Turkish and served at the table. Tasty treats but not a full continental breakfast if you’re looking for a full meal. We took a suite with a master bedroom and two bunk beds which are a little small for adults. Tea and coffee is also served in the salon at the reception area anytime. There are no kettles in the room. All in all it was a great place to stay and meet interesting people.

Bunk beds are too small for adults.

Araf Hotel in Konya exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The staff's warmth and friendliness made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was not only beautifully appointed but also reflected the rich cultural heritage of Turkey. Its prime location, close to the tourist area and the bustling bazaar, made exploring the city a breeze. The traditional Turkish breakfast served at the hotel was a culinary delight, offering a tantalizing array of flavours to start our day. Additionally, the artistic shop downstairs added an extra layer of charm and intrigue to our stay. Araf Hotel provided an exceptional experience, seamlessly blending comfort, hospitality, and culture. Highly recommended for a memorable stay in Konya.

While Araf Hotel in Konya offers many positives, such as friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and a great location, I must highlight a drawback regarding the additional bunker beds. As a third adult staying in this space, I found it less than ideal. The lack of a window made the area feel cramped, and the size was insufficient for comfortable accommodation. While it may be suitable for a family with children, I would not recommend it as a triple room option for three adults. This aspect of the accommodation detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The reception room and breakfast room are very artistic and colorful, also welcoming, and it is one of the reasons I chose this hotel. It is very nice to have coffee or tea or simply read a book there. The location is excellent, short walking distance to the Mevlana Museum, basically just right across from the square.

Unfortunately the room is really small which two carry-on luggage could almost take the whole open space. It might be ideal for a solo traveler, a bit tiny for a couple.

The ambiance was truly enchanting, creating a magical atmosphere reminiscent of a fairytale land. The hotel's decor was simply breathtaking, leaving us in awe of its beauty. The breakfast provided was both generous and delicious, offering a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The staff demonstrated exceptional helpfulness, support, and friendliness, ensuring that our stay was as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. The rooms were meticulously clean and extremely comfortable, providing a sanctuary of relaxation after a long day of exploration. The owner, Mr. Omer went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, always inquiring if there was anything else he could do to enhance our experience.
