Clean room. Lift was handy. Parking easy and friendly reception lady. Okay place if you don’t have a pet. Breakfast was fine and carvery was not bad.

Not very pet friendly but more in the facilities they have. Room is fine. A very basic area for you to eat so could be made to feel more comfortable. When you order a meal at the bar to go into restaurant for food they forget to bring you cutlery so you try to get yourself with a sour faced chap moans at you if you try to remove from a table. There was a lounge on the 1st floor for hotel guests, but due to function, it could not be used. You feel you are paying country hotel prices but get a travel lodge with a carvery attached. Not saying it is bad but wished we could have found a different place to stay.

Carvery was good. Breakfast okay. Chef was nice as he gave me lots of turkey for my wee dog. Breakfast staff were good and layer table for us.

Was very basic hotel like a Travel lodge with no comftable seating areas if with you dog. Ordered carvery but no one from restaurant come and gave you knifes and forks, etc. just felt left out because we had a dog. Room they did have for guests was being used by people who were having a function so would have been busy. Not saying hotel was bad but very expensive to stay there.

The staff were absolutely amazing!! They were so helpful and so kind. The food was beautiful!! I would love to go back again, whenever. Raj, Ramita, Roz, Shannon, The waiters and waitresses in the restaurant, Jason, and the list goes on!! No doubt I have missed out a name or two, and for that, I sincerely apologise. Keep going!! Hotel central and withing walking distance for everything in the town and quiet area round about. Staff were great friendly and helpful in hotel nothing was too much trouble. Good information about dog friendly areas in Stornoway. Hotel was clean and tidy.

Skylight in double room was draughty and noisy as was catching the wind which was made even worse with the blind closed. Dog very unsettled due to the noise. Bed very soft and when 2 people lying on it rolled together. Staff in restaurant were busy on the night but waited around 20 minutes trying to get hold of someone for drinks at table but ended up paying bill and leaving.

On arrival the receptionist was very helpful. Told us how to find the restaurant. Assured us continental breakfast would be readywhen we had to leave (5:30 am as we were catching the Ullapool ferry.)

Crazy bath-shaped showers - worst of both worlds: couldn't run a bath except by waiting for the shower to fill it, and danger of slippimg / difficulty stepping in/out, for those of us older or with mobility issues. Understaffed at breakfast time. The night porter was coping with a bus load departing for the same ferry + other guests and had not had time to start the coffee machine -for me the critical item for breakfast that early.

! Reception staff very helpful. Nice residents lounge . Didn't have dinner but everyone who did was very happy. And hotel is situated right in Centre of town so convenient for ferry / shopping or eating out.

Nothing to do with hotel as such but as now seems to be normal in Scotland guests seem unable to close doors quietly when coming and going ! It's literally Bang ! Bang! Slam! whether late at night or early morning.! Never had this problem in France / Germany / Austria...

Really close to the ferry terminal and in the city center. If you arrive with the last ferry no problem the reception is always open and ready for the late check in (I’ve called them in the afternoon to inform them I’ll arrive late). There was also a possibility to get a little bite in the room from the kitchen has the restaurant was closed. breakfast is really good. There is a private parking just next to the hotel. I asked to make a new reservation for the end of the week as a was taking the ferry to go back on the mainland and the staff was really helpful to book me a room.

At night it can be a bite noisy but I’ve stayed 3 nights and a part from the first night the others were really calm.

The staff in the restaurant were totally brilliant, and did everything possible to help us. My friend has some food allergies, and is difficult to feed, but they definitely went the extra mile. Food was excellent, VERY comprehensive breakfast, and good choice through the rest of the day. Top restaurant. The Hotel receptionist was also very kind and helpful. Plenty of parking beside hotel

My first night was in a single ‘skylight’ room, which was a rather gloomy, and no window. I moaned to the receptionist, who kindly moved me to a much nicer room with a large window. So, beware of single, economy, skylight rooms.

The room was a great size with 2 chairs and comfy beds. Location is extremely good for ferry and Stornoway town with ample parking for guests. There is also an excellent cafe just down the street that is open 7 days a week and a restaurant next door.

The checkout time of 11am is inconvenient especially when the Hebridean Celtic Festival is on.

Very nice modern and clean hotel in Stornaway, located in walking distance of Tesco and small downtown and close to ferry. Bright bedroom with sky light. Restaurant was a bright large space for breakfast and dinner, but minimal decoration or charm. Hotel was probably best facility in town.

Very pricey, but then again no real cheap hotels in Stornaway. Hotel seems built to welcome large bus tours from the mainland. Not much charm, but very clean and modern.
