Everything!!! The hotel has a great location overlooking the beautiful Adriatic Sea. Each room has a balcony where morning coffee is a must. Greenery around the hotel is amazing. Facilities, friendly staff, breakfast, outdoor seating areas, etc. are really great. Buggies are available to transport guests to lower hotel's beach or to the walking path that takes you to amazing city of Cavtat.

The only thing was that some of the guests were "abusing" the system and booking too many sunbeds. Once, I counted 17 beds taken by 3 families (some used in the morning and some in the afternoon), while other guests were laying on the floor. Also, bringing their own music and disturbing others. I would suggest that the hotel needs to develop a system restricting the number of beds / towels per guest and maybe writing some instructions related to noise.

Breakfast was great and especially sitting outside but only if you breakfasted after 7am. Pool area with showers lockers and changing rooms were excellent

We got a bit confused about whether we should be going up and down in the lifts and finding pool etc but soon got the hang of it

The hotel is massive. It was very good value for money. Staff were attentive, the service was very fast in the restaurant and there were a lot of choices for breakfast and dinner. We thought the food was good and varied. The views were amazing and the hotel was a short walk to the centre of cavtat. There was a beautiful walk from the hotel around the peninsula and many places to stop for a swim.

Unfortunately the beach wasn’t open yet even though the weather was good. The prices for soft drinks etc at the bar were expensive and given this is a five star hotel, I would have expected water to be freely available which it wasn’t and it cost 4.80euro for a large bottle!

Great location and facilities, baby friendly hotel. The views from the sea-view room and the restaurant are absolutely stunning!! The rooms are spatious and the attention to detail are spot on (placing a small piece of chocolate by the nightstand every night - very nice!)

Many spaces look very old, especially the main restaurant. Food is mediocre at best, even the paid restaurants use very low quality ingredients. While raw fruits and veggies were usually good, the cooked food was not very tempting. The fact that they didn’t manage to find an iron for the whole duration of our stay was very frustrating.

If you're reading my review, trust me, just proceed with your booking. In my opinion, it is one of the best hotels in the whole Europe, if you take into consideration the location, the quality of service, the view, and the food, not mention the very reasonable room rates. The value for the money is excellent. It is hidden in the woods with many nice walking pathways. The location is perfect, almost 20 min driving to Dubrovnik center, and few minutes walking to the Cavtat village which contains a lot of restaurants over the sea. It's almost 1.5 - 2 hrs driving to Kotor and Tivat ( Montenegro). The room is spacious and sparkling clean. The balcony is spacious as well, with stunning, panoramic views on the sea. The hotel has everything you need for a perfect holiday. A beach (rocks) , excellent food, spa, kids' playground, swimming pools, and tours to Montenegro and Bosnia. The breakfast is good with wide varieties however it closes at 10:30 which is a bit early if you want to enjoy some sleep during your holiday. I liked the active lobby during the evenings with live piano music. The staff are professional and kind. There is free car parking with golf cars that can take you to the parking and the village.

It was a perfect stay, I'd give it a 10/10. However, I had issues with the AC. The room was too warm for me, and there was no cold AC as we were in late April. The lowest temperature in the room I can get was 22-23, which is a bit warm for me, and i could not sleep well. The only choice was to open the windows and suffer the sea waves noise. They told me that AC is central and they can not change it to cool mode as some clients were complaining. They promised me a portable fan , however, I never saw it 😅😅 That was the only complaint.

Fantastic hotel. Seaview with the balcony was something else to wake up to every morning. Facilities were excellent. Golf buggy to get you up the hill after an evening on the harbour front was brilliant. Breakfast was a buffet and it had alot of choices for everyone. The beach area had sunloungers and fresh towels. Staff spoke excellent English and was very helpful. Highly recommended Hotel Croatia. Loads of different areas for drinks and food. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Just that the rooms could do with a new paint work and carpets either deep clean or replaced. But that is the fault we could see. Every other area of the hotel is very clean.

We have just stayed for four nights before moving on to Brac, we really enjoyed our stay. Thought the rooms were very comfortable, we booked classic rooms and they looked out onto the harbour. The hotel is huge and this type of hotel isn’t the sort of place that we would normally choose. The rooms were very quiet, so no disturbance by other guests. It was busy but didn’t feel it, the pools were great with two beach areas, albeit no sand, but you can get in the sea. There is even a return buggy service thrown in to transport you down the hill to the beautiful town of Cavtat. The bar serves iced tap water which is free and safe to drink.. it also serves amazing cocktails too. The breakfasts had a good selection and we thought they were of a good standard. The hotel was built in 1973.. so it’s not super modern, but it’s very nice and it smells amazing. we didn’t use the spa, but I did use the gym, which was great. I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star hotel, but it is still very nice and we would stay again. I couldn’t stay there for two weeks, but I don’t think I could stay in one destination anywhere for two weeks. so if your looking for a holiday in a nice hotel, close to a lovely harbour, this is a good choice. Dubrovnik is literally 20 minutes in the car or you can get the boat from Cavtat.

The room key cards are old technology and kept getting wiped by our mobile phones.. 🙄

This Hotel is in a stunning location and the ability to sit in the sun on the rocks over looking the Sea is beautiful. Cavtat town has beautiful scenery and great restaurants with friendly staff. Boot rides into Dubrovnik are frequent and reasonable at 20euros P/P. takes about 40 mins with a couple of pick ups but the ride along the coast has some stunning views. Breakfast caters for all and if you wish to have a meal in the hotel the steak restaurant id highly recommend.

Only criticism is maybe the hotel could put complementary water in the rooms, but that's the only negative from 7days.

Lovey setting. Lovely clean, warm sea and no jellyfish! Cavtat very pretty and perfectly situated to visit Dubrovnik by boat taxi (45 mins)/20 Euros return. Good wide ranging breakfasts. Very big hotel 1000 guests/500 rooms so big operation. Super outdoor and indoor swimming pools just the right size, warmth and depth and well organised beach operation below hotel. Plenty of places to eat out/lovely sunsets.

Better to go on a Package tour as transfers from the airport an absolute rip off. Only 10min drive to airport but locals have deliberately avoided instituting a bus service to Cavtat to support taxi drivers +. Hotel limo pick up on arrival 24 Euros!!! Taxi on way back a mere 20 Euros. What a con. The Bus Service from Cavtat all the way to Dubrovnik (1 hour) was only 8 Euros return. Hotel Croatia should have a minibus and regular airport shuttle, at a sensible price. Quite an oversight for such an upmarket establishment.
