No heat in the rooms

We were looking for the hotel to stay with the family during NY eve. Hotel is located not far from the city center, in a quiet area. Room where we lived was just huge - three rooms and big corridor. There is a conditioner and a heater. So for us and our two kids there was more then enough space.

There is no shower curtain in the bathroom - so when you take the shower all water is on the floor and you have to clean it with towels. Also there was no cleaning service during three days, towels weren't changed.

The staff was very accommodative and kind: got me extra blankets, allowed me to store food in their refrigerator, fixed a broken drawer , provided extra paper etc. I even bought two cool jugs from their kitchen ! flashy Neo Jugendstil design of the hotel - nice design ! we got a deluxe suite since the normal were finished . comfortable bed and ac!

there was no internet at the hotel even though I was promised it on booking.com. I was taken to a conference area to connect but it didn’t work- had I not had computer from my phone to the computer, I would have lost a business deal! this brings down the rating to a seven instead of a ten!

Location is nice,the staff was very friendly.

Old towels,no slippers,cold and big room,no kettle,TVset didn't work.

1. Bed sheets were not changed after previous guest. Cockroaches in bathroom. 2. Light bulbs don't work. 3. No spare roll of toilet paper 4. One AC for two rooms. It provides no cooling to the bedroom. 5. Restaurant is just miserable 6. Receptionist is not there 24/7. You need to catch them. 7. No fire extinguishers. Escape plan is dark brown on light brown. Imagine to read it in the darkness. The place is not cheap at all comparing to other hotels in the city.

One chair in room for two people without little desk. Bed linen has not been changed since the previous guest.

Hotel is in 15min walking distance from the city center. Spacious room.

Hotel requires renovation. Bed sheets and towels are worn out. No slippers in the room. We were charged for slippers. Cleaning in the Bathroom is of low quality. Hair in the bathtub, bath tap was with flakes and not shining. It was cold in the room. Personal is slow and not proactive. I asked in the evening to prepare the invoice to avoid delay upon check out. In the morning my invoice wasn’t ready and I was supposed to wait for it.

bad smell, ants in the bathroom, grey colour towels with holes, dark lights (just 1 out of 6 bulbs working), table lamp not working.
