The hotel is located in DTLA, not far from both Pico station and 7th/Metro. The Convention Center is about 20 minutes away on foot. The location was perfect for what I needed and wanted, and I didn't find it dangerous at night at all The rooms are great, with a strange but cool hipster-esque vibe to them. The view from the room, and in some cases literally from your bed (I think the layout changes from room to room) is amazing, with sunset and sunrise right in front of you. The rooms are large enough, and you get plenty of free water, tea and coffee included in the price. There's a rooftop pool, it's not large or deep, but it's good enough, and the view, again, is amazing. You also have a rooftop bar, a lounge bar and a cafe in the same building. The price is okay for the location and for what you get

The coffee/tea mugs in my room hadn't been washed properly, and one of the (many) towels, the smallest one, hadn't been washed properly either, with traces of somebody's lipstick on it. But I read a lot of reviews before booking and there a couple of recurring criticisms and I want to address one: location. The location was perfect for me, but that's because I like DTLA, and the fact that it can be a bit dodgy, (it has always been like that) doesn't bother me. However, I know that some people just feel uncomfortable in DTLA sort of by default because it definitely has a certain vibe to it so bear that in mind

The hotel was great. The apartment was stylishly furnished, everything was clean, and the towels were white, fresh, and clean. We had an iron, a TV and a hairdryer. The host was friendly and kept my luggage after checkout until the evening when I had my flight.

There were many homeless and crazy people in the surrounding area.

Loved that historic building and the vibes: the California Petroleum Corporation Building, later known as the Texaco Building building that had completely been restored and renovated to serve as a trendy boutique hotel by Ace Hotel (till 2024). Rooms with industrial design. For the price and location, it was definitely a great deal. My room was clean, spacious and with a panoramic view on the city. Hotel is located in the southern part of Broadway street, near to restaurants, cafés, bus stops and a couple of blocks away from the metro.

The room was rather cold and so was the shower: the problem was however quickly fixed after I raised it to the staff in the lobby. Although at the 11th floor, the room was also (very) noisy, mostly due to the original window frames that were high standards at the beginning of the last century (I would add, that's the price to be paid if you wish to stay in a preserved historic building). As expected, there were homeless in the surrounding area - that being said, we always felt safe everywhere!

The staff were all brilliant. Everyone was very professional and friendly. The bed was super comfortable, and there were enough towels and storage space. And the location was fantastic - really easy to access bus/metro routes, and to find places to eat.

The water in the shower took a long time to get warm. Also getting the access codes via email the day of check-in is problematic for international visitors. I struggled to access my emails initially. It was fine because the concierge let me in, but it could have been an issue if there were no members of staff on the front door.

Stile downtown was a great hotel! Our stay was extra awesome because of the staff, the surprising amenities, and the rooftop pool. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We got checked in early by Frankie. We got to enjoy some hours poolside before heading out. And did I tell you about amenities like water, coffee, and full size toiletries. I also loved that there was a restaurant, coffee shop, and ice cream in the lobby. Lots of upscale restaurants in the neighborhood and even just down in the lobby. Super convenient having a coffee shop, a CVS, and liquor shops nearby. My ultimate favorites are the Brazilian restaurant and the French restaurant called Zinque. I’d definitely go back in a heartbeat!

It’s in the downtown area. It’s gentrified but also sketchy. If you’re not the adventurous type and like everything to be perfectly manicured, this neighborhood isn’t for ya!

Loved the unique style of the hotel, the neighborhood and the restaurant, which has delicious food! The staff was very friendly at all times and the views from the rooftop bar are amazing.

The shower was terrible to navigate and hard to get the room warm - but otherwise, no further comments!

The room was comfortable even though it was very unusual. The industrial feel took some getting used to but it grew on us. The bathroom was well appointed. There were great views out the window. The beds were super low but amazing. Really comfortable. There is a coffee shop in the hotel. Next door is a 24 hr convenience store. Some great food options all around. We stayed on the 4th floor which had the gym and the laundry on it. Super convenient for a family.

The water was cold to warm to shower. They were prompt to try to fix it but really couldn't. LA has become a filthy city. Extremely neglected and the homeless situation is so sad. They were everywhere unfortunately. Even outside the hotel. But truth be told the hotel staff cannot manage this. It's a problem the city has to address.

For those who value privacy, I highly recommend Kasa Hotel. It’s only a 10-minute drive from Koreatown, and I loved that there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to walk around. From check-in to check-out, you can do everything on your phone without ever having to visit the front desk, and even after midnight, you can request housekeeping services through real-time chat, which was a major plus. The large windows covering an entire wall made the room feel open, and I thought the hotel rates were affordable compared to the price. This trip was a great experience, especially because I was able to bring my pet along.

Location was very convenient and close to a lot of things to do. The bed was comfortable, the shower and bathtub were relaxing. There was plenty of closet space for my belongings. The rooftop bar was closed during my stay but it seemed very nice and the rooftop pool was small but nice as well. The windows were huge and provided and beautiful view of the city at night.

The room could use a little more lighting. The handle on the sink was loose as well as the handle on the toilet. The AC and heat in the room weren’t always working the best and the mini fridge didn’t really keep drinks cold. There were some damages to the futon couch but we didn’t really use it much so it didn’t hinder us. One of the biggest inconveniences was that there was no on site parking.
