Loved the location. I was in LA for the basketball at Crypto.com Arena, so the location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. It was about a 2 minute walk via the LA Live precinct from the hotel to the arena, with plenty of great bars and restaurants along the way (shout out to Tom's Watch Place!). The hotel was spacious, clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. My room was quite big and had plenty of light from the large window that overlooked the arena. Housekeeping provided bottled water each day. Breakfast was reasonably priced, and the gym was actually pretty good too. It was only a 15 minute walk downtown to supermarkets and other food options if nothing in the hotel or in LA Live met your needs, which was handy. A cab from the hotel to Santa Monica or Beverly Hills took about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. I was a solo traveller and really enjoyed my stay. It was ideal.

If I have to be picky, the only issue was that room service was very expensive. It was nearly $200 AUD for a pizza and a decent bottle of wine. The only other minor issue was that the shower wasn't great. The showerhead didn't give a steady stream. First world problem though, right!

What not to like? The staff was incredibly helpful -- especially after the exact opposite experience at the hotel figueroa! The facilities were wonderful. The room very clean and up to date.

Can't think of anything. Parking is expensive, but that does not seem unique to this hotel.

The food was exceptional, room service was very fast and the staff was amazing

The location, once you step outside the hotel it’s very dirty and I didn’t like that

I stayed at the JW Marriot for one night for Anime Expo this past weekend. The JW Marriot was part of the convention itself and I was impressed by how elaborately decorated the hotel was with anime advertisements in the lobby. I could also see the LA convention center from outside my window which was also a nice touch. Aside from that, the hotel room itself was very comfortable, I also ordered dinner via room service and it was excellent. I plan on staying at the JW Marriot again next year for Anime Expo 2026.

A little bit pricey. But aside from that, no real complaints.

The rooms are big but with little decoration, it was also cold and they didn’t have heating, had to ask for an aditional blanket

We had a problem on registration - firstly the hotel applied a daily charge which we weren’t expecting or budgeted for. Although refundable at the end of our stay it did knock a hole in our spending plans. Secondly after I had transferred money from my bank to the Chase card I’d been using throughout my stay in USA I was told that Apple Pay was not accepted at Marriott. I then had to make emergency alternative arrangements which delayed check in by 2 hours! It would be helpful for such information to be given to customers prior to arriving at the property to avoid these embarrassments and difficulties! Fortunately one of the Reception Managers ( Mauricio) stepped in to help and was very good to us throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to make up for our initial experiences and we have nothing but total praise for his efforts.

Very easy. They have a solution to every inconvenience in the real world. The pool and hot tub was so luxurious. Next time I’m gonna order food poolside!

One little thing, I wanted to soak in the tub in my room, and the drain was messed up. The plug was detached from the hole. I spent a good 10 minutes putting it back in place. I’m sure someone from the staff would have gladly helped though.

Our room was super clean which I loved. Bed sheets were of good quality and soft. I also liked the firmness of the mattress. We ate at the Italian restaurant on-site and it was excellent. Expensive, but excellent. Our server was SO nice. We were moving our daughter into her dorm at USC and stayed for the first time at this hotel. We loved it and will be back.

The woman who checked us out was cranky. It was the only flaw in our otherwise perfect stay.

The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The fitness center was well equipped, and I loved that it was open 24/7, though I only used it during standard hours. The staff, especially Evelyn at the check in desk, was excellent.

Can't think of anything other than I wish that valet parking wasn't $60 per day!

Location and you don’t hear any noise from outside street since the windows are well noise proof. Customer service is excellent. I can’t remember the name of the front desk clerk she was delightful and very helpful also luckily she did my check out too. She was on duty Saturday around noon and Sunday at 10:30 am. This is my 3 time staying in this hotel never disappoint me.
