After spending 5 days driving in on the Alaskan Highway and staying in somewhat "rustic" places, Westmark Inn was like checking in to the lap of luxury. The rooms, though small, were well decorated and the beds were very comfortable! I slept so well that night. As history buffs, we liked the historic photos as the room artwork. Upon check - in the staff was very nice and was able to offer much needed advice on where to eat, how long the walk to the train station in the morning would be and how to go, and where we could do laundry.

I could not think of anything that was not satisfactory when we stayed. We came on their last weekend they were open in September, and I would have liked to have stayed my entire time in Skagway there but had to move to another location because of their closing. I wish the website had noted that they were closing on that weekend so we would have known why we could only get one night there.

Room smelled stale like an old building - which it is. In fact the smell was similar to the old trappers cabin in a museum. I was disappointed in the lack of wifi in the rooms. Just in the lobby and restaurant. The television is mediocre so I just watched tv on my phone in my room for privacy - not interested in sitting in a public place akin to waiting for a flight. Was strange to have a real key but I guess it ads to the charm. Disappointed that I arrived at 1200 and couldn’t check into my room til after 3pm - I know that’s the new norm - checkout was at 1030 I left early and the cleaning staff was ready to move in -

Nice inn that has just changed names/ownership to the Holland-America Skagway Inn. Great location, just two blocks from the White Pass & Yukon Route train depot. Also, close to everything downtown. Beds very comfortable. Shower/bathroom very good and clean. Nice restaurant/bar on site. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. Room rate not bad considering this is a tourist destination.

The service at breakfast (Extra $$) was quite slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Took a long time to even get a coffee. Server seemed preoccupied with other things. The cost of said breakfast was a bit high, in my opinion. No air conditioning in our room. Was quite warm on arrival. AC is an asset these days, or at least open a window for your guests prior to their arrival.

Historic part of town, clean and bright room. A little small as we had two large suitcases, but we managed ok for two nights. There are fridges in these rooms but the staff were very kind when we asked if we could keep milk their fridge, which we couldn’t. So they brought a small fridge to our room. Plenty of towels and nice bright bathroom. If you choose not to have your room cleaned , housekeeping will leave a $5 voucher to use in the restaurant. Speaking of which this is fabulous restaurant, we had dinner there both evenings, throughly recommended the raspberry pavlova for desert. Most shops in the town close up at 6pm /7pm there are a couple of places to eat. It’s very busy in the town during the day as the Cruise ships dock for the day. It’s a beautiful historical town.

Amazing, clean and spacious room in Skagway. Walking distance to everything within town yet off a side street so it was a quiet stay. Shower was incredible with all toiletries provided. Bed was very comfortable. Luggage storage helped as well.

Honestly very much enjoyed my entire stay here. I don't believe there was an elevator which could be an issue for some but was not for me. The food in the cafe was a bit overpriced but easily avoided. I think there was a shuttle to the ferry but I did not use it; the walk was only about 15 min.

Sadly this hotel did not provide breakfast. Although the cafe did a breakfast burrito! The room was a bit dated but everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. I think it was coming to the end of the season and everywhere seemed to be about to pack up including the hotel restaurant!! (Mid September) The hotel was perfect for our requirements - one night stay in Skagway.

It would have been good if they had the restaurant providing breakfast!

Really nice. Thoroughly clean, quality fixtures and fittings, fabulous staff. Staying here feels like a real luxury experience. Worth the money.

There is no wifi in the rooms for some reason. You won't get any useful data from your cell service when cruise ships are in town either. There is no fridge in the room.

The location is right in the middle of the action and close to the ferry terminal. Water pressure was amazing in the shower and I love the dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash as it reduces waste so much! lovely staff too!

Older building so you can hear through walls those noisy guests. There was wifi only in the lobby and café and the TV’s were down. No a/c unit and my room was on a busy parking lot so room was hot and no air flow from outside.

The location was great. We could walk everywhere, to the shops, train, restaurants, etc. The staff went above and beyond when we missed our jet boat tour, talking twice with representatives and making it happen. We had the breakfast buffet onsite and it had everything one would want and not too bad of a price. Once we missed the dining hours and the pub made an excellent breakfast wrap. We didn't sit in the lobby, but many people did and it was spacious with lots of seating. There even was a more quiet place to sit if you wanted. We love sitting outside and the courtyard was a wonderful place to do that. Maybe a table would be nice so you could play a game out there. We really appreciated the washers and dryers and we did do a load of laundry. When we checked out they kept our luggage in a locked room while we shopped and waited for the ferry to head back to Juneau. This place was well maintained.

Not much. We didn't have a microwave or frig but did fine without either.
