Beautiful located Hotel near the Wasserkuppe. Pool was great to use for us and the children after a day of travelling. Facilities and rooms were clean, quiet and quite neat. We did like the hotel a lot and probaly will return next year.

We needed to book 2 rooms as we are a family of five, but got rooms at opposite sides of the hotel, which might have been disturbing for other guests. The hotel could have handles this much better. Also parking was not free, which is not a problem as such, but there are not other options for parking and enough space. We did like the hotel a lot, but staff was somehow lame though friendly and polite.

Pretty location. The family room was perfect for us and our two children. It was spacious and the kids loved their little room. They loved wearing the bathrobes and enjoying the water in special glasses. It was great to have a kettle in the room for a tea while getting ready. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The whole hotel was clean and very well presented. The guest is well catered for and the price was so reasonable. The buffet breakfast was good value and had a great selection of food and drinks. It was good to have fruit on offer. Of all the places we stayed in Europe this was our favourite as many small details have been provided to make guests comfortable. We have already suggested this hotel to others.

It was summer and a little stuffy as there is no air conditioning. Once I opened the balcony door at 3am it was much better. A fan would help to circulate the air. The buffet dinner was a bit expensive and only one option for dessert (mousse). If simple drinks were included it would be better value for a family. The curtain for the kids room was problematic but we eventually got it to close and they slept well. Room 117. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent quiet location , nice beds , great restaurants and a clean swimming pool .. also the bathroom had been modernized which was very nice . Super staff all departments .

Wasn’t fully renovated looked very dated in some places especially the outside and the balconies . The parking is paid but not secure not ideal for motorcycles .

The food was excellent. The chef we had is a great Spanish fellow who cooked our salmon to perfection (just sadly that for the days they had a buffet it gets dry after being heated for some time, when you are unlucky). The staff was kind & helpful. And the Rhön (hill/mountain) area is a beautiful place.

The wifi had very poor signal strength, I had between 0 and 1 bar in our room when I had my back against the wall, and non if I took 1 step away from the wall. And my spouse had non at all in the room. Wifi worked fine in the restaurant lobby or near the lift, but go passed a wall and no wifi.

Good spacious suite for a family of four and a dog. Very dog friendly. Big bathroom with fantastic water pressure. Loved the pool and sauna. Very good breakfast. This was a stopover our way to Austria, but what a great place. We had a lovely walk up to the Wassekuppe and watched the hang gliders. We had dinner at The pub up the road. Very friendly. Beware they only take cash.

Traditional style. Very nice pool area. Great rooms. Nice staff.

The food was not good (dinner). Smoke in the room via the open balcony door (smoke from other guests). But owing to hot weather we had to have our balcony door open. Thus awoken by the nasty smell of smoke in the morning

We loved the situation of this hotel and the very confortable old fashion room ; please, don’t change it ! We appreciated the large window on the balcony and the view on the landscape. We found it very pleasant to be able to do hiking directly from the hotel door (to the Wasserkuppe and the lake Guckaisee).

We ate at the evening buffet and there is obviously a problem of managing all this : - at 7:45 pm, there was a lack of many things and no more dessert at all (we had to go to the frontdesk showing photos of the empty plates to get a reaction !). - We also think that frozen bread is unappropriated for breakfast (the wholemeal bread).

Anice quiet location in the country side. big comfterbel room, tea pot with tea bags and coffee, warm that was nice and welcoming with the cold wearher outside.

The lady that chacked us in didn't speak Englidh and that was not welcoming. A sharp odore of gazoling when entering the coridor.

The room smelt a bit. I didn‘t appreciate the hidden parking costs, but that may have been booking.com‘s fault.

We were made very welcome and the restaurant staff were very good indeed. The rooms were very clean and inviting.
