Most of the staff were exceptional. The rooms were exactly what we wanted. Access to the stadium pool at Circa was such a bonus. Proximity to Fremont was amazing!

Paige at the front desk needs more training. She wasn’t helpful or informative. The trainee who was working with her was very interested in helping us have a great experience. Paige was not. She openly stated that she put us in less desirable rooms that stayed noisy until 2 am (we loved the location, and were so tired from walking the strip, we slept right through the late music). Luckily, Kevin the manager came along and said all the things Paige should have said. He was helpful, kind, and made no assumptions about us based on our bedraggled appearance after our exhausting drive from Wisconsin.

The area was nice. Right on the strip.

The parking is across the street. The way out of parking is bad as well. We checked out, then went to the car and couldn't get out of the parking lot without our card. Guard couldn't check us out, so we had to wait and found a man with his hotel card to get us out. Don't do what we did. Turn in your card after you get out of the parking lot.

We had 4 rooms booked total in our group and the staff did their best putting us close to each other as possible. We love that the hotel was right on Fremont Street and we even loved it more that one of our room window open up to the view of Fremont Street with the performing stage and full of people enjoying Fremont. Don't worry, even though the room window open wide to Fremont Street it doesn't get loud or busy until later so yes u CAN sleep in or you just go and do your thing all day and come back to your hotel rest up shower and get ready to party for the night right on Fremont Street... If you like music and loud crowds, we hope you get the Fremont Street Experience view!!! We loved our stay! Thank you to Golden Gate manager for being very flexible and accommodating to us. Thank you! Will definitely stay again.

The first room that we got placed in was so tight and small, like we were in a box with no window or air (there was window). It was sophisticating and I literally could that breath for the 1-2 minutes I was in there. So we went down and asked to be switch and the manager wanted us to pay $20 extra per night to put us in a different room. I'm like I don't a fancier room I just want a different room where I can breathe in. So in the end, he did switched us to another room which was so much better. Thank you Lord, I can now breathe! :) (He even said if this room still don't work we will try a different room. Thank God that it worked out.)

The property was in such a convenient location! I’ve never stayed on Fremont street before and it was the best decision ever. I was there for a wedding party where we all booked to stay at the same place and you would think one elevator would be bad but I never waited more than 1 minute to get on the elevator. John Price is the best at Golden Gate he went above and beyond for me and the group I was with! Also, you have access to stadium swim which is the best place ever!

No complaints! People I told I was staying there said it was an old hotel but to me it didn’t feel outdated at all.

The downtown location is great ! Fremont Street Experience is super now a days. The location is centered amongst some super fine dinning. I just love it. The atmosphere made my skin crawl! I was so comfortable, unbelievable. There was a super view of the pool next door, whooa! The gaming was plentiful, the dealers were fresh....... The sound of music was everywhere !!!

I had too leave after my stay....I wish I could have stayed even longer, and enjoyed more. The patrons and people were much fun to watch.. Thank you so very much.....

We were comped the Penthouse at our arrival. This was a very pleasant and welcomed surprise as we were visiting Golden Gate to celebrate our 3rd year wedding anniversary. The Penthouse was the absolute best room we've ever had the pleasure of staying in, anywhere. Very Luxurious, Spacious and Awesome. We can only hope to be able to stay in the penthouse once again later on in life. Such an awesome experience. Thank you Golden Gate for doing that for us.

Honestly can't think of anything we didn't like. There wasn't an instruction manual (LOL) for the room, and there were a lot of switches everywhere that we had to figure out what they went to, but that was also part of the experience in my opinion.

Location is the best. Lots to do and see. Bands every night for entertainment. Bus was easy to find, and the drivers answered any question we had. This is our second time at this resort, and I will come back again

Room is big and clean. Good comfort bed. Location is right next to the busy, festive old downtown Vegas area (not the strip but still very fun to walk outside --> there's a negative also). I have a rental car (self-parking is free --> this saves you $30-40). Staff are good and helpful.

Since it's next to the busy festive downtown, there are lots of noises, partying music, drums. You will hear loud music even at 1am. The hotel is brother hotel to Circa (newer one) so you can use their gym and pool facilities. But many guests don't know it or no clear instruction, it's also not easy to find. I never get a chance to use.

Located right at the start of Fremont Street by the Main Stage, you can easily walk out the casino and boom you are right in the party! Also, you're close to public transit so it is easy to bus it down to the strip if you want. The room was comfy, if small, but it IS the original hotel on Fremont Street. Pretty cool feature, they mark in the hallway where the original building and rooms are and where the addition is. The bed was super comfortable, tv is fine, wifi worked perfectly well (we logged into our own YoutubeTV to watch some NCAA football). The room had a refrigerator, no microwave or coffee pot. Ice machine worked fine and was centrally located, and we were weirdly impressed with the vending machine. It had the usual snack and beverage fares, but it also dispensed personal care items ranging from OTC drugs and hygiene to sexual health/protection. We just found this to be a thoughtful touch for those that might be in immediate need.

The shower in the room took 10 minutes to go from glacier to inferno and if you tried to adjust from melt your skin off it went immediately back to deep freeze. Trying a millimeter adjustment again and 5 minutes later you'll get blast furnace output water. I'm trying to say temp control in the shower is non existent. Better to fill the tub with the lava water and let it cool down. Really, this was the only bummer, but we adjusted for our 2 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed it!

I got a lot of help at unloading my car from Jon and parking my car in the parking lot thanks again. On checking in Gregory and I need ear plugs he was helpful in giving me some . Thank you it really helped. Last I couldn’t find my room and didn’t notice that I was trying to get in a suite. The manager came to help me get to the right room. I was so tired from my long drive I need help🤪

The music was way too loud and waking up at 6:30am to leave. Could understand how the people that work there could put up with that it was very uncomfortable for me and thinking if I had to come to work with the music, 🎶 I couldn’t.
