The hotel provided a free ride service to the center of town and other locations which was very helpful in our opinion. Also, the hotel’s location right next door to a reasonably priced grocery store was very convenient. This was our first time in Alaska, and we hope to travel to see other sites in the state in the near future!

Although the hotel isn’t close to the main tourist attractions, which I suppose might be somewhat of a disadvantage, the level of service (especially the complementary shuttle) provided to us was wonderful and greatly appreciated.

One van driver very rude , left us stranded , we had to get a taxi home after we watch him drive passed us twice. On way to destination he was peeling and eating an orange while driving with one hand.

Great location across the street from the ferry, especially if you're traveling without a vehicle. Very good towels, top-rate soap, excellent shower. Armchair plus desk in room, sitting area in lobby.

Building and room way too warm on not-warm days, even with windows open. Smoking area very close to rooms gets used. Parking was challenging. Carpet could benefit from a deep cleaning.

The room was big and bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. The shuttle was available during daytime hours.

No shuttle was available and we ended up walking at midnight in the rain to the hotel. I called about the shuttle and was told none was available but was later told by receptionist that one was available but the driver didn’t want to go out late. Also the hotel states free breakfast but it is actually a $10 discount coupon. For $10 one could buy tea or coffee and toast. The hotel needs to clarify this on web page.

Great location within walking distance of town (2.5 miles) or very near the local bus stop. The food was very good in the dining room restaurant.

Some of the electrical outlets did not work in my room, so I had to make adjustments in order to charge my appliances. I also found out, when I got my bill, that the hotel charges an extra $50.00/day for incidentals. I wasn't aware of this when I booked this hotel because it wasn't mentioned anywhere. I was told that this money would be refunded to me after my room & account was checked; this could take up to a week. The refrigerator wasn't stocked, washing machine & dryers are cash only, the restaurants/meals are on your own. What incidentals could possibly be $50.00/day?

Arrived early on ferry and was able to store my luggage while I attended appointments since too early for check-in. Staff at front desk was very helpful during the whole stay. Was nice having restaurant on premises and employees at restaurant were top notch.

Good restaurants on site, free shuttle to downtown et al & airport ferry, breakfast coupons, staff are incredibly friendly & helpful, clean rooms, nice area.

Hotels are expensive in the area so, while this & other hotels are more expensive than other states, The Landing was a very good value for the area.

The manager, David, was a lifesaver!! I was exhausted by the time I got to the hotel. He took care of my bags from the ferry, got me to & inside the hotel quickly & efficiently. Seeing how exhausted I was both physically & mentally, he put me in a room very close to the restaurant, ice machine & front desk. He was a HUGE help.

Lack of handicap amenities instead of steps for rooms on 1st floor.

Despite being able to smell cigarette smoke in the first room, the second room and staff made this a very pleasant stay.

At the check in, I was given a room that is right above the staff smoking area and I could smell the smoke as soon as I opened the window. Luckily, there was another person at the reception who quickly changed my room.

Very practical for the airport. The free shuttle service was great. Room very spacious and comfortable. Good bar and breakfast. I really liked the location. Downtown Ketchikan is Ghost town once the cruise ships leave, no point staying there.
