The breakfasts were superb, beautifully cooked, set you up for the day and plenty of choice. The location worked well for me as I was travelling on foot and by bus. Lathamor is app. 40 mins walk or ten mins ride from the centre of Stornoway and there is a bus stop just down the road. Convenient for the bus routes around the rest of the island. Helen offers really excellent evening meals on request, and she is an exceptionally good cook. Really recommend. I don't normally give 'excellent' ratings, but Lathamor certainly deserves them. Helen is a most friendly and helpful host, keeps the room scrupulously clean, always there for her guests without ever being inrusive.

There was nothing not to like.

It was immaculately clean and our beds were really comfortable. We had a separate bathroom which was ginormous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Massive bath a huge separate shower. Downstairs guests have a beautiful large lounge/diner to use. The breakfast was superb and there was plenty of choice and nothing was too much trouble. We had a packed lunch made for us and an evening meal is also on offer. The use of the washing machine is also available at no extra cost. Helen is a super host and a really really lovely friendly lady. When my sister and I go back to the Isle of Lewis we will be staying at Lathamor again 1000%. 💕

A beautiful accommodation, perched in an ideal location. Views are superb Property is a very high standard along with all the facilities. Food is marvelous. The owners are friendly and welcoming. They have a vast amount of knowledge about many things and you can see they have put a great deal of effort in to assure you of everything you shall need. A wonderful couple, who also have an amazing family, whom we got the chance to meet and chat. My wee dog was treated very well also. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anybody and we certainly shall be looking to return.

A bit unimpressive from the outside, but really a nice place inside. The room was good, and there is a lounge with beautiful views and a table for all people for breakfast and (if you like) dinner. Breakfast was fabulous, with all choices you can imagine. It's nice to meet the other guests there. You can order dinner, and Helen makes a fantastic meal. Situated a bit outside Stornoway, so you need a car to get anywhere from here. Very quiet place.

Helen, our hostess, was lovely and very accommodating. We had a large bedroom with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was compact but had everything we needed. We had views across the moors which were lovely. The breakfasts were great. And, bless her, she gave us freshly baked cup cakes in the morning which we ate on the ferry.

Nothing to do with Helen or the accommodation but if you are around on Sundays or Mondays, it is difficult to find restaurants open. So BOOK. Don't expect 5 * meals either but the food is ok. We went to the same restaurant for each night as it was the only one that seemed to be open and we had to eat at 5.30 on the first night as they were booked solid. Otherwise, Helen offers evening meals. And I hear they are good !! We were not impressed by Stornoway but ... go to the Castle as the museum is exceptional !!!

Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The best sausages, bacon and delicious Stornaway black pudding. There was also a huge fruit salad to share and yummy croissants.The best breakfast we have ever had.Helen the host was so helpful, knowledgeable about where to visit and so kind. 5 stars in my opinion ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We could not fault anything at Lathamor.Everything exceeded our expectations.

Host was wonderful, friendly, helpful. Breakfast was delicious as was the optional dinner. Room was small but had a large window and comfortable common rooms downstairs. Rooms were upstairs, but handicap accessible if needed. A short walk to the bus stop and easy bus ride into town.

Great location just outside of Stornoway. Easy place to use as a base for exploring the Isle of Lewis and Harris. We had a triple and the room and bathroom were spacious enough that we didn't feel cramped while all of us were in the room. Breakfast was great and super filling! Helen was great from the time we arrived, she was super helpful in suggesting places to see. She even made sure to pack us sandwiches before our ferry ride back to Ullapool since we were going to miss breakfast. If you are lucky enough to find availability here, book it, you won't regret it!

The location is fine provided you have a car. Helen is a treasure, and cooks a wonderful breakfast and dinner if you so require. The double bedrooms with bathroom are very comfortable and easy to settle in. A lounge and dining room are at your disposal.

Close to everything. Room was fantastic and set up perfectly for two people. Super clean. Above all, Helen the host was AMAZING!! She’s so sweet and the breakfast was amazing. Would love to come back again because it was so nice.
