The manager was so nice! We were a little early and he kindly asked us to come back 30 minutes later so we sat in the car and when he came back, he told me to come in and got me checked in super quickly. Our stay was nice, lots of channels on the TV (wifi was down but who cares!), today when I checked out a young girl was there and she made great conversation and even asked me about my salon so she could schedule to get a haircut! Super duper nice staff. When my mom and I left we said this will be our new place we stay. Super affordable and SO NICE!!

Nothing, we loved it!

We stayed here for 2 nights and this hotel for a Denali walking and tours. This is a 10 min car ride from Denali Park so its very good. The room is very well located, near the road but far from the hassle of Denali (so calm that we saw a moose from our room window early morning, roaming around the back of the property). The room is spacious, with the things we need (bathroom, fridge, coffee machine, etc)

From your room the wifi was out of reach - you have to be closer to the check-in spot to be able to have a good connection. Inside the room (at the door or even in in the car in front of the door was good) but impossible inside the room.

Located in a gorgeous, breathtaking, setting, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel location has some fun history. The room was quiet and comfortable, as advertised. Everything was in good working order, and a convenient location between the nearby town and the National Park. Every need was met!

Only minor details, the in room coffee was weak, (the complimentary coffee in the main office was better). The sink is located outside of the bathroom, which felt like a strange layout.

I would call this a backpacker recovery motel it is just a basic bed and shower which would be fine if it was priced that way but it is very costly for what it is Also I was checking in with my elderly parents (think mid 80’s) and had sent a note weeks ahead that we would appreciate an early check in absolutely no effort was made to accommodate this they made us wait at the desk till 4 o’clock exactly before they would give us room keys.

The room was clean and we felt safe. The towels were adequate. There was coffee in the room as well as in the lobby. Love the lobby in the train car!

We chose this hotel because it was a little cheaper that others closer to the train station and we were traveling on a budget. I asked about transportation when making the reservation and was told we could use a ride share. When we got there we learned that there were no Uber or Lyft services, nor public transportation. The only service was the Denali Shuttle that charged us $80 each way. With the $160 we paid in transportation the price was more than it would have been to stay at one of the resorts that offered transfer service to the train station. Also, there is only one restaurant within walking distance from the hotel. I feel that this would be important information for the hotel to share.

This is an older, quaint property. If you are looking for a local and real experience - this is the place! If you need many amenities, creature comforts, and to be in the middle of the action - look elsewhere... VERY quiet, convenient location (to Denali/town). Very clean rooms and property. Pillows/sheets very soft and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Would like to have seen a moose on/near the property as some others had indicated... If we weren't traveling across Alaska, we would have been more than happy to spend our entire time at Denali Park Motel.

This is a small privately owned business, conveniently located off the only highway in the region. It's a humble laid back place, not fancy, no frills. I've stayed here 3 times because it's usually the cheapest hotel in that area. Beds/pillows are good, rooms are clean. Bathrooms are small and repairs are evident. There is almost no room for anything around the sink because that's also where the coffee maker sits. There is a fridge and microwave located awkwardly in an open closet area. BUT this place totally suits our needs! WiFi, smart TV, very friendly staff. The surroundings are beautiful; often see moose nearby. You do need your own transportation and there are good places to eat, as well as a grocery store down the road. At first glance the price looks high for what you're getting...but then you see how expensive other nearby options are...and this place becomes MORE than satisfactory. I always look here first for lodging in the Healy/Denali Natl Park area.

Comfortable and clean. They have a toaster and coffee/hot water at reception. Staff were informative and friendly. 15 minute drive to Denali Visitor Centre.

Overpriced in comparison to other similar accommodation. WIFI doesn’t work too well in the room but strong when you walk on the verandah.

The only pet friendly motel in the Denali area! Quiet, with a nice brushy area to walk your dog.

Pet fee is $35 per day, and due to a recent dog urinating on a box spring, they put the fear of the Lord into you if your dog does anything, it will cost $800. Can't use a towel, get on the bed, etc. My dog was exhausted from travel, so she barely moved from a single spot on the floor. I did not rest easy that she might bark, and we'd be asked to leave. I cleaned up every strand of dog hair and asked the desk clerk to check the room to verify we did no damage. Floor in the bathroom was sloped.

I love this location as it isn’t in the bustle of Denali village. Nice 3/4 mile walk down to Otto lake. Amazing value for money. Easy 1.5 drive to 49th brewing.

The shower heads are a bit low, at about 5’6”. I stayed here in 2018 as well and I don’t believe the rooms have been updated in terms of linens/ carpet etc. but the location and quaint vibe makes it worth it.
