It was a great value with the quality evening time. In November, it’s getting dark early, so parents face a problem: how to keep kiddos entertained without much hassle and expense. In Cedar lodge, they have an indoor pool and a game room with table tennis, board games, and more. Truth be told, I had some hard time trying to keep them outside, as they were eager to go back to the hotel’s game room! And the location is very close to Yosemite national park. Also, I liked the lighting around the outdoor pool and the area next to the river

The only inconvenience is that there was only one microwave at the lobby for such a large facility. So if you want your food warm for the whole family, you have to run back and forth multiple times.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS HOTEL! It exceeded my expectations. They should improve the photos they have posted on the website because the place is so much beatiful that you saw online. It has 2 exterior pools, and 1 interior pool. Amazing views. It is 20 min away from the Yosemite Park. It has a very practical and usefull market to buy everything you need. The room has microwave and refrigerator so you can eat in your room. Also it has a restaurant where we ate the night we were there and the food was delicious. The room was big, clean and very modern. The staff are very nice and available to help.

The Wifi is terrorific. There is not phone signal, so you need Wifi if you want to use you celphone and the only place where the wifi is Ok is on the front desk building. You cannot use you phone on the rooms.

Excellent location, with perfect access to Yosemite National Park. Hassle-free parking, very quick check-in and check-out. And really amazing — a super large and very clean pool!

Wi-Fi – absolutely unacceptable Based on past reviews and complaints, it’s clear nobody has ever taken this seriously. The Wi-Fi was basically non-functional — at 5 a.m. it was just enough to check WhatsApp, but later in the day not even that. In the evenings there was no connection at all, not even at the reception. ⚠️ Important: there is no mobile phone signal in this location, so Wi-Fi would be the only possible connection to the outside world. During a cross-country trip through the USA, with the need to plan the next days, this is simply impossible — and apparently nobody cares. Considering the remote location, the shop should also be much, much better supplied. As it is, this is really far too little.

The room was comfortable, the AC worked well, the bed was comfortable. Loved the pools!

The bathroom door was in need of some paint, as the old paint was peeling off. The bathroom light had a sensor which turned on the light whenever someone would enter. It would be nice to be able to override that. The restaurant was DREADFUL!! The food was just awful. The manager seemed to be a young woman (a teenager, perhaps?) who did NOT know what she was doing. Her staff were equally incompetent. And the food was way overpriced. We were not happy when, on the last night of our stay, we wanted to go to our favorite pool at night to be under the chandeliers, only to find that the pool had been reserved for a private party. We were very bummed out by this.

The photos on Booking.com do the place no justice. I've attached photos that give an accurate view of my room (Standard King Room). I had a very comfortable bed in a room with a serene environment. Everything was working -- power outlets, USB charging ports, clean shower with efficient hot water flow, electronic door lock, free coffee, efficient room heating etc. (Small thing, but I do wish there were more orange lights in my room) The entire compound had such a lovely, rustic, tranquil atmosphere. I spent the morning just listening to birds chirping and had a meditative experience. I did not get to use the pool but I believe it is heated in winter and had a glimpse of it -- looked simple and nice. They also have a games room I didn't get to visit. Check-in was easy - Chris attended to me and was patient, friendly and warm. Check-out was also breezy, receptionist (unfortunately I didnt get her name) was warm and helpful too. The recent rockslide also led to me having to seek support from yosemiteresorts.com. Jessie attended to me and was also very helpful and efficient, giving me the assurance I needed. 2 downsides - price is very high for a solo traveler (270usd, booked about a month in advance). the time I booked, other places were booked out so I just took this one. If you are not in a rush, there are properties that avail at much lower prices for stays within the next few days. That said, after actually visiting Yosemite, I realised Curry Village and Yosemite *Valley* Lodge were quite crowded, lots of cars and footfall. I then came into deeper appreciation of the peaceful atmosphere at Cedar. The other thing is, further down the road, I believe also property owned by yosemiteresorts.com, is a hotel called Yosemite *View* Lodge. Some rooms there are next to the beautiful Merced River, and like Cedar Lodge, it is also a stop along the YARTS bus route (the public transport that you can take to enter/exit Yosemite National Park).

Nice, large and well appointed room. Comfortable enough. No real negatives. Location in relation to park entrance is a bonus.

The breakfast option, which was a little expensive, was buffet only. A poor selection of food options. The pre. cooked toast was inedible. It was dry and shattered to crumbs when buttering was attempted. When asked if there was fresh toast I was told that 'It's toast, it's supposed to be crunchy'. The service was a little rude and indifferent to say the least. My tip...take your own cereal or boiled eggs, etc.

The best part of this property was the river across from the entrance. Beautiful clear water with stunning views up and down the river. There was a small sand area and chairs for relaxing. There was an on-site shop, which was very useful . The stuff was super friendly and helpful. The outdoor pools were clean.

The bar and Grill was massively overpriced for the food that you got given There was only plastic utensils and paper plates. The Wi-Fi did not reach the far end of the hotel That was very little option to park your car in the shade

It was extremely lovely for its location however, sat right in front of the Merced River and a charming walkway alongside it with gazebos and benches scattered all along the path and was only a half-hour drive to the Arch entrance of Yosemite. The pillows were so nice I was tempted to take one, a fridge was provided as well as a coffee maker and the accompanying coffee. No microwave though, but, a restaurant on the premises and a market just 10 minutes up the road (7 am - 6 pm). There were three pools, one indoor and one for adults only which was a cool feature.

While it is a fairly nice place to stay, you really are paying for its location. While we had wifi, we could not use our devices without a signal, which we did not have given the lodge's location. Not to mention wifi was free, but, was only applicable for 2 devices at most, and any additional device you wanted would have to be charged and added to your account at the front desk.

The location was pretty decent when coming to Yosemite Park. It was outside the park but only 30 min (app) from the front entrance. It had lots of great amenities like 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool and hot tub, and a pool table. Also had a mini store with some food and essentials which came in handy. The room was way nicer than I expected and turned out to be better than the pictures listed.

When trying to use the bath jets, upon turning it on, multiple bugs sprayed out as my girlfriend was trying to use it. It seemed like it hadn't been run in a bit, so the pipes weren't very cleared up. However, after running it for a bit, it cleared up and became usable. Other than that, everything went better than I had expected.

There are couple of buildings in the back row that were recently added to the facility. The new rooms updated and clean, and quite functional. I'm not sure if the front buildings were renovated but they were older when I previously stayed in 2023.

The free wifi which is on a Starlink network works only when there's low traffic. At around dinner time the bandwidth jams with traffic causing unusable connection. The TV which is also on the same internet network stops working during high demand hours.
