I wanted an affordable, comfortable room nearby and this is exactly what I wanted. Bed was comfy, room was safe, and the price and location were great. They even have HBO on the TV! I got exactly what I wanted from this room.

Nitpicking here, but the ceiling light didn't seem to work. The main door lock was solid, but the chain lock was missing and looked broken off. There was some light visible repairs in the bathroom.

Big, comfortable room, quiet place despite being right next to main road. All was clean and very close to ocean, safe neighborhood.

Missing forks, plates, knives and spoon despite kitchen being present.

Wifi was surprisingly good, kitchenette with microwave and small fridge was a nice addition, and very generous with free amenities.

Plumbing would occasionally screech. Fixed it by turning off the water to the toilet overnight, but not ideal. Air conditioner was also quite noisy, so didn't feel that I could run it overnight.

Good sized room in a convenient location. Having the small kitchen was great and the bathroom was a good size too.

A little tired and dated but well cared for.

Was very cozy, several stores were within easy walking distance and privacy was great. TV and cable was also provided along with an AC unit so that was nice as well.

There was an extremely large, wall sized mirror in my room that I didnt like, but thats entirely personal since I dont like mirrors haha.

I had very low expectations based ln the reviews here. The property is not in a sketchy area at all. I did not feel threatened. The outward appearance of the place is lackluster and perhaps a bit off-putting, but the room is spacious and clean and colorful with everything you need. The $1 bus to Venice Beach is directly across the street, as is in and out burger, and the bus does run on Sundays. You will be within walking distance of Rockenwager which I recommend for breakfast and Ginger's ice cream a little further up Washington.

The woman at check-in could have smiled a bit. There was no sense that she was happy to see me or grateful for the patronage. No, "anything you need, please ask..."

Encore was the cheapest place close to Venice Beach that I could find. It did the job perfectly. The room was clean, comfy, and quiet. It was an easy bus ride to Venice beach and also to Santa Monica. We were even able to catch a bus to the airport rather than fork over a large amount for a cab/uber

Room was clean and comfy. Location was excellent. Better than I expected. Price was very reasonable, better than others. I plan to use this motel again on my next trip. The guy at the front desk was extremely pleasant.

Couldn't connect to the wi-fi.

Area is a good location but outside the property the homeless problem and street people are everywhere along with a marijuana store not far. Keep your eyes open if walking especially at night. I was woke up one Saturday evening with people screaming. While not a reflection on the owners of the property- just be vigilant.

We stay here when we come visit family who live in Venice. The motel is small, quiet, and comfortable. We like the small kitchenette because we can make our own breakfast. No cooking, but that's okay.

The rooms could do with fresh paint.
