The hotel was superbly located for the beach, there was a Macdonalds next door and a conviniance store nearby also. Room was clean tidy and quiet. Had a wonderful view of the sea. Staff on the desk were 1st class, friendly and very helpful. I would have no issues returning at all. I really enjoyed my stay.

Ok to the prices per night varied by quite a lot depending on where you looked. Also there was a 26usd charge per night fir "breakages" which turned out to non refundable! This put the total price up in line with the Hyatt and other premier hotels. I thought it was a bit if a stealth charge to be fair and while i didnt mind paying it i was a bit surprised that it was non refundable after a room check so that was the only down side.

The location was amazing and beautiful, we had a partial view room but you can see a lot of the ocean anyways. Cleaning was great and trustworthy during our stay and even came back after we had said not today as we didn’t want to be an inconvenience. The staff was very nice and they gave us small welcome gifts upon arrival. Check in was quick and easy and you can only access floors with the key card which feels very safe. It was literally across the street from the beach and all of the stores were near by.

The room was just a little small for a family of 4 adults and the shower was tiny but not a big deal since we’re out doing activities most of the day so it was perfect for us. The only other thing was the tv was a little outdated and was cutting out a little but again we do not stay in the room throughout the day so it wasn’t a big issue.

This was an excellent choice for our stay in Honolulu. We got a room with a sea view even though not requested. The hotel offered everything we needed and expected. I also appreciated the fact that the hotel seemed to hire employees with disabilities, which is a nice social responsibility gesture. In addition, everyone was kind and service-minded.

We were a bit unlucky regarding the particular time of our stay which happened to coincide with the Honolulu Marathon! The race started at 3 am and the main area happened to be just on the beach right in front of all the hotels, so you can imagine the disturbance from the music, pep-talk and cheering crowds and excited participants. Despite the lack of sleep, still happy with our choice and hope the Marathon went well for everyone.

The staff is amazing, the views fantastic, 30 steps from Kuhio Beach!!!! Easy to shop, eat, swim, walk. The location is perfect. Rooms are not huge but just fine when out most of the day. Fantastic shopping and restaurants close by. Sunsets, safe beach, just perfect.

The room was bright and clean with coffee on hand. The balcony and the view was top notch. It was across the street so noise from the street and AC units didn’t allow us to hear the crashing waves but the view made up for that during the day.

The property’s sitting area was laughable. They did have water available for free. So, if you’re looking for a resort to hang out around this is not for you. But if all you need is a room with a view and close to everything sign up now. The price was affordable for what you got.

You get a 5 star view at a 3 star price as long as you pay a little more and have the beach view which we did, amazing view I would highly recommend this hotel for it's location and views. Avoid the restaurant downstairs near the lobby

This is an iconic Waikiki hotel in a central location, right across from a great swimming beach and a two minute walk to the Duke statue. Make sure to check out one of the Sunrise Shack locations nearby if you are looking for a healthy snack or pick me up. I enjoyed reading about the founders story, a female Chinese immigrant who moved to Oahu when she was 12 and later went on to property early on, including this location.

The hotel is a little dated which did not bother me too much, it would have been worth it to be up a little higher (we were on the second floor) for the views. There was a mentally deranged person in a nearby room shouting in the morning, not sure that can be blamed on the hotel but it did go on for a few hours.

Sean (Front Registration Manager) was exceptional! I booked this stay for my mother and son to visit family. They could have stayed at family houses although, I wanted my son who is 12, to have access to the beach for part of their stay. Sean was amazing speaking to me a week before their vistit. He also spoke to me a day before their visit and was very accommodating. He truly made me feel at ease in making this a seamless process since I paid in advance for their room.

Nothing! They loved the room and view! My mom is 77 years old and was born in Hawaii. I was born there too, and we left when I was 7. We have tons of family on the island on both sides of my mom and dad. This was a treat that I did for my son and my mother during a summer visit. We will surely stay with you again!

Location is great! Where everything is happening! Stores all nearby! The hotel itself is outdated but the full view of beach is what made up for it. Even a tiny bit of updates would be wonderful! The staff you have is GREAT! Theyre all so friendly and hospitable. Parking is not the greatest if you don't get a spot there. We were lucky there was a spot available but we needed to rent a car because we attended a wedding. parking was also about $45/day! yikes, pretty steep. Otherwise, if you're just planning to taxi to hotel and beach all day not needing to rent a car, no worries about the parking. Restaurant gets the place pretty busy too, Eggs n Things- its right next to the hotel and crowd forms waiting for reservations. I'd stay here again.

Per night parking fee and limited parking spots. Could get a little update on property rooms. Rooms were still pretty dusty-maybe room wasn't used often recently? Little knats in bathroom shower stall so I'm assuming it was empty for some time.
