Fantastic, quiet, peaceful and beautiful location. We were able to check in early and our room was excellent, very clean, with great facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly and provided fresh milk and water. They were also able to provide a charger for my EV at a good price which was very convenient and I was able to leave my car charging during the day. The breakfast was superb with a lovely table at the window looking out onto the fields. A lovely stay and I would recommend it.

It would have been helpful to have quick summary of the bedroom facilities including how the electronic blind worked on the velux window, which we only worked out in the morning, but it didn't spoil our sleep. Also, it took a moment to work out how to close the shutters and use the shower curtain in the ensuite.

Great location for our needs. Spacious and comfortable bedroom. Good food.

Timing of breakfast was almost a problem but was resolved by the staff. They had a limit of six people for breakfast at 8.30, the first sitting on Sunday morning. We were not offered a choice and told we would couldn’t eat at our chosen time - which would have meant no breakfast at all as we were under time pressure. Fortunately it was resolved.

The location is a lovely quiet rural gastro pub with accommodation in a separate building in the grounds. The rooms were tastefully decorated and of good size. Friendly staff and we will likely book again next time we go to visit the Thursford Christmas spectacular which is a 25 minute drive away.

Limited staff so the people serving in the bar or dining area of the pub also have to act as reception. To check out we had to go and find the girl who served us breakfast.

Wonderful room (Windum). Particularly enjoyed the access to the garden with table/chairs for late afternoon relaxing. Very helpful staff. Ate dinner in the main restaurant - it was well worth doing so. We appreciated the electric skylight blind.

It would have been even better if the rooms had a mini fridge; particularly useful for those staying more than 1 night.

Pub and garden looks lovely and spacious. The evening dinner was excellent. Staff very attentive, relaxed and friendly.

Breakfast was disappointing and unwelcoming. Single staff was flustered and inattentive. As far as coffee and tea goes. I don't mind making my own tea, but not faffing around with flasks with water too cold in it to make a decent cuppa or heat a tea pot up first. Set up an urn and good coffee machine instead, please.

The pub is a typical country pub but the dining rooms were decorated to a very high standard and were very good taste in my opinion - it was obvious a lot of thought had gone into the design of everything. The two rooms we booked in the purpose built buildings outside the pub were beautiful with great attention to detail. The gardens and outside areas were beautifully looked after and so the whole site is very attractive and appealing, Lovely staff - all extremely helpful and friendly

Lovely pub very ambient. Would like to see the fire lit as you walk in. Nothing bleaker than an empty hearth on a cold wet day. Really enjoyed our dinner,but it was just huge! A bit too much for us,but in saying that 100% times better than some of the minuscule meals we have been served ,while dining out recently. Our room was nice,and a lovely bathroom,but it would be nice to have had some side lamps for a more cosy feel.

Nothing particularly ,we did have someone else’s drinks on our bill,but these things happen,and the member of staff dealt well with it. (Hopefully they got the money from whoever the Glenfidich and the gin were for 🤦‍♀️)

Stayed in the 'Hunny' room, which is spacious and nicely presented. The bed is huge and wonderfully firm. The food we enjoyed on the night of our arrival was excellent. No cooked breakfast available on Monday or Tuesday mornings, the 'continental' breakfast option was okay, nothing special.

The 'continental' breakfast option was nothing special. A single cup of coffee was offered, with no offer or facilities to refill. Also the cheese/meat/fruit platter was served too cold - direct from the fridge.

Our stay at The Brisley Bell was an absolute pleasure, the Inn, staff, restaurant, food and accommodation were all first class. We would stay here again without hesitation. The warm fires and Christmas decorations made the atmosphere even better - particularly as storm Darragh was raging outside!

There isn't anything negative to say about our stay.
