Convenience location and accessibility

To have to pay for early check in. It's a first for us since we always get a complimentary early check in and not pay $30. Also, not clear how the tank h2o works and fitness but it seems they also charge you $40-$45 per day to access it? It's our first time to encounter that everything has to be paid extra. Still having second thoughts about coming back or using another hotel due to additional charges

I loved that it was right on Fremont as that was the reason for our trip. Everything was clean and nice.

I was bummed when I realized we had to pay so much to get into the pool. I wish there was at least a discount for people staying in the hotel. We ended up not going into the pool area because it was too expensive.

Room was amazing. Staff interaction was exceptional! Overall cleanliness was top notch!

Time set for check in was too late. And the 50$ charge seems a little high. Although we weren't charged that since we chose an upgrade. But for future stays would like the option for earlier checkin.

Always stay here when I visit because it's used priced fair.

The room was not as clean as it should have been. Stain on duvet and used earplugs on the floor on the side of the bed.

Comfortable beds, good heat/AC, room had plenty of space. Pool was very nice, and water slide was an adventure. Location right downtown was a big plus.

Bathroom looked like it could use a refresh. Several rust spots on tub and around door. Shower control knob was wobbly and hard to adjust. Wished we had a frig and microwave, but a room with a frig would have cost $30 more per night, and we were told that no microwaves were available in the hotel. Finally, I felt that the $44 per day resort fee was excessive, considering we didn't use any of the resort features except for one short swim in the pool.

Location is great, right in the middle of Fremont St, it is probably the busiest and most crowded hotel but also one of the nicest.

There was a fire in one of the rooms in our tower and there was no intercom warning telling us to evacuate, we had no idea what was going on but loud noises woke us up at 2 am. I finally called the front desk and was told to evacuate.. NOT ACCEPTABLE luckily we were only on the 3rd Floor and right by the stairs, the fire was on the 11th. Floor so were able to go back to our room at 4:30am still not being told anything.. apparently it was started by a vape pen left on the bed.. The fire did destroy 2 or more rooms.. They definitely need a better system Oh and we had crickets in our room!!! 2 Crickets.. That's a first..

When the reservation was made, I wasn't told that there would be some kind of whoop de do event going on and that I would pay 5 times higher room rate. And the joker at check in acted like I should have been aware of this convention going on. When I do come to Vegas I always stay at the Nugget, but I haven't been there much since 2020. Anyway, I was PISSED to pay $500 for this room. And the guy at check in, you shouldn't assume anything about your customers

We were right off of Fremont street so there was a wide range of choices, not only an hour hotel but with in walking distance. Everywhere we ate was delicious.

The pool was way over crowded the water was cloudy and murky. It was very hard to find a place to sit, and leave our stuff. The pool looked so awesome it's the shark tank pool that was just always too crowded and we were there during the week too. The slide one day wasn't in operation. I picked this hotel because of the pool and I was very disappointed. And we had a non smoking room and our room smelled like cigarettes the whole time we were there even after I complained.

We stay at the Golden Nugget every year. We love the location. Staff is helpful and very curious. Rooms are clean and the hotel is kept very very clean. Food is great..... especially at the pool. Love the pool that's why we come each year. Room service is great and house keeping is on point. And prices are good. Food prices and common goods prices seem to be very high. Would like to see that come down a bit.

The beds in our room seem to need an upgrade. Seemed a little worn out. And the tub shower and bathroom floor is very slippery and there is a grab bar in the shower but it seems like it is in the wrong spot. Tub has an angle inside that makes showering slippery when standing. Would like to see that changed. And there is nothing to hang on to when getting out of the tub shower.

Not the first time we've stayed here so we knew what to expect. For an extra $30 we upgraded and that was well worth it. The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet, we felt very safe and the pool and casino were great.

Once we dropped our luggage awaiting early check in (which we also paid extra for) we were told our luggage would be taken to our room. It was not and when requested, it was simply handed to us. The VIP check in line was also 8 miles long with guests trying to ask all their questions in that line instead of the standard check in line so it took a while. Poolside drinks were also astronomically expensive. That's fine for guests who purchase day passes who are not staying on the hotel grounds but for guests of the hotel it seemed steep for an old Vegas property.
