We loved how comfortable and cozy the cabin was. We love how clean everything was and we were so happy with the views and how magical it felt. We stayed in the cabin w floating bunk bed and loft—-as you look out loft window, it felt like you were in a treehouse! And GREAT coffee…and everything you need and then some for comfy stay!! LOVED this property! Just magical!

We loved everything

We were welcomed warmly by one of the owners. He shared information about good places to eat and directed us to our cabin. The cabin had a great set up with a small kitchen, living room and an upstairs loft. It was cozy and comfortable. There are bears around as was evidenced by a fresh pile of scat in the driveway, but we didn't see it. Just look around before you go out.

This is not the fanciest place I’ve stayed in BUT the family that runs this property does all the little things right and made me feel hugged! We really would have liked another day or two here!

I’m not a fan of the flooring (LVP). I know it’s durable and popular, it just ridged vinyl. My wish would be a scatter rug or area rug. Just personal taste and not considered in my rating.

Our family of five stayed at the Beach Roadhouse fo four nights. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. Todd was a great host and happy to answer our questions about the area. While in Haines we saw a moose, a brown bear, and lots of bald eagles. We also visited museums, picked thimbleberries, ate delicious Thai food, and drank great coffee.

It is rustic but it met our needs and we were all comfortable.

The house is beautiful, nestled into the forest. It comes with all the amenities you need. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. I would have loved to stay longer.

Guests are asked to clean the BBQ and the BBQ was not cleaned. Wouldn't wonder if the host wouldn't offer the BBQ anymore if guests can't clean up after themselves. Other than that, everything was spotless.

Location was awesome. It was a hundred yards or so from the Battery Point Trailhead. Beautiful walk through the rain forest ending up at beach and vistas. Close to Harbor, shopping and restaurants. Host was nice to talk to and had lots of tips about places to see.

Loft bedroom was nice but the stairs were a little squeaky. No tiptoeing quietly downstairs for a cup of coffee in the morning.

Wonderful place to meet son and daughter in law while working in Haines. Clean & quiet. We were able to catch up, cook, play games. Wonderful hiking trails within walking distance. House allowed us to be together, but have privacy. Full kitchen, grill outside.

Location was awesome, facilities were very good the owner even offered us bear spray when we went hiking and also offered advice on where to visit. Would definitely stay again if in the vicinity.

We were very happy with the stay nothing to dis-like.

The room was comfortable, well equipped and nicely maintained. The hot shower worked well as well as the electric heater which proved handy in the chilly morning not uncommon in Haines even in the middle of summer.

The kitchen & fridge was rather small - but functional. No complaints there either.

Staff met us and was helpful in directing us to local trail at Chilkat State Park (a must!). Everything else was as excellent. We had a spectacular view of the fjord from our deck…it was a dream to be there.

Would have loved another night…
