Beautiful peaceful location.. Pretty cottage.. Amazing plentiful fresh breakfast.. Host Ray was so lovely an extremely pleasant man very helpful and accommodating went out of his way to help us with a few things and was a good source of information.. Room was clean fresh and welcoming even lovely biscuits and small chocolate bar on refreshment tray and beautiful fresh wildflowers in vase on dressing table.. And small fridge with fresh milk in wardrobe

Nothing much at all.. If I had to put something i would just say TV with Internet a little intermittent but hardly surprising for country location.. It was not a major issue at all.. Also couldn't find Ray to say goodbye and thank you to after we loaded our car after breakfast which Was a shame.. So thank you Ray hope to see you again in the future

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The setting is beautiful and peaceful. The facilities were excellent and well-maintained. One of The breakfast has to be one of the best B&B breakfasts! Everything was fresh, delicious, and prepared with care. The hosts were friendly, attentive, and responsive throughout my stay. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and well-run place to stay.

Oh my good, what can i say, apart from we loved this place,a bit out the way, but it was well worth it,their wasn't anything we didn't like, a nice piecefull little cottage tucked away, expectional Hosting,we very greatful for all the extras we had, nothing was to much touble at all, very friendly and very welcoming, our room was very comfy and very pretty, The breakfast was one of the best we have had in our stays away,the tables were laid out ready Perfectly, like i said we could not fault this little hidden Gem 😁

Stunning, peaceful location with beautiful gardens to wander through. Decor modern and well equipped. Loved watching the birds feed outside the window in the morning. The breakfast was delicious and so much of it, with good quality ingredients. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you. Would stay again. They also have a stunning 2 bedroom treehouse in the gardens that we may try.

Only downside for us was the mattress. It was sprung and any time one of us moved, it bounced the other one about!

Met Ray & Ann in the garden, and from that moment on they could not do enough for us. Ray took our bags to the room and got us settled. The cottage is set in lovely grounds with walks around the grounds. Breakfast, OMG if you go hungry it's your own fault, Ray was keen to cook things to your taste, and make sure you had everything you wanted. Ray was knowledgeable about the local area and was very helpful guiding us around. All in all, great place, great host, great location. A very enjoyable break, will definitely stay again if heading back down the west country. Thanks Ray & Ann

Lovely 8 night stay at Kingsley Cottage. We really liked our rooms and the thoughtful finishing touches (biscuits with the tea and coffee, extra bird seed for the bird feeders), plus Ray's lovely cooked breakfasts and trip suggestions. Our kids loved the cats, and the hidden swing. There's also a zip wire, but we didn't get a chance to try it as we were out during the day.

Prior to our stay we sent over some enquiries and received very prompt and friendly replies with helpful information (follow Ray & Anne's advice about satnav directions). The cottage is set in a tranquil location, easy to find, with parking on site. We were greeted by Ray who showed us where we would have breakfast the following day, and then to our room which overlooked woodland from the side window and the wooded bank and treehouses to the rear, with bird feeder hung over the Juliet balcony. We were going out again to meet family, and were given the front door key for access later that evening. The room was comfortable, clean, and peaceful, with great facilities including a kettle, large mugs, cafetiere and fresh coffee, plus instant coffee, a variety of tea, and biscuits, plus fresh milk in the fridge on the landing. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, though the bed was a little creaky : / In the cosy breakfast room there was a lovely woodburner. Ray provided a superb breakfast, absolutely delicious, with more than we could eat which set us up for the day ahead. We would highly recommend Kingsley Cottage, a wonderful place to stay.

The only slight issue was a creaky bed, although perfectly comfortable for sleeping : )

Wonderful and beautiful place! The hosts couldn't be more friendly and they really make you feel welcome. The little details like the fresh flowers in the room, the welcome present, the chocolates, biscuits, tea and coffee in the room (even fresh milk!!) really make a difference and makes this place extra special. The breakfast is very good and plentiful with a lot of different things to choose from. The surroundings are beautiful and we loved the fact that there was birdfood outside of our window so we were able to enjoy watching the birds eat. Ray and Anne really went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible, which we are very grateful for. We 100% recommend this place!

We loved absolutely EVERYTHING!!!

The idyllic home is nestled in the quiet village of Black Torrington, Devon. We were greeted on arrival by our hosts Ray and Anne who helped us with our luggage. The accommodation was very comfortable and immaculately clean. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds in the morning and especially enjoyed the excellent full scale English breakfast cooked for us each morning! We cannot recommend Kingsley Cottage enough.

I have stayed in quite a few properties over the last few years and this one is at the top. Rays attention to detail and extra thought with the little things makes it stand out. The breakfast was also amazing and set us up for the day. Would recommend and will definitely be coming back when in the area.
