The staff are really friendly there. If you're someone who has an active and sporty lifestyle, this will definitely meet your needs, the facilities are top-notch!

One thing I'd say to look out for is that they do shut access to their buildings after certain times on a weekday and weekends. So if you're checking out and leaving luggages with the front desk, just make sure you bear this in mind as I was stuck at the entrace for quite a bit as no one was there at the front desk to let me in. Also, at this price point, I'd expect the hotel to at least provide a pair of slippers :)

The hotel has a great pool for lane swimming. The room was clean, and there is a rooftop where you can go up to. The parking was convenient. There is a parking lot next door which has an elevator connected to the hotel (note that parking is extra).

The walls are a bit thin--we can hear our neighbors through the closed adjoining door when they were talking. Even though the gym facilities are great, we were not given a lot of information on them during check in. Be sure to ask about specific gym facilities when you check in if you're interested in using them. Walking outside is a bit scary, but this is downtown LA so it's expected.

Sport facilities are great (swimming pool 25y, fitness (incl lessons), indoor basket ball ground, pool table, etc) Location is central Parking available (30$ per day for the hotel guests) Staff very friendly

Hotel is great but rooms are pretty small and bathroom outdated (but you dont stay much in the room;-) Would have appreciated a Breakfast buffet rather than restaurant.

The hotel is overall great. It is well decorated, well taken care of, clean, the staff are amazing. Sierra who is working at the bar was especially so kind and friendly- she made our day :) The hotel has a nice rooftop! Location is great- we took the subway or busses to everywhere. The fitness classes are great!!!

The bed could have been a bit more comfy and toilet could have been renewed!

great building with lots of character, loved the sports facilities. all a bit dated but clean

we understood the location of the hotel was in downtown (which was great for the Lakers game we saw) and LA has quite a bit of homelessness, but i was still amazed when walking around seeing the armies of 'zombies'. Shocking to see how society seems to have given up on these people and at the same time you are confronted with the hopeless nature of drug addiction at a scale I have never seen before.

Unparalleled recreational facilities. Pools, fitness, basketball, running track and more. Facilities are shared with club members who were surprisingly welcoming and kind. Joseph Morino, the facility manager, was a delight.

Hotel parking. Hotel card repeatedly failed to register on card reader. Ended up overpaying for parking and not refunded by the hotel. If you park after 20:00, you are locked out of direct access to the hotel and have to a block in a somewhat seedy neighborhood to the front entrance to be buzzed in.

Great location. Amazing facilities and local history. Hidden Gen. Very attentive staff, from the hotel receptionist and lockers room, to the barista (at the Pool cafe) and gym trainers. For those oriented to fitx, that's the place to stay, you will have no excuse not to exercise. Bed is extremely comfortable and my back is very picky for mattress comfort.

Two things didn't go well: 1. two out of five nights - my neighbor rooms were noise and I could hear their conversation late night. (maybe having connecting doors, the sound proof isn't great) 2. They offer Robes for guests to use in their facilities, I wanted to purchase one to take home to Australia and they were out of stock.

The location was close to some great venues and restaurants, although there was a lot of construction and some unhoused people. The facilities at the Athletic Club were great, and the common vintage spaces were fabulous.

The room bathrooms were a bit clinical and out of date. Our room only had 1 window, so it was dark. We were awoken by jackhammers at 6:30 am on Saturday due to construction.
