it was good in that we hired a car from the motel. they came to fetch us from the ferry . The cars were in really good condition. The room was a typical motel room , clean,comfort and we had a nice view over the harbour. The breakfast offered more than we expected such as ,pastries,cereal,boiled eggs,toast fruit and coffee and tea . They dropped us back at ferry . The female staff at reception was really lovely. it was a close walk to the IGA supermarket to get any supplies needed.

We traveled in by AMHS, moving back to Alaska, and the hotel was the perfect stop to spend the night before traveling on. Easy after-hours check-in, room was quiet, clean and comfortable.

Older hotel, could use some updating, but it was clean and comfortable. Very pricey, most expensive hotel on our trip, but it's Haines, and when demand exceeds supply, you can charge what you want. Breakfast is only continental and doesn't start until 7:15 so we didn't stay and hit the road.

The rooms were quiet overall, but the walls are thin. The view is wonderful and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the harbor. The hotel is in a good, safe location and we could walk to all of the stores and local sightseeing places. The breakfast was good and we would definitely stay there again, if we ever come back to that area.

High beds, very comfortable, room gave a sort of a cabin type of room. Big tv, wi-fi worked well. If I had know more as to what the place like, we would driven right through Haines Juction to Haines , Alaska and stay here a few days instead of overnight. Then we could see a bit more of the area. We were here just overnight, and then catching the Ferry from Haines to Skagway the next day.

Breakfast provided before we got on the road saved us a lot of time.

At first we were assigned a room with one double bed in a small room on the lower level, while we've asked for two beds at reservation time months ago, after we pointed this out to reception, we got a much better room, roomier and more comfortable, two beds, and located at street level, we were satisfied with the service.

Location was great and near the ferry. It was also close to town and could walk to all the places versus having to drive. Also enjoyed the room and comfortable bed that was provided. Would happily stay again.

I really enjoyed the place.

The views from our room, the breakfast room, and the balcony were incredible! Our room was well appointed with a table and chairs, nightstands on both sides of the bed, a fridge with a freezer, a closet, and a full bathroom. The continental breakfast was about what you’d expect, but I did appreciate the hard boiled eggs. The staff were helpful and kind. The location is wonderful for walking around Haines and going out the road to explore.

The bed was a little soft and concave in the middle. The walls were a tad thin; we could hear someone talking on the phone in the room next to us the first afternoon we were there, but it wasn’t a problem after that.

A bit rustic but kept very clean. Bed was comfy. Microwave snd fridge handy for us travelers who were road tripping (which were most of us). Loved that the host opened continental breakfast early and it had hard boiled eggs, cheese, yoghurt, applesauce and more. Plus paper bags. Perfect for grab n go. We had hundreds of miles ahead of us and this was very thoughtful!! The local Mountain Market had great food items we picked up to eat in (those Indian Food Bites) and deli items.

Someone in next room took a looong bath and used up the hot water! Arghh. Ah well. Sponge bath time for us.

We were greeted by Greg, the owner, with such great hospitality, he upgraded our room just because “who wants a street view when you can have a sea view” :) Great location, beautiful views, comfy rooms, absolutely best staff :)

Nice outlook to the water and mountains, very friendly and helpful staff including transfer from and to the ferry terminal. Close to restaurants cafes supermarket etc. Nice breakfast
