This was my second time staying at Motel Mediteran. It seems like a family owned and run place, so you get that feel when you check in. Priya at the front desk remembered me from the last time I stayed, so it was nice to see her again. If you have a vehicle, this is a great location, very close to the 15 freeway. Plenty of free parking. Short drive to grocery stores, and restaurants. The motel upgraded the rooms since I visited in 2023, so the room was nice. Our room was by the fountain and gazebo, which was actually very pleasant, and the room position was very good. I used the laundry this time, which was clean and super convenient. My family stayed in the 1 bedroom that had a kitchenette, which was nice because we could cook during our long stay. This room was quiet in general. Heaters worked well in December chill. Bedding and linens are always white and clean. Housekeeping staff is always around to replenish when needed, and they are kind and professional. Will return again when in San Diego.

I love this place and would stay again. The only suggestions I have for improvements is the room could use a little more storage for clothes and things. The kitchenette was great, but we didn't find any pots, pans, dishes, etc, Fortunately we had our own. Other than that, our stay was good.

the room/suite was huge, complete with enclosed balcony that featured a full kitchen. Meticulously clean! the room even included an indoor jacuzzi that was awesome! Definitely would recommend and also stay here again. Office staff was extremely nice and friendly. This hotel is the perfect example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover!! VERY HAPPY WE ENDED UP THERE! THANK YOU!!

literally my only complaint is we couldn't find the ice machine and weren't sure if there was an on-site vending machine but to be fair..... we couldn't have just called the office to ask, it just wasn't that important to us at the time. kind wished they had more parking but that being said, we were able to find parking it was just the last spot is all. not really a big deal either

The property was very clean and so relaxing! The staff as friendly and available to any request. I enjoyed the coffee at the front desk and the sounds of the water from the fountain (charming). Quaint sitting area and even a place to do laundry! The parking was available and had no problems finding a spot. The room was exceptional and very clean! The beds were SO comfortable We had a wonderful time! Me and my family highly recommend this Motel. It is worth it! Thank you again Pria for being for accommodating and friendly!

I cannot say one bad thing. This a pleasant surprise to find such a gem in San Diego CA! We will return and stay here upon our return! Keep up the great work, you guys have earned it!

The staff was very accommodating after the first room issues. The second room was perfect. Hot water was plentiful. Beds were super comfortable, not to soft but not to hard. Nice to have a refrigerator and microwave. Very fair and reasonable rates.This is my second time here and will always stay here when visiting Escondido. Close to everything.

The curtains are wooden shutters. The bedding was very minimal for winter temperatures. An extra blanket in the closet would be super beneficial.

We liked the overall cleanliness, beds were comfortable, overall quiet from neighbors, hot water pressure was good and lasted, parking was convenient, location was great, conveniences of refrigerators, and staff was kind and welcoming.

The air conditioning was really loud, and construction next door started pretty early, no bathtub stopper in regular bathroom, and we could of used extra linens/ towels, however, we never asked since it was one night. However, if we had stayed longer I’m sure we would of, and no privacy curtain for large jacuzzi bath area,

The aesthetic appeal from outside is misleading; this property rates high in comfort and efficiency. Faux wood floors throughout (no carpet) clean, quiet, and comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping while on the road, but this property quelled those worries. My request for an upstairs corner room was granted, because I had work to complete. Comes complete with a small refrigerator and microwave. Spacious and comfortable. Very pleasantly surprised.

Very little to complain about. The bar soap is small, and there is only coffee available in the morning. But the pros well outweigh the cons. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Nice motel for its price

I booked 2 queen beds through booking.com, but somehow their system showed 1 king bed booked for me. The room was great, but the bedsheets were stinking

Very clean and neat, pleasant decor, quiet. Quiet and efficient air conditioner. Good lighting. Pleasant, helpful staff.

No chair, no desk in the room, making it hard for any of us to read, work on the computer, write letters during our 3-night stay. Coffee in the rooms would have been nice though there isn't much room for a coffee maker. Fortunately, the office had fresh, good coffee and tea available (and real half-and-half). Wi-Fi coverage was mediocre.

I have stayed at this motel several times, and the new upgrades make a difference. My only wish is that their beds were a bit more firm for my taste. The staff are friendly and the space was adequate.

I smelled marijuana emanating from another room which I did not appreciate. I understand California allows for people to use it, but I did not like having to smell it during my stay.

Room was amazing. Beds were so comfortable. Room was very clean. Room had Heater/AC, Fridge, Microwave which worked very well. Rooms were also sound proof which was a plus. Hot water was plentiful. This motel has no problem with daily room cleaning. Neighborhood felt very safe. Facility personnel were very kind and professional.

The bottom of the beds would light up when you walked into the room. We ended up unplugging them because they were motion sensitive and very bright. Other then that everything was fantastic!!
