This was my second time staying in LA and at this property in the past 3 months. The location is excellent, near where I needed to be. Every time I come here, the staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I was pleased that my accommodation booking was upgraded to room 203, a delightful room with an en-suite balcony. I used this space every day to read and enjoy the fresh air. I also really enjoyed overlooking the promenade with the string lights in full view. What a nice touch! I did not rent a car on my first visit, so I had no use for the secure parking amenities; however, this time I did rent a car, and I was thrilled to know the parking was gated. Finally, I really like that each unit has a personalized message on the TV screen as you walk into the unit and that each one is outfitted with a microwave, small fridge/freezer (major plus), and an ironing board. All around, nice touches. I will be coming back to stay in the future and will recommend this establishment to others who visit me from out of state.

I stayed for two nights - I didn't need my bed or room turned for the second day. This not only takes additional time to complete, but also uses more electricity and labor.

Location and outside of the hotel looks a little sketchy, but there are sketchy areas everywhere nowadays. Once you make it inside, the hotel itself is very modern and clean, which was a pleasant surprise. I was there for 5 days with my family. Check in process was quick and easy, they provided 2 room keys and our breakfast tickets for our stay. Breakfast was good, exactly what you'd expect of a continental breakfast. The breakfast attendant was polite and very helpful. Actually, I should say, everyone from the front desk staff to the housekeeping ladies were just so lovely and helpful with anything we needed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced stay with all the amenities.

As a guest, you are charged 11$ a night to use the hotel parking, which we had never encountered before but it seems you have to pay everywhere to park in L.A. so I guess it's the norm. Just something we weren't expecting or accustomed to.

The hotel was really good I felt safe and they cleaned the room everyday. Breakfast was fresh and quite filling. Reception is very friendly. The kiosk feature was too good . Didn't realize I was talking to a live person for sometime :-D. The beds were super comfortable, slept like a log.

It's not the hotel's issue but the neighborhood is quite a place. Feels really unsafe after dark if you are walking towards hotel from mac Arthur metro station but the hotel is a metro ride away to downtown, union Station and even universal studio .. very convenient .

Comfortable bed and pillows, great room lay out and very nice bathroom. Didn’t know there was a pool when i booked so that was a nice surprise! The pool area was great :)

Poor breakfast the hashbrowns were completely raw and still hard. Not much option for vegetarians. Some of the cleaners are very rude! Definitely need better training. Room was dirty but thankfully someone came to clean it when i complained. Also a lady woke me up at 3am screaming and asking for help outside my door, i didn’t go out for my own safety.

Our room was so comfortable and quiet! We were given complimentary breakfast vouchers at the cafe downstairs, which was a great treat. The staff were lovely and check in/check out were easy and quick.

Surrounding location was pretty sketchy - I didn't feel super safe walking around on my own, especially at night, but there isn't a lot the hotel can do about that. At least it was close to of lots of restaurants and the downtown area.

It was our first time staying here and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was better than expected. Everything we needed was included in the room (microwave, ironing board, fridge, etc.) The cafe and lounging area downstairs and outside was also extremely convenient.

The fan in the bathroom is motion activated, which was a bit annoying. Since it was so loud, we would turn it off, but it would turn on again about 15 seconds later :(

Friendly staff...easy check in..... good facilities on the premises. Room was spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast choices. There was also an online reception available. Parking available for a reasonable daily rate.

Although there was a laundry on site, and reception advised that they could provide the coins necessary to use the machines, I was unable to get same on three separate occasions. Didn't take away from an overall good experience......

Helpful staff, the room felt clean and I found it to be an over all pleasant stay.

I didn't like that I reserved a room with a patio or balcony as shown in the advertisement. However, the room I was given had a sliding glass door that opened onto common undivided space. That was disappointing.

We were all satisfied with the smooth check-in, cleanliness, breakfast, check-out, staff on duty for assistance, the virtual assistance system. Our stay was for six days, we would definitely recommend Live Hotel to others.

The location is not a plus.
